I picked this brush up as I wanted something to use that would reach my back, it is a decent size and the bristles aren't scratchy and they lather up really well. the handle has a grip which is great for in-shower use and a string hang tab.
the wooden nodules on the other side act as a cellulite massage, I don't particularly use this side and when I have it's a bit strange.
overally it's a really great brush as the handle is long so great for use on the back.
I have been using this brush for about 2 months and love it. Once spring hit I knew I'd be baring skin soon and I also knew my skin was terrible! Miranda Kerr dry brushes every day (or so I read!) so I set out to give it a try. Not prepared to fork out the $$ on a brush at the body shop I picked up this at the Warehouse for a steal. No instructions on the brush - I didn't really know what to do with it, and I'm sure a million people walk past these at types of brushes in shops and have no idea what they are for. A bit of googling and I was ready to use this.
One side had bristles the other side has nodules for cellulite massage. The bristles are quite firm and coarse but do not leave scratches on my skin even if I brush firmly. The nodules are made of wood on a rubber pad. I don't particularly like this side and I'm not overly convinced it works. The long handle makes it easy to do my back, and I don't have to reach all the way down to do my legs. There is a rippled rubber grip on the handle and a toggle to hang the brush up with which is handy after you have washed it to allow it to dry.
I brush before showering for about 2-3 minutes using the bristle side then a minute on each thigh using the nodule side for cellulite.
I have noticed my skin feels really, really soft and smooth- it hasn't felt this soft in years. Cellulite is still visible but I think it has reduced a bit, I'm not as vigilant using the nodule side as it feels weird but I love the brushing side!
I recommend this brush. It's great if you are new to this as its a decent brush and a decent price. I'm not sure how often you need to replace these things but it's scratching off all your dead skin flakes-eeeewww- and it's made of wood so it would absorb stuff too-even with washing, so at this price you can get a fresh one more regularly than a high end one!
Tips: Use brush strokes towards your heart and make sure you wash the brush regularly.
