Nars Creamy Concealer

I absolutely love this concealer! A little certainly goes along way with just a few wee dabs under the eyes, or across the tops of my cheeks where I'm prone to redness. On some days it's simply enough for me to strategically dab some concealer on top of my day cream, around those imperfections, and I'm good to go. Or, when going out in the evening, using this concealer means the need for less foundation coverage, and it gets rid of my tired eyes. Definitely the best concealer I've used.

I've been meaning to get this much acclaimed product and I'm very glad once I did purchase it. I picked it up in Mecca cosmetica. The shade I matched is custard. Which is a very common shade. The shade range is very generous and upon swatching this was the best suited to my needs. I highlight and conceal under my eyes fro brightness and my tzone to also add dimension and conceal. The consistency is a thick but workable fluid/liquid. It is quite opaque and can cover any discolouration, without having to colour correct. It is very creamy, I did wonder if this would cause any issues with drying out. As liquid to cream can be a bit hard on dry or sensitive areas such as the under eye contour. What I found with the concealer is that yes it covered what I needed it to cover and yes the creamy liquid did dry down but it didn't cause any issues to my undereyes or did it bring any unwanted self awareness about the dry or cause any creasing to the same area. However when I did try to bake it would have some creasing but I put that down to age and hydration and it is possible that this wouldn't affect everyone. It's just what I experienced. This doesn't effect or cause foundation to slip/move and only enhances and aides to the beauty routine. The applicator is easy to use and having a decent size doe foot for applications. The longevity is a good 8hours without any issues. I really enjoy using this concealer and for the price I would repurchase I'd also recommend without hesitation.

Now let me start by saying, yes this is pricey for a concealer and there is apparently a maybelline dupe for this (The fit me concealer) BUT I have tried both and this one is just so much better. It does not crease, it is much more full coverage than the Fit me one, it lasts longer on the skin, it is so creamy and is not drying. This is the best concealer I have tried so far.

This is my favourite concealer. I, of course, still try loads of other concealers, just to try and them, but I always always always end up back to this one. It is so creamy and the color just melts into the skin and I can actually wear it alone to cover imperfections, unlike a lot of other concealers where I feel I need to apply foundation to make it not look obvious. It comes in a container much like lip glosses. The wand is great and I really appreciate how little it takes to cover, and spreads really well. Never causes breakouts or feathers away on me mid day. It’s seriously the best!

Another item I purchased because of the hype surrounding it. I honestly didn't like it on my skin, I found it didn't blend out evenly and I was left with clumps of pigment under my eyes and zero coverage. I do have quite dry skin and use heavy oils and moisturizers so that could be the problem but I heard it worked for dry skin so that's why I thought it would work for me. I definitely won't be be purchasing when I finish the tube.

I bought a travel sized version from Mecca in Custard to see what all the hype was about and I just didn't get it. It settled a tiny amount into my lines, but went on smoothly. It just wasn't the coverage I was looking for. Its also the same price as Mac pro longer concealer for about 2/3 the quantity. It seems like a great product, just not for me!

On the plus side, the travel size was great for travel.

I have the mini size of this concealer and find it really handy for travelling or in the handbag. It has a doe foot applicator, and has pretty good coverage. I was recommended this concealer for both undereye and spot concealing. Because it's quite thick, it was a little tricky to blend it well under the eyes but if your eyes are less sensitive it could be worth considering for you. The colour I was matched to was a little bit light, but the next colour up was a bit too dark.

I use this concealer for brightening my under-eyes when I have heavy makeup for a night out. Unfortunately the shade I picked is a little to light for me (Light 1 Chantilly), I am able to make it work. My under-eyes have natural creases in them, so I wouldnt be surprised if this concealer creased on me. (It does). Its fine, Im used to it as no other concealer I have tried has not creased. I find that if I use a small amount, it will crease less. Using a small amount is fine as the concealer itself is sooo high coverage. Sometimes I use Benefit Boi-ing brightening concealer underneath the Nars concealer and just use Nars on the darkest spots. This really makes my under-eyes bright and healthy looking. I would recommend this to my friends as it is really good. It doesn't move throughout the day, especially if you set it. It has a nice thing, creamy consistency and there are quite a few shades that will work with most people.
