My first impression was that the packaging was nice and sleek, and very full. I really liked that when I undid the seal, there was no smell that came flying out of the container. I tested the product on my hand and it felt very smoothing. It is much like most night creams, nice and thick.
When I first put the product on my face it reminded me of putting on a primer, it was very smoothing. It also didn't feel greasy like some night creams can. The first couple of times I tried the product I noticed my skin felt soft in the morning, but nothing too out of the ordinary. It was after a couple of weeks that I noticed how bright/fresh my skin was looking without make up. My cheeks felt quite plump, and make make up looked very smooth on my skin. I also really liked that I woke up and could touch my face and it felt like skin, rather than oily. For such a moisturizing product, it was really light on the skin.
I started to use it closer to my eye area when I realised there was no scent. I still have a dedicated eye cream that I prefer, but I found it felt very nice around my eyebrows and temples.
Given the retinol content it is a product you have to build up your tolerance to before it becomes your every day holy grail, but I will definitely keep using this in the future.
The first thing to note is that this is a retinol cream - that means your skin will be more susceptible to sun damage (so ALWAYS wear sunscreen when using this cream) and can become irritated if you use retinol too frequently.
This cream has a very luxurious smooth feel that soaks into the skin nicely, and a very little scent which I appreciate. I have already been using retinol for ~6 months so I used this cream once every 2 evenings (you have to slowly introduce your skin to retinol or you will risk irritation). My skin is very sensitive, but surprisingly suffered no irritation with this cream which is a huge plus! However to be honest I haven't seen much obvious improvement in my skin beyond being extra moisturised. This could be because I was already using retinol, or maybe I need to use it more frequently. Either way, this is a very nice night cream that requires a bit of schedule experimentation, and is worth a try.
Tips: Only apply at night and USE SUNSCREEN during the day!
