Sticky icky

I picked this up from Countdown in my regular weekly shop . I’m all about Micellar water as it helps assist with my make up removal . I wear a full face to work every day .

Packaging represents the garnier brand well pink and clear bottle . You can see this milky water . Consistency reminds me of blobbly cloudy gel like . Nothing like water . I was expecting it to be more fluid like the micelar water . Not the case her . I put a patch of it on my jawline it felt stingy and sticky . My skin definitely did not like it . My skin was left blotchy with red marks days later I had dry patches . I don’t know why this was happening . I’ve never had problems with my other micellar waters from this brand .

All I can say is this was not suitable for my skin type which is combination skin . Instead I’ve been using it as a brush cleaner which doesn’t seem to bother my skin this way . Even though this happened for me might not happen for others.

Milky water

This micellar water is really think almost like a gel, its defiantly got a milky appearance. I think it removes makeup fine like normal micellar water, but personally i will always follow up with a wet cloth and/or cleanser to make sure my makeup is really gone.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water

This micellar water is quite different to the usual micellar water i have used. It’s a little thicker with an opaque milky appearance. After using it for sometime, i still have trouble dispensing the appropriate amount onto my cotton pad. I always seem to either not get enough out for a good cleanse, or overdo it.

Anyways, due to it’s milky texture, i found it less cooling on the skin in comparison to the normal micellar water, so for a hot summer day cleanse i still prefer the latter. However, due to it’s more milky consistency, it provides the skin with a nice layer of moisture. It felt a little sticky at first, but my skin felt nice soft and hydrated afterwards. Just think of a light milky cleanser that doesn’t need rinsing.

Like make up remover wipes, I like to use it to briefly remove my make up after work when i feel my skin needs a breathe of air. I would use another cleanser later in the evening for a proper cleanse. For a proper clean, i do need to use at least three cotton pads to remove most my make up.

So here it is.. a slightly more hydrating milky micellar cleanser.

However

Garnier Milky Micellar Water

I love this! Two days of using it, and I have found my HG micellar. I thought I liked other ones, but after using this, I realise that they might have cleaned my face, but this stuff cleans AND comforts. Milky in colour and thicker than the ususal 'waters', this product is applied the same way, via wipes or cotton wool. I use this for the second cleanse of my evening double cleanse. It removes my non waterproof mascara easily and with no stinging. There is no tight feeling afterwards, which, tbh, I didn't even realise there was there with the other waters until I used this, and realised it wasn't there. I will be using this until forever!

Tips: If you have sensitive skin, try this magical potion.

Don’t like micellar water

I keep getting these micellar water products in my beauty subscription boxes, this one came from my June Makeup Obsessives box and I got a full size 400ml one. I use these up when I wear eyeshadow or a lot of foundation/powder on my face, but I still use my cream cleanser after and wash with warm water, just don’t double-cleanse, so to me these just take most of my makeup off first before cleansing as usual. I use cotton pads with this, so it’s a bit of a waste as well, to me these micellar water products are all duds really, I don’t know why we have them in the first place or why anyone would just use a cotton pad soaked in this and not rinse the face off with water? The milky texture is nice though and it doesn’t irritate or sting my skin, it is not drying, but I use my other face care products straight after, so not sure how it would be without a moisturiser afterwards. It might be just me, but I prefer a cream cleanser with a washable washcloth.

Must have staple

I've used the Garnier Micellar Cleansing water for sensitive skin (different version) and I used it right to the last drop. The only comment I have for it was that I still needed to use a moisturizer after. I was excited to try the Milky water version because I have read that it is moisturizing, the missing puzzle to the sensitive skin version.

For anyone that hasn't tried the product, or hasn't tried micellar water, it's like water, but with the capability yo remove makeup and dirt while leaving the skin feeling fresh. Very easy to use. There are many ways I'm sure, but the method I use is to dampen a cotton pad with the cleansing water and wipe my face and neck. When I say wipe, it's not in a pulling motion, basically gliding the cotton pad along the face and it will EASILY remove makeup and residue. So amazing. Usually with other products a bit of effort must be put into removing makeup but noooo I love this.

The bottle is an okay size. I say okay, because I like to travel a lot and so I would either be carrying around a big 400ml bottle which is over kill, or I must transfer the contents to a smaller portable size. Easy enough. I did see online there are smaller bottle sizes, around 120ml but not yet for the Milky version.

I used this for one week, every evening after work. One cotton pad. Job done. It hasn't made any impact of the contents of the bottle yet. It should last about 3 months.

I will 100% buy this product. It is now a must have in my bathroom. I have already recommended to my sister and my mother who both have dry skin. Thumbs up.

Tips: Although not necessary, I like to use this with a cotton pad. Makes the process so easy and no product waste.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water

I really enjoyed using this product. It did what it said it would. Was a nice creamy milky texture & didn’t dry out my skin. Gentle. I liked that it’s a decent sized product & being creamy you didn’t need to use a lot & could massage it into your skin & wipe it off. I didn’t get any reactions & my face felt clean. No overwhelmingly strong smell either it was pleasant. Highly recommend.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water

I was so stoaked to hear that Garnier had brought out a micellar water designed for dry or sensitive skin.

I have sensitive skin and I had previously tried the original micellar water and it reacted with my skin. So safe to say I was super excited to try this out.

I used the product as directed and it is such a quick way to cleanse my face and remove my makeup at the end of the day.

The morning after I first had tried this I woke up with a couple of dry red patches on my face. But I have learnt to minimise that by using a super hydrating moisturiser after using the micellar water. I like how its milky and hyrating- not drying like the other formula. 400mls is enough for 200 applications so I feel this would last for a long time.

This product claims that it is suitable to remove makeup including eye makeup. I have learnt that it irritates my eye area and it will sting like heck. I dont use this to remove any makeup from my eye area.

I love how Garnier designed this for dry and sensitive skin. Such a wonderful thing to do for all of use with these skin issues.

Tips: Keep it away from your eye area and use a good moisturiser after application

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water

I have tried a few Micellar cleaning waters and have to say I prefer the milky consistency of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water. I found it to effectively remove my makeup with no irritation to my dry sensitive skin but unfortunately it did cause irritation to my eyes meaning I needed to use a separate eye makeup remover. Personally I like to be able to use one product to do the lot so it won't be at the top of my list for future purchase

It worked

I was a bit nervous about using this products as I have reacted to several Garnier products in the past. However, I didn't have any issues with it reacting. It did what it said it would but I think I do prefer others over this one and maybe that is just due to Garnier products not being so suitable to my skin type as other products.

The Garnier Micellar Cleansing Milky Water did remove all my makeup gently with just a few wipes and left my skin feeling clean.
