Dove Beauty Bar Review

I recently tried this dove beauty bar soap. I brought it on special from the warehouse at a really good price. It smelt really nice and fresh and made my skin smooth, unfortunately a couple of days after using this soap my skin became very itchy which I think was a reaction to the soap so I will not be repurchasing.

Bought these from The Warehouse and got 2 bars for $2 which I thought was amazingly cheap for dove products! First thing I noticed was the beautiful smell! Secondly I love that the soap is a curved shape instead of just a bar like most other soaps. Thirdly I love how soft this soap keeps my skin, unlike other soaps that strip my skin and leave it dry, I find dove actually moisturises my skin and leaves it silky smooth.

I was always a shower gel person as I hate the "squeaky clean" feeling soap gives you after using it. So after this was given to me it sat in my drawer until one day I ran out of shower gel and had no other option and I was in love! My nana loved dove soap years ago and I wished I used it long before now.

I love the shape of the bar it's big and curved so holding it and cleaning is easy peasy. I love the scent of all the dove soaps I've used the original one the Shea butter and more recently the cucumber one which is my favourite and its super cheap at the warehouse $1 a bar

The scent lingers on my skin for a good couple of hours after I have showered (as long as I don't moisturiser of course) it leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh. I do find I have to moisturise after using it just because I do have naturally thirsty skin and I don't think it has added moisturiser. I like how it doesn't strip my skin of moisture like some other soaps can. I have also noticed with this soap how long it lasts definitely a lot longer than a lot of others it also doesn't go all mushy if it sits in the shower. Definitely my favourite supermarket soap

I love this beauty bar (aka soap)...its the best thing for sensitive type skin. Its creamy texture and lovely scent is worth every cent. I use it daily and never had any problems with it...I go through about 1 per week (2 showers a day) so its good value for money.

I'm a gel body wash user but when out of that I always have these bars on hand and I get them when they're on special for 4 packs or more. As they do come in value packs. Also when I run out face wash this is my go to.

The packaging is firm and if in need to travel you can use it for this if you don't have a traveling soap box. It's durable and simple with and elegance of gold and blue.

I love the molding of this soap,making it easy to hold during use. The dove picture,engraving gives it some elegance also a bonus and it lasts on the soap almost all the way to the end of the soap.

The scent is a delicate deliciously fresh scent. It is soft to skin and feels soothing moisturizing.

Lathers up nice and when using on your face it's non irritating especially if you mistakingly get it in your eye.

Definitely different to other bars. The size is also smaller then average soap bars, this doesn't matter as it's long lasting....

This is definitely value for money when purchased in packs and leaves your skin feeling clean, soft and moist.

The bar leaves no residue in the shower either in the soap dish or the shower floor. It dries up after use and simply waits for next use. It doesn't change it's shape until the bitter end.

I'm also teaching my teen boy to use this on his face during shower just to prep for those up coming skin battles that occur in your teens.

Dove love

Being a frequent user of the Dove beauty bar I can say with confidence that I have had nothing but positve results.

I usually buy them in bulk in a pack of 4 or 6 as i find that they work out cheaper. Another reason for this is the fact that once I've finished one bar I can rest assured that I will always be able to grab a new one out of my cupboard Without having to try and remember to put it down on my shopping list for my next visit to the supermarket.

The packaging is a simple yet elegant rectangular box (which is easy to open) -with the usual blue and white colour scheme and the Dove logo printed on the front.

The elegance of the box extends to the actual bar itself. It not your usual bulky looking rectangular bar but rather a white, smooth, oval shape with a bit of a curve, allowing the bar to sit perfectly in the arch of your hand. I find that some bars are so big and bulky. I can never get a proper grip on it especially when its wet And it almost always seem to go flying around in my shower leaving it full of dents from all the falling its had to endure. thanks to the shape and size of the Dove bar I almost never drop it. You might find that other bars seem to loose its shape after about 3 washes but the Dove bar really keeps its shape for quite a while (depending on how rough you are with it...I've seen some Scarry looking bars of soap)

I find that lots of bars seem to get that gooeyness underneath if it's left sitting in your shower holder but I've never experienced this with Dove.

as for the smell -It has a pure, fresh Scent. Not too over powering and not too mild that it's not able to leave you smelling like you want to feel (after a long relaxing shower or bath) - clean and fresh.

It lathers up really well and fast on a shower scrunchie. I find that even though the bar is a wee bit smaller than your usual bar of soap it lasts for quite a long time And you don't have to rub much onto your scrunchie.

For a small bar it really does wonders to my skin. I've tried other soaps in the past, which almost always left my skin feeling tight and dry. Nothing came close to the amount of moisture and softness I've received from the Dove beauty bar. I even use it on my face when im out of face wash its THAT gentle on your skin.

I absolutely LOVE this product and will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable beauty bar.

I am a dove soap lover. This is the soap that I have been using for years. I use it in shower. I love the way it smells and the scent is not overpowering. I always buy them in large quantities. Sometimes, I use it on my face as well and its fine. Bar soap would be the last thing that I would ever put on my face, but my skin feels really clean and smooth after using it. So, I use it if I get any breakouts. It's such an inexpensive and simple thing but it works amazingly good.

So I found a little tiny bar of this in the bathroom and after hearing a Youtuber rave about how good it is for acne, I thought, why not give it a go? Put it in the shower, used my cleanser at normal and then put this on my face, chest and back where I get acne. I've been using it for maybe a week or so and I've already noticed quite amazing results. I definitely still want to use a cleanser, but adding this to my skincare routine has done wonders for my acne. So thrilled about this! Also the tiniest bit goes such a long way.

I use this regularly. Its very moisturising, a little goes a long way (spreads easily with a bath sponge), smells pleasant and doesn't dry out my skin. They usually have the single bars on sale @ the warehouse for a $1 so theirs no real reason why you cant have quality on a budget :)

This is what I use everyday as my body wash. It is really gentle and non-drying. I also use it on my hands (carried one in a soap box in my bag all through high school and in my working life...my hands can't handle standard hand soap. Geek!). In Copenhagen I had really hard water and that would dry my skin out terribly. I threw out my body wash and sought out some Dove bars, which (combined with extra moisturising) really helped improve the condition of my skin again.I love this product.
