I’ve noticed my eyelashes getting quite stubby as I get older but I wasn’t prepared to pay big bucks on a lash serum. I heard good things about this one and it’s super affordable so I decided to give it a go. It was easy to apply as it has a very fine brush for applying along the lash line. Just above the brush, the plastic wand is ridged which means you can also brush it through your lashes.
I did see quite a significant improvement to the length of my lashes after just a few weeks of using this at night. Unfortunately, I also developed eczema on my eyelids at the same time so I had to stop using it. I don’t think it was this serum that caused it though as the eczema continued long after I stopped using this. I plan on giving this another go now that my eczema has calmed down again.
This was a surprise find at a supermarket for a low price and it works. You paint it on your lash line like a liner and also use the applicator to brush on your lashes like a mascara. The serum is clear and you can see how much you have left unlike the L’Oréal version which is also much harder to get out of the tube. This Rimmel version is much more user friendly. You do need to use it morning and night for a month or so to see the results but after you apply mascara, you’ll realise you have longer lashes! As it’s clear you might see some lashes/gunk appearing in your tube as you’re putting the applicator back in after swiping many times so you might replace this after a couple of months, for hygiene reasons.
Tips: Definitely don’t apply to your lashes (only the lash line) you are planning on wearing mascara that day as it does become gluggy and your lashes may stick together a bit.
