    Feel good, look good product

I love the packaging of this product, so clean, so uncluttered, and a little bit eco feel.

The taste and texture is a little different to regular commercial, chemical laden toothpastes, and it takes a little getting used to. I find the taste is stronger than most other toothpastes which I love and the price is great too.

The super clean feeling you get is far superior to the regular brands, as well as the feel good factor of knowing what your cleaning your families mouths with is rid of nasty chemicals and unecessary colours.

    Thumbs up from me.

    Fresh and fabulous

I have been a loyal Red Seal Baking Soda toothpaste for nearly 2 years! After many, many years of searching for the perfect toothpaste, I finally stumbled upon this. First of all, the packaging and layout is simple and natural looking. Secondly, the price is good. Not too expensive. Thirdly, the taste is not that 'artificial mint' feel you get from most toothpastes. This is a plain, fresh feeling which might be weird at first, but trust me, you'll gradually start to love it. Finally, the baking soda leaves my teeth feeling clean and refreshed. I have not noticed a particular difference in the whiteness of my teeth but it does do a good job at cleaning.

Toothpaste that does what it says

Out of all the expensive teeth whitening toothpastes that I have tried, never would I have guessed that this toothpaste would actually make a difference by looking at its price. After two weeks of using this I have noticed that a lot of staining has disappeared, I was so stoked! This toothpaste is also not ridden with chemicals but does have a different taste compared to other toothpastes. I wouldn't call it unpleasant but it could be a dealbreaker to some

    Inexpensive and it works

I brought this from my local supermarket as I am trying to move to more natural beauty products. It has a somewhat gritty texture and a not overly strong mint taste. I actually quite like the gritty texture as it makes my mouth feel clean and fresh.

I think it has made my teeth whiter which is a bonus being a heavy coffee drinker.

The only downside is my teeth sensitivity is not as great as when I was using Colgate.

I will continue to purchase this toothpaste.

Tips: Brush morning and night and floss after.

    Red Seal Baking Soda toothpaste

I love this stuff! This is now the only toothpaste that I use. I feel that it totally cleanses my teeth and freshens my breath. You get a slightly grittiness from the baking soda and I love that the most. I highly recommend this toothpaste! Its inexpensive and is one of those feel good products.

Tips: I get mine at Countdown for under $3

Great toothpaste not so great taste

I love this toothpaste, because it is natural It doesn't sting, and it leaves my teeth feeling cleaner for longer than regular toothpaste Its price is that of a normal toothpaste and comes in the same size tube the only thing though is the baking soda taste, its very bitter, and not as enjoyable to use as the plain natural one by red seal. But if the other one is out of stock this is definitely the next one i grab :) Oh and Fluoride free gals ;)

    Clean teeth chemical free

Love this product. Especially due to the ingredients. What's another bonus is my preteen boy likes it too and even made a comment about it. Which I think is really good to have a boy pass a comment on a toothpaste. So The tube has a matte feel to it, which I like different to any other brands. The flip top is also convenient. However 1 thing that could improve is if they made a fast base for the tube sit flush on any vanity. Not a biggie but something the company could try. Red seal is well known health product provider and a credited reputation for doing the job it says it does but also being available for all budgets. The taste is nice not hot but nice with a gritty feel which to me feels good like a teeth exfoliate if there is such a thing or a scrub. Lol. For me this is a sign of its natural ingredients cleaning the teeth thoroughly. Having a ingredient like chlorophyll is so great this has many benefits for cleansing internally so assures me it's safe to swallow and it's going to work. The paste itself has an alternative look to regular paste, I like it. All round this gets my seal of approval.

    Horrible!

I was drawn to this toothpaste because it has no nasty chemicals in it and is natural. Whilst I am no stranger to chemicals in my beauty products, I wanted to try this out after my boyfriends sister hyped it up to me.

The price point is excellent as it is within most people's budgets. The packaging is pretty standard and there is nothing outstanding (good or bad), that I feel I should mention.

However... The taste of this was absolutely abhorrent. In all fairness, I have an extreme aversion to the taste of baking soda due to a childhood incident of eating a teaspoon of it. I'm scarred for life haha. When I was told about this, I asked if it tasted like baking soda and was assured it didn't. Maybe my taste buds are primed to detect this vile tasting ingredient or something, because I could definitely taste it!!! I could taste a slight minty/herby taste but the overwhelming flavour was baking soda UGHHHHH. Based solely on that I absolutely wouldn't ever purchase this again. I tried to force myself to use the tube up but only managed to get 1/3 of the way through it before purchasing another toothpaste.

Disgusting taste aside, this did leave my teeth feeling clean and fresh. I felt like it did the job but didn't do anything above and beyond what it's supposed to do.

If you aren't phobic of baking soda and are looking for a more natural alternative to toothpaste then I giess I recommend giving it a go. It's hard for me to recommend it just because the memories of using this makes me want to gag haha. But like I mentioned above, that is purely because of a traumatic childhood incident regarding baking soda.

Tips: Don't accept dares to eat a teaspoon of baking soda. It will legitimately scar you for life.

    Clean Teeth

I bought this toothpaste more so to get rid of staining on my teeth. It was reasonably priced so I thought why not? I didn't have much to lose so I thought I would try it out.

The package was nice and attractive there wasn't nothing great about it though. The paste itself is standard white but it kinda had a weird consistency. I'm not to sure how to explain it but you could definitely tell the difference between colgate and this even if you didn't know which was which. Maybe it's not as smooth.

The tooth paste itself does a good job. It has visibly whitened my teeth after a handful of uses. However the taste is different. You can taste the minerals in it and to me it almost had a bit of a salty taste. But it wasn't so bad that I couldn't use it. It just wasn't the minty freshness that I've been used to for the paste 20 years! I would buy again but I do only use it once a day usually as my night toothpaste and alternate between that and normal toothpaste. I will definitely repurchase.

    Red Seal Baking Soda Toothpaste

I recently tried out this toothpaste as I had heard lots of hype about it making teeth whiter. I liked this product as it is New Zealand made product, and appears more natural than other tooth pastes. It comes in regular toothpaste tube packaging. The tooth paste did a good job, my teeth felt really clean afterwards, however the taste of this tooth paste was quite unpleasant and tastes a lot like baking soda. After a couple of months of using this tooth paste and putting up with the yuck taste I decided it did not make my teeth any whiter. The toothpaste itself was good for cleaning teeth, but the taste is too off putting for my liking.
