Original Source Shower Gel

I got this product because I fell for the cute captions and names. This product smells great and makes my skin feel fresh and soft. I find I need to use more than I would with other shower gels to get the same effect but still worth it because it feels better.

These shower gels are great. I have tried a number of different scents and really enjoy them all. Highly scented, I cant stop myself constantly sniffing the smell as I use it in the shower.

Sturdy packaging and the flip lid is on the bottom which enables you to use all the product before throwing the bottle away which is great.

Lathers well, you don't need much but I do find having a squeeze bottle I tend to use more than needed so go through it quicker then a wash with a measured pump.

Left my skin pretty neutral - didnt feel greasy or dry. I wish the fragrance would longer longer though.

I picked this up from my local countdown for a low price of around $4 and I thought what a bargain. This shower gel is just as good as the expensive shower gels. It lathers really well which makes it easy to spread all over your body. I use a loofah so my soap really bubbled up.

I have the raspberry and vanilla version. One thing that I don't like about this shower gel is the smell. Being made out of natural ingredients I thought it would smell very fresh and vibrant. to me this smelt very sweat and had more of a strawberry scent that's raspberry. Combined with the vanilla scent it smelt more like a strawberry milkshake. Although the smell was there and it wasn't unpleasant I thought it smelt a bit fake. And by that I mean it didn't smell like real fruit it smelt more like fake essence.

This shower gel has a shiny metallic look which has a creamy sort of texture. The bottle has a unique look that is in the shape of an upside down triangular prism with a flat bottom. It has a lid that flicks up easily making it easy to squeeze product out.

Overall, the soap itself is good but I don't like the smell. This is why I wouldn't purchase it again, simply because I like to use yummy smelling shower products. I would however consider buying a different scent.

I'm not one who likes to use shower gels, call me old fashioned but I love solid soaps (anyone remember the Cleopatra soaps they used to sell in the supermarkets?? Big sighhhhh).

I saw the Original Source section in the supermarket and thought nothing of it until I saw the one for "40 Real Zingy Limes". I absolutely love the smell of limes in my drinks, food and cleaning products so I couldn't pass it up especially with that price of $2 (on special). I thought it was too good to be true for such a low price and alas that was exactly the case.

I think the packaging is suitable for this type of product; not too fancy and quite sturdy incase you drop it in the shower. The name of the product is absolutely fitting - it has the most refreshing burst of zesty limes. I spent A LOT of time just smelling the product and dreaming of how good it would taste if it was edible (yes slight wee problem there).

I couldn't wait to try it out in the shower and oh the horror. It's almost useless. I'm not sure whether it's just this lime body wash but I was lucky if I could get a decent lather; I just watched the water take it down the drain. I didn't feel like it cleaned my body (or did a good job of it) and there was absolutely no difference on how my skin felt after a couple of attempts.

Lets go back to the refreshing scent of limes - ahhhhhh - no. The name is fitting but what they don't tell you is that once you work (or try to work) the product into your body; the smell is gone. Not a single darn trace of citrus! How can that even be?! Smells fantastic in the bottle and in your hand but once applied it's non-existent!? So frustrating! Needless to say I walk straight pass the Original Source section now.

I tried Original Source Shower Gel after finding it on special for $.249, and reading a lot of positives about it on BR. I actually had more than enough shower gel at the time, but was in one of those moods.

I have this product in Vanilla and Raspberry; two of my favourite scents combined :)

These shower gels come in sturdy plastic bottles. They are of a good size - not so big that you get sick of the scent before you're done, but big enough for a day to day shower staple that lasts a good few weeks.

The bottle has a kind of industrial look to it, which is at odds with the baby pink gel inside, but still seems to work somehow.

The soft pink creamy gel is on the thinner side, and you need a good handful to get your whole body clean, but it's so cheap that this doesn't worry me. The scent of this one is very sweet, but I do get both vanilla and raspberry from it - to me it smells like a berry smoothie or berry icecream. It's sweet and girly, but stops short of being overpowering as the scent doesn't really cling to skin.

My skin is left neutral after this - it's not hydrating or drying, merely a creamy cleanser.

I would definitely buy another of these if I was in need of shower gel at the supermarket, but it's not one I'll rave over :)

I have been using this shower gel for as long as I can remember. I first discovered in when living in London and was disappointed when I returned home and it wasn't for sale here so of course I was super happy when it finally came on sale here. I have used a few of the different types available, The mint one is very energizing. Lavender, well I love the fragrance of lavender and if you do as well it will not disappoint. Vanilla and Raspberry smells like you could eat it. The one that I am currently using is the Lime one which I find to be very refreshing. All of these shower gels have amazing smells and I find make my skin feel really clean without over drying. I really love the packaging and how it says how many of each feature ingredient is in the product for example "40 real zingy limes", it makes the packaging fun to look at and read. Big bonus for me is the price, at $4.39 RRP you can't go wrong and it also seems to be on sale quite often...Bonus!

While this bodywash smelt absolutely amazing, the amount you have to use per shower means that you go through it excessively fast, which made it a bummer in my books.

I would buy it again, but I'd probably keep it for special occasions, to give a bit of a boost, rather then everyday use.

One of my fave shower gels ever! It smells sweet but not sickly and the smell actually lingers on your skin which most shower gels don't really do. It's super affordable and makes your skin lovely and soft. Love love love <3

I love the lime shower gel. It smells super nice, but I do have to agree with others that the smell doesn't really linger. In saying that, I've found that the scent of the Raspberry & Vanilla one lingers longer.

I would definitely recommend trying these. For the price, they're worth it!

Smells good, feels good, natural ingredients and a great price. All things I can not resist! The bottle is convenient to get the last drop out. These are just yummy and I go through them so quickly! I seriously recommend you give these a try!
