Easy Peasy!

I love this product, I am super lazy with after shower lotions and this is a quick way to get the moisture your skin needs without the hassle of rubbing in cream after a shower. Especially in Winter!

Tips: It may leave the shower slippery so warn the next person.

Smooth skin but not for people with sensitive skin

I had never heard about this or even knew a shower conditioner existed until I won this a few months back, I do get dry skin especially on my legs and I was so thrilled to give this a go.

The first few attempts were tricky as it does get slippery and messy, words of advice, don't apply this to your feet in the shower as you will fall over and hurt yourself. What worked for me was turning the shower off, applying it to my body and then turning the shower back on and rinsing off. I love to use this after ive shaved my legs, it makes them feel amazing! It leaves a light Nivea signature scent on your skin and it keeps it smooth for hours. I wouldn't recommend it to people with sensitive skin, my daughter tried this and it left her with a nasty rash all over her body.

Nivea In Shower Body Skin Conditioner for Dry Skin

I personally love this product, my skin is normally very dry and I usually have to apply moisturiser a few times a day for my skin to feel nourished, especially my legs. With this product, my skin felt smooth and soft right from the first time using it. It has a light scent which was nice, but it wasn't too feminine so males could easily use it as well. It washed off well and kept my skin moisturised and feeling soft all day. You just need to be careful not to use to much product at once. Would definitely buy this product again, and recommend it to others.

Tips: Be careful with how much product you use, as it can make the floor of the shower quite slippery.

NIVEA in shower body skin conditioner

I had been wanting to try out this moisturising method for a while and was really stoked when I managed to score one from the latest beauty vault. I didn't realise that I got this in for very dry skin as I have normal skin. I decided that I wanted to try this moisturising method due to be super lazy in winter when it comes to looking after skin as after having a shower in winter time I would hope straight in bed. I have found that this method is super easy and doesn't take a huge amount of time to do. This has also benefited the smoothness of my skin and makes it look healthy. I find that this tube will last me a decent amount of time and I haven't even made a real dent in it yet. I will definitely repurchase this as it is my new favourite moisturising method.

Moisturize? yep but for very dry skin? Not so much

Both I and my hubby have very dry skins, especially in the lower body. So I’m very picky about buying proper body lotions. The thing about lotions/ creams for extra dry skin is, they are usually thick and takes longer to absorb. So when I saw the advert on TV for this product, I was so excited to try it and lucky me, I managed to grab this from Sylvia park warehouse for a buy one get one free offer. And one went to my shower and the other to my hubby’s shower.

True to its name, Nivea in-shower body lotion has a consistency of a lotion; and a generous palm-ful is enough for my entire body. They don’t specifically say how long it should be left on the skin to be properly absorbed but I usually leave it on my skin as I apply the hair conditioner. So it sits on my skin for about 4-5 minutes before I wash it off and that’s plenty of time for it to be absorbed.

The smell of this is similar to the original “Nivea Creme” which brings up happy memories about my younger days and good smelling mum’s. :) Too bad it doesn't last long.

Bottle is a decent size which is easy to grip onto and open. I think this will last you for about 1-2 months; depends on how much and how often you use it, obviously. For me, I think it’ll last for about couple of months but my hubby’s bottle is already at its life’s end within the first month of use. :)

The first time I used this, it felt really peculiar to touch my skin and it’s a hard to describe feeling. Skin felt both slippery and sticky at the same time if that makes any sense, and it wasn't very pleasant. I felt as if I’m not clean enough. Have you ever used any oil bath bombs that contained too much oil thus you had to wash some off after the bath? Well this was somewhat like that. But thank god, after I pat my skin dry that icky feeling went away. It has been about a month since I added applying this cream to my daily routine and the slippery feeling doesn't bother me anymore. Oh and if you’re wondering if you get your skin wet, would the sticky/slippery feeling come back; ever the experimental me, I waited for 30 minutes or so, and stuck my arm under a faucet and was relieved to find it wasn't sticky or slippery anymore.

All things considered I’d say this is definitely worth the price. Regular price of this 400ml bottle is about NZ$9-10 which is not a high price on itself. But if you manage to buy it during an offer like I did, it’ll be a great bargain.

Tips: Folks if you have bath/ shower (means already slippery floor); be careful when you use this product. Don’t get it on the floor too much, or you will be face planting on the tub floor like I nearly did. They even warn about it in the label, which I conveniently noticed after I slipped.

And this is not like one of those moisturizing shower creams, which both cleans and moisturize at the same time. This is just a moisturizer that should be washed off, means you should use this after you use your body wash or shower gel or whatever product you use to wash yourself with. It’s kind of like the difference between hair conditioner and hair leave-on conditioner. Here, the Nivea moisturizer works as a hair conditioner where as regular body creams works like leave on conditioner.

Given that I haven’t used any ‘in-shower body lotions’ from other brands, I have no idea how this works compared to others, but this product is way better than any moisturizing shower creams I've ever used. Still, this can’t beat a regular body lotion made for extra dry skin in the moisturizing department but this sure absorbs faster.

worth a try

I recently tried the Nivea in shower body skin conditioner. It took a bit of getting use to using it but once i got into the habit it was good. I was always moisturising when i got out of the shower so this seemed like a good idea especially in winter when you just want to get out & then dressed. It certainly felt lovely & silky when on my skin & rinsed off well. It did make bottom of shower quite slippery but it does state this on the bottle.I dont think it kept my skin as soft as applying after a shower so this is why i have gone back to my usual after shower moisturising. I would still use it again. The bottle was easy to use in the shower & the fragrance was soft..

Tips: rinse bottom of shower as can be slippery

I love this moisturizer!

this product is so handy and it works! I'm not really one for using moisturizer but the fact that I can use it in he shower saves so much time and energy for me and fits in nicely with my shower routine. I noticed a huge improvement, my legs are normally quite dry and this product made such a differencease I now use it regularly.

Best product ever

I've never been one to stick to a moisturising routine. But with product like this it's perfect for me. Simple and easy to use, I use this product every day without fail. My skin has never felt better or smoother. Is even better then I was expecting.

Does what is says but do you really need it?

I liked this product is defintiely imporved the mositurisation levels however I do feel that it is just one too many shower products, after face wash, body wash, shampoo, conditioner, shaving, exfoliant etc. I just feel there is already too much going on in the shower to add another step is a bit too time consuming for me.

Tips: Is good in winter when legs tend to get dry and it is too cold in the morning to put moisturiser on your legs, or if you don't want to put moisturier on before you put your stockings on.
