A little goes a long way

This product does exactly what it says it will, cleanses and exfoliates. The granules are tiny so you really feel like it’s doing a decent job of getting all the dead skin and gunk off the skin. I personally found this too rough for everyday use but once or twice a week leaves my skin soft and smooth. It is an orange colour with a slight citrus scent but nothing overwhelming. While I do enjoy this scrub I’m not sure if I’d buy it again due to the price. I have tried similar products for less than half the price and as this doesn’t do anything spectacular for my skin I can’t really justify the cost. I would say this is more of a microdermabrasion type product as it is extremely gritty. I wouldn’t recommend this product for anyone with sensitive skin as it can be quite stripping.

Refreshing exfoliator

I really like this exfoliator, but for the price I'm not sure if I prefer it to drugstore brands like St Ives.

The smell is super refreshing orange and it works really well. It's also a cleanser so no pre-cleansing needed which is good when rushing! It leaves my skin a lot smoother and softer, the grains are quite large so I do need to be gentle otherwise I have some redness (my skin is quite sensitive though).

I do feel bad about all the silica beads it contains, as we all know how those affect the environment now!

Tips: As with most high end brands, it's worthwhile to wait for a sale or free gift otherwise it is quite high priced and I do use a fair amount each time so does not last any longer than a standard brand tube.

Good exfoliator, does the job

I've been using this at night really like it. It leaves my skin feeling very clean, refreshed. I use this when I'm in the shower. The small beads in the product get into my open pores and clean out all that dirt, oil. I use it 2-3 times a week. The scent is quite relaxing, fresh and pleasant. The tube is quite big and it lasts me ages.

Great exfoliator!

Clarins One Step Exfoliating Cleanser is a really effective exfoliator that isn't too harsh. I wouldn't recommend using it daily but it's great for a skin pick-me-up ever few days, and great for a really deep clean after a week of wearing lots of makeup.

It smells great, the tube lasts a really long time, and the packaging does not leak! Which is a huge bonus, I can't stand it when products leak all through my sponge bag.

This cleanser doesn't irritate dry skin when using it every few days and surprisingly for an exfoliator doesn't leave my skin feeling stripped of moisture, which some tend to do.

Tips: I like to use this at the end of my shower when my skin is steamed and moist - take a couple of minutes to gently massage it in, then thoroughly rinse off with a gentle water pressure.

Clarins one step exfoliating cleanser

I first tried a sample of this years ago, and loved the way it smelt and made my skin feel. Since then, I have used it on a regular basis as a skin exfoliant only as I didn't particularly find it useful for removing make up. Its almost as if it doesn't have enough strength to do that properly, especially if you use a long wear foundation like me. However, on a make up-free skin, it gently exfoliates the surface, and leaves my skin feeling soft, supple and well- hydrated.

Tips: The little silica beads can be annoying if they get into your hair/ eyebrows- really tricky to remove.

Clarins One Step exfoliating cleanser

LOVE THIS! is a two in one product! if you have a build up of dead skin or just love the feeling of having very clean skin use this cleanser! Its for people who get lazy with exfoliating so they can cleanse and exfoliate in one. Love the smell - not overly scented but has a pleasant smell

Tips: Dont use this product daily because it will strip your skin! use it 3x a week max

Staple Product

I have been using this product for over a year and have only just realized that I have not reviewed it. My continued use of the Clarins One Step Exfoliating Cleanser already hints at my love for this product. Previously I had been using the St Ives Apricot Scrub three times a week, however it was beginning to dawn on me that this product was too harsh for my face. The Clarins One Step Exfoliating Cleanser was a great alternative. It still provides easy, effective exfoliation, that I can certainly feel occurring, without harsh, scratchy 'grains.' I use this three times a week in the morning, in place of my standard cleanser. It leaves my skin smooth, bright and refreshed. The product itself smells refreshing, like natural orange peel rather than overly fragranced citrus. This product is gentle enough for me to use 3-4 times a week, but effective enough to have the satisfaction of noticeable exfoliation. This product is suitable for all skin types which has been helpful as my skin as changed significantly over the past year. It helps to prevent clogged pores and break outs, aids with the healing of acne scarring, as well as buffing away dry skin and removing oil. It doesn't sting my eyes and really is a great product to have in the bathroom.

A little goes a long way, I only use a pea sized amount for my entire face. I purchased this product in March last year, and only now am I coming to the end of it. I will not be immediately repurchasing, as I would like to try some other products to fuel my inner beauty addict, however I do not hesitate to recommend the Clarins One Step Exfoliating Cleanser.

Tips: Pop over to your closest Clarins counter and try some of this on the back of your hand if you are unsure about the texture.

Nice and Gritty

I acquired this product in a gift with purchase pack (love my GWPs) and loved the smell so much I went out and bought another tube for when I ran out! I used about once a week because I found my skin couldn’t handle it more often than that. I liked how you could really feel the grit polishing off all the dead skin, and leaving my face heavenly soft to touch. I found I didn’t need to put a lot on my fingers for this product to go for miles. I even began using on my neck, back and chest to rid myself of those pesky little black heads. I found it took about 4 weeks on using once a week before I really noticed results, but I was really thrilled with how fewer black heads came to the surface. I have recommended this to a few friends around my age group and they have all loved it.

Tips: Use on warm damp face and splash with cold water afterward. Great to use just before a mask.

An old favorite

I used to use this to exfoliate back when I had ultra-sensitive skin and really enjoyed using it. The micro beads are very effective at buffing away dead skin, unclogging pores and giving an all-round deep cleanse. At the time of use, I also had very dehydrated skin and the Moringa Seed was great at adding an extra kick of hydration while still be lovely and gentle.

The tube is quite large considering you only need a small amount of product to use on the face so price wise this is good value for the quality of the product. Packaging is also sturdy and will last well if you keep your skincare in the shower. Travel wise, also handy.

Overall I had a great experience with this product and only stopped using it because my skin type change and I switched to organic products but definitely check this out....

Tips: Pop into a Clarins counter and they are always willing to assist finding the right product for your skin to be the most effective.
