So i purchased this from the beauty vault as i already had one in another colour that i love and i was definitely not disappointed in this colour either! The colour is stunning, its quite bold so i do prefer to wear it on a night out with some fake lashes, but i find these eyeshadows are perfect for when you want your makeup to stand out and last a long time. I have a pallet with colours similar to this and i use a matte shadow from that on my eyes then i apply the liquid shadow with the applicator on my lid and top it off with a shimmer in a similar colour to set the liquid shadow. I will likely be purchasing more colours in the future!!

Revlon ColorStay Gleaming Eyes Liquid Shadow - SCARLET
Revlon ColorStay Gleaming Eyes liquid shadow delivers bold shimmer pigmentation in one swipe that applies effortlessly, dries down to a smooth finish and wears all day
The eye shadow comes in a large tube with a dropper-like lid. However, the product is applied with a large wand. I was impressed with the amount of product included. The wand included is quite large which makes it quite difficult to precisely apply the shadow, particularly in the crease area. The colour is stunning and super dark and pigmented; one layer delivers a real deep dark red/brown. This looks quite red in the packaging but it definitely dries down to more of a maroon or purply red colour. This takes quite a while to dry down and the issue with this is it doesn't set on its own, it just creases. I normally expect liquid shadows to be the kind of quick product where you slap it on and it dries down and you don't need to set it with another shadow. Unfortunately, this is not the case, it creases instantly whilst you are waiting for it to dry, before you can even set it! Although this can be remedied by layering another shadow on top, I think that defeats the purpose of a shadow you should be able to wear on its own. As this is a dark colour, the fact that it creases and shifts above the eyelid where you've not placed it if you blink while it dries, is super problematic as it leaves me having to go in with makeup remover to remove all the product that has smeared itself above my eyelid and on my browbone eek! And being a dark red its not the easiest to get off. However, once a powder eyeshadow is applied over this, this does stay put and provides an excellent pigmented base to layer under powder shadows to create a more three dimensional look or give powder shadows more of a colour boost. I found when worn under a powder shadow this lasted well throughout the day and my eyeshadow remained pigmented. However, you can't wear this alone and just set your eyes with setting spray as within minutes this creases and ends up anywhere except your eyes! This is easy enough to remove with make up remover but does leave a bit of staining due to the red pigment. I think this works great as more of a coloured eye primer or base, but it's definitely not worth the money or useable as a shadow on its own. I've found liquid shadows for half the price that set well and work a whole lot better. I'll happily continue to use it as I've been able to make it work as an eye base, but this definitely doesn't live up to its promises as an eyeshadow. The formula is too wet and thick for it to work well in that respect. I've had similar issues with this product in other shades too, so it appears to be an issue across the range, although those products were lighter colours so it was less messy to work with.
Tips: Apply over a matte eyeshadow base to help this stick, and set with a similar coloured powder shadow to keep this in place.
