love this for removing eye makeup

I bought a bottle of this a couple of months before it was sold in New Zealand. I'd seen so many reviews saying it was a life changing product so i decided to give it a go. I paid about $13 off an overseas website, I actually can't remember which one Now!

This bottle is huge, it is 400mls of product so I really feel like you get a good amount of product for your money. It says on the bottle that there is enough for 200 uses. I have just finished my bottle recently and I got probably a good 5 months of everyday usage out of this. Packaging wise, this is a very simple bottle. It's clear packaging so you can easily see how much product you have left. The only thing i don't really like is the opening, because this product is the consistency of water, i wish it had some kind of dropper opening so you could better control how much product comes out. I also don't feel like this would be travel friendly, if the cap opened up, the whole bottle would leak out.

This product looks and feels like water, it has no scent. If the bottle is shaken, it will froth up though so a least you know it has some kind of cleanser in it.

I like to use a small amount on a cotton pad. I like to wear a lot of mascara, liner and shadow. This product will remove it all including mascara like the collection does it all one. I use one pad per eye. Sometimes i get a bit of stinging but i find that is because i have used too much product at one time. For a little while, I did use this to remove my face makeup as well. I wasn't the biggest fan as it felt like it left a film on my face and I'm not into having to double cleanse at night time. I want my routine as quick as possible.

so anyway, I used up the last of my bottle 2 nights ago. I had kind of ended up telling myself that it was a bit of an over rated eye makeup remover and I wasn't sure if I would pick it up again. I used to swear by makeup wipes to remove eye makeup. So the next night I went back to my makeup wipes and it was Awful! I felt like it took me 3 times as long to remove my eye makeup and I had to rub harder. Needless to say, I will be picking up another bottle very soon and I'll just stick to the wipes for travel.

I've also read that this is good for cleaning makeup brushes but I haven't tried it out yet.

Tips: Don't use too much product at once, a small amount will stop any stinging in your eyes.

Didnt Agree With My Skin :/

I've read a few reviews on this and everyone raved about it! Sure It did what it claimed, it removed all of my makeup without a lot of rubbing/effort but I wasn't a huge fan come the next morning!

I've been using the Bioderma Micelle Solution for the past few years and I love it! So when I heard people saying the Garnier version was a good dupe, for half the price I had to try it!

I was totally drawn in by the packaging, it looks great! And like I said it did remove my makeup so first impressions I was impressed!

But the next day, my skin was extra dry! My chin and under my eyes were burning and were all flaky. I do have extremely sensitive skin and I guess this product was just one of the one's that didn't agree with my skin.

I can see why a lot of people like this product it definitely does what it claims. I know everyone's skin is different, but if you have sensitive skin perhaps don't smother your face with this the first time you use it :)

Don't believe the hype!

It seems the BR world is divided into people who love this and people who don't. I really wanted to love this but....I just.....can't. I bought this at the height of its hype and was really excited to get the last bottle hidden away on the bottom supermarket shelf. I find the clear bottle with its pink lid attractive and the amount you get represents good value for money. It contains a clear, almost odourless liquid that does bubble up if you give it a shake.

Ok, so before we get started, let me make this clear. I am devoted to hot cloth cleansing with a thick, oily cleanser. So micellar was probably never going to be a good fit for me but I tried to go in with an open mind. What I found was that I had to soak a lot of cotton wool with a lot of the micellar to get all my makeup off. It took at least five before they came away clean. I didn't rinse if off the first few times I used it and after a few minutes I got the weirdest sensation on my skin. Not burning or tingling but bubbling. Weird (and I wouldn't describe my skin as sensitive) One time I didn't apply moisturiser straight away and my skin went very red. After that, I rinsed after use and my skin did feel clean and soft. However, this is when I decided micellar was not for me. It just seemed like a lot more time and faff involved than my usual HCC and with not great results. Really, it's no better than the dreaded face wipe (don't get me started on those!)

As this only has a six month shelf life, I don't want to waste it so I use it when I'm away. I've decanted it into a smaller bottle with no spillage disasters. Sadly, it won't remove my latest mascara so I'm back to finding another use for it. A few on the forum say it makes a good brush cleaner so I'm going to give that a go next.

Disappointing but I know many swear by it, it's just not for me.

Tips: What I do find this good for is removing long lasting or very pigmented lipstick. Soak a cotton pad with it and hold to you lips for a few seconds and it's all gone!

It was such a weird sensation on my skin, which is not sensitive. I would be very wary of it with sensitive skin. See if you can somehow try some before you buy it. I'm glad you found the review helpful!

Sound like one of those products that you want to love but just cant. I enjoyed reading this review. I have sensitive skin so I wonder how this would feel on mine.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I thought I would try out Garnier micellar water as there has been lots of hype about it. It comes in a big 400ml bottle, so you’re getting lots of product for how much you pay. I use this micellar water with cotton pads to remove my make-up. It removes all my make-up really well. I usually wash my face after using this product as it leaves my skin feeling sticky. Overall this product is really good and leaves your skin feeling very clean, I would highly recommend.

Magic water

I got told about this and had to go out and buy it to see for myself and im in love! I use it for my eye makeup and all you need to do is put it on a cotton pad and wipe. It does not have a smell so doesn’t sting if I get it on my eyes and it takes of my makeup with ease. Sometimes mascara does struggle with this one but I find that with everything. The packaging is simple and comes in a 400ml bottle which seems big, but it gets used quite quickly. I will definitely purchase again

Tips: Can be used for a light clean of brushes

Believe the hype

Now I had seen a lot of hype around these micellar waters. And honestly - as someone who is a traditional wash and scrub girl I was pretty skeptical. Usually on days I wear makeup (which isn't all that often) I would use a make up wipe or two to remove what I had worn that day/night and then be done with it.

So when I ran out of my trusty wipes and came across this in the supermarket I figured why not.

Now on a note, something that really drew me in was the price point. Usually I pay anywhere between 7-15 dollars for each pack of facial wipes. This bottle cost me $9 and promises 200 uses..who was I to say no to that?!

My method is that I will soak two cotton pads. Use the first one for an all over wipe down and the second to get any grime I missed.

While it doesn't take off any heavy duty mascara it does a pretty good job of getting my face clean. It feels fresh, light and doesn't dry it out too bad. Although I still follow up with a moisturizer.

Greasy Nightmare.

This was one of those products that got ALL the hype, it was talked about everywhere I went. On Social Media everyone was uploading photos of this new creation, it was nearly as crazy as a new Whittaker's Chocolate being bought out. So with all the hype I decided to try it out.

At first I loved it, this product was brilliant. It removed all my makeup without any struggle, it even took of my mascara which was usually a problem with most cleansers.

However, after a couple of weeks my skin started to change, my foundation wouldn't stay on anymore. It got worse, I couldn't blend foundation into my skin, it would just sit on the surface of my skin & wouldn't blend into my pores. My skin became oily, never in my life had I had oily skin. I stopped using the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water immediately as this was the only new product I had started using, 2 months later my skin is still getting back to normal, it's not as oily as it was but I HIGHLY recommend you research this product before you start using it - I guess it depends on the type of skin you have, but for myself with normal to dry skin - it was a nightmare.

lifesaving

wow, I am now cleansing and taking off my make up every night. I like the fragrance, the bottle, the price......everything. I have used the expensive brands of cleansers all my life so was dubious about this but it works.

Tips: I do use more than it says to and keep refreshing my pad until clean.

Amazing

First used it when a friend had it and have bought it ever since. Removes ALL makeup and leaves your skin hydrated and fresh afterwards. Would recommend this to anyone, with any skin type as it worked with my sensitive skin.
