I've enjoyed using this gel, it has a lovely scent and lathers up really quickly and spreads effortlessly.
It has always prevent cuts and rashes that I get if I use no shave gel or if I use some foams.
I have very sensitive skin and have found this to be a great product that doesn't irritate my skin.
This can lasts me a long time as I don't need to use a lot because it lathers and spreads so well
Gilette Satin Care Shave Gel is a great option to keep in the bathroom cupboard, it is called a gel but I find it foams up making it easy to apply and making the product last some time. The Satin Care does provide a slight moisture but I will still apply something additional once out of the shower.
I find most shaving gels in New Zealand all hover around the same price of $10 so if you’re going to pick one I would choose this.
It smells yummy and does the job.
I've tried both the lavender and wild berry scents in this product and the berry one is definitely my favourite, it smells delicious! This noticeably helps to protect my skin from little nicks and my legs were noticeably smoother and softer after using this for the first time.
Shaving with ordinary soap really dries out my skin and I tend to cut myself often! This shaving gel leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and more moisturised. Definitely a favourite!
“Wild Berry” smells a little like a berry smoothie when it comes out the can, once applied to my skin it has more of a floral, lily scent. The Lavender one is also very nice, if you can find it.
I find that my razor is easier to rinse when using the gel and I get a closer shave with less nicks and cuts.
Tips: I prefer to shave at the end of my bath, once the hair has had time to soften. I place a small amount of gel (about 5ml or the size of two peas) in the palm of my hand and then rub my hands together to work up a rich lather before spreading it onto the leg that I’m about to shave.
I've Been using Gilette Shave Gel for as long as I can remember and will continue to as well. It keeps my legs smooth and great on my underarms too, seems to prevent those annoying ingrown hairs too! It also smells great, its reasonably priced too and can be conveniently purchased at my local supermarket or Warehouse. I love that it lasts so long, because I only have to use a little bit and it foams up so quickly and makes quite a lot.
Tips: Only use a little as it goes a long way. There are also a few different types you can buy, Aloe Vera is good too.
I have been using this since I started shaving my legs when I was 12. I love it - it smells great and makes my legs super soft and smooth. I think this also plays a decent part in preventing ingrown hairs and cuts as well, as whenever I have used this, I have had no ingrown hairs and barely ever nick myself, but this always happens with other products or if I just use soap (don't do that, it's horrible).
I bought this at the supermaket because it was on special and it is great! I got the sensitive skin one. It is lightly fragranced and very gentle on my skin. And I haven't cut myself since using this which is great. You only have to use a small amount and it leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth every time. It is as good as any other shave gel I have used before and I would buy again.
Tips: Be careful how hard you push the pump as the product comes out quickly. I always moisturise after shaving to keep my skin soft.
What a great product! This shaving Gel really works :-) Smells great, looks great - love the shiny can and it's easy to use. The gel is dispensed really easily and foams up quickly. Only need to use a little product which means it lasts for ages. Reasonably priced and leaves the shaved areas feeling nice and smooth.
Fantastic product! The smell, where to begin... heavenly, magical, sweet.... can I eat it?? And it feels devine on my skin - I almost have to hesitate in shaving it off! Never ever have I cut myself shaving since using this product (matched with a good razor). You only need the smallest amount though as it spreads and foams up to a huge amount which is fantastic - the product lasts ages. Myself personally shaving my legs at lease twice a week (more in summer) it lasts 3 months+. I'll never stray to any other brand. I love Gilette & I think the title/name of this product is perfect 'Satin Care' - Brilliant!
Tips: Start with a very small amount of the product (you can't put it back into the can!) and lather it onto your legs - you can always add more if need be :) xx
I use this religiously as my shave gel. I find it's very forgiving on dry sensitive skin like I have and it makes it so easy to glide the shaver over legs and minimize cuts which I am good at doing when I am in a rush! My legs are left feeling smooth and moisturized. I love the smell of it and how it foams up easily with effortless rubbing over the leg. I don't use much which makes it last longer which is good for value of money. I used to be a shower shaver but since discovering Gilette Satin Care Gel I just do it before hand which saves water usage and that's super important to me living on tank water supply.
Tips: Don't use too much you end up with wastage and having to rinse your shaver more often than needed from the foam build up
