Neutrogena Beach Defence Lotion SPF 50

The first thing I noticed about this was the pleasant smell. While not being overpowering it didn't smell all "Sunblocky" like others I have used in the past. It rubs in really easily and leaves the skin nice and soft (almost like a body lotion). I work outdoors in a physical job so can get a good sweat up on a hot day (sorry if this is TMI hehe) and find I can do a full 4 to 5 hours without having to reapply. I would recommend this to anyone

I really like this but wouldn't use it on my face as it made it horrible and greasy. Lasts well and doesn't come off or get slimy if you've been in the water, smells OK - not too chemically - and kept me well protected so will be buying more

I have really fair skin so i need good protection from the sun. This sunscreen is perfect, lasted a long time, pleasant scent and dried after i put it on rather than staying sticky like other sunscreen products. Was a little bit to heavy to use on my face however. I will be repurchasing this once this bottle runs out.

This sunscreen has a lovely scent which isn't overpowering. It is easy to get out of the tube and apply. It goes on smoothly and rubs in well. I found that it was waterproof and lasted for at least 3 hours. Have already bought more and have recommended.

Neutrogena's new Beach defence sunscreen lotion is definitely a winner in my eyes! What I love about it compared to the other Neutrogena formulas is that it's easy to apply and not as dense/ sticky as the ultra sheer formula. It goes on smoothly and gives you time to rub it in evenly so you are not left with patches of sunscreen on your body. I can even use this sunscreen on my face as I have dry- normal skin. I didn't break out at all and I used it every day for 10 days straight while I was in Hawaii!

Will definitely be buying more this summer!

really like this one, love the smell also, it absorbs into the skin perfectly and quick, its not thick and oily like other sunscreens. i put it on before i went out thismorning at 10:30 came home after 1pm and i dont seem to be sunburnt..awesome..i will be buying this product again.

This sun lotion had a very pleasant fragrance which was as light as the application, I tend to use sunscreens that are natural and zinc based, so this was why I did not mark this as 5 out of 5 for would I use it again. The cream sank in immediately and my skin felt moisturised, not at all oily. I did not use the cream at the beach, but I would imagine it would work very well as it is not sticky like others I have used. I cannot confirm how well it works in the water. Overall, it felt like a beauty product as it was so moisturising and I smelt nice after application, the fact it offers 50= sun protection whilst being so light is impressive.

I have been using this product for a few days, in the blistering heat of Gisborne and I must say, I love the smell of the product (doesn't have the yuck sunscreen smell) and it absorbs really well leaving your skin feeling fresh! When using this product when I went to the beach it was great, I spent 4 hours at the beach with this product and didn't burn! I would recommend this to all the beach bunnys out there!

I am never leaving the house without it on!. First thing I check is the smell. It's the nice (generic) neautrogena smell, I can't explain.It's not too strong. When I put it on though... wow. So it's actually not greasy!!! I know so many products that say this and lie, This felt like a very sheer body lotion, it quickly absorbed and I felt I should more on. I put it on when I went to the pool ( I love swimming but chlorine does dryout skin) and this product again was a god send. My legs usually get terribly dry and itchy. Not with this, I put a little more on after I got out as a top up and away I went. This product is an essential I will use everyday!!!
