Standard

Fairly cheap wipes but I’d still rather make a mountain of cotton buds to be honest. I struggled to get just one wipe at a time out as they were sticking together, and I didn’t like the way they smelled? They did not budge the glitter polish I was wearing, no matter how hard I rubbed, but they worked alright on normal polish. I also didn’t really like that they left your skin feeling kind of oily afterwards.

This stuff works well but it killed my nails

Was recommended to use these by an acquaintance and found them to be very effective. I folded them in half and wrapped them around my fingertip for about 5 mins, and by that time almost all the nailpolish rubbed off very easily. I didn't care much about the grease or the smell, just washed my hands afterwards. I thought, like others, I'll not be needing nail polish remover in a bottle again. After using a few times I found that my nails started to be really brittle. Thought I could fix that by trimming them short but they just broke. Even tried a different brand of pads and the same thing happened. I never had awesome nails, they are ridgey and somewhat breakable, but this stuff made them twice as bad. It doesn't really live up to the promise of being non-messy. Your hands get covered in the grease and the wipes are quite wet so you need a plate or nearby bin to put the rubbish into straight away. A tidy person might do one hand at a time, but bear in mind that you'll need a glove for your clean hand or the polish on it will get sticky while you're cleaning the first hand.

I think I'll keep the pack I've got for a rainy day, it might be OK to use once in a while, but not a regular event for me. At least it doesn't stink the house out like regular nail polish remover :o)

strawberry scented favourite!!

I got this at postie for $3, they had lemon and strawberry.

I got the strawberry one, there is 32 disc shaped pads and they come in a small rounded container.

if you have thick topcoat on you may need to use a few to remove but I expected this. I used about 3 to remove all of my polish.

the pads don't tear and they are very durable which is great!

they are super easy to use, you just wipe the tips of your nails and the polish comes off. what I liked it that it didn't dry out my hands or nails.

Tips: the greasy finish is cuticle oil to rub into your cuticles!!

Do the Job

I picked these up on impulse, $3 at Postie- why not.

The pads are quite small, very thin, and scented as they should be. The container twists up air-tight, so there's no chance of them drying out.

I find that it takes about 4 pads to remove polish from all 10 finger nails. They work well, they're gentle, but leave a slightly sticky residue behind which rinses off, no problem.

I'll most likely purchase these again, they're handy to have, they do the job, and they're inexpensive.

OK, but not my favourite

firstly the good things: These come in a very convenient pack, which you can pop into a bag and not have to worry about spillage. They dont smell bad - more like lemon dish washing liquid. They are gentle on your nails. I find them great for when I want to remove Jamberry nail wraps. I don't like that they leave my fingers sticky, and they are not as powerful as regular nail polish remover either.

Tips: for more stubborn polish, hold the pad on the nail for a few seconds before rubbing off.

Nail polish remover pads

I was given these as a gift and doubt I will go back to my old nail polish remover ever again :) I find them really handy, nice smell to them, not that toxic, got to hold your breath until you are done smell. I can get about four nails removed per pad, probably an entire hand it I feel like stretching it out. Great value for money. The only thing I don't like is the greasy coating that gets left all over your hands from the pads. Simple enough to was off though

Tips: Hold the pad on the nail for a few seconds to soften the polish and it should just wipe off (depending on the brand of nail polish)

LA Colors Nail Polish Remover Pads

I brought this at The Warehouse on special for $3.

The packaging is a thin round white pottle with a screw on lid. I have the lemon scented ones which are very faintly scented. Inside is thirty two wet pads.

To use you simply pull a pad out and wipe over your nails until all your polish has been removed. Wala all done!

I found these to work great, genereally I could get away with only using one pad for both hands (depending on the brand of polish I was wearing at the time) and sometimes I would need to use a couple more pads (espically with glitter polish).

My hands were very greasy looking afterwards as these pads have a lot of liquid in them (they are very wet) so definatley wash your hands afterwards.

I would recommend these and have repurchased them many times as they are easy and convienient to use.

Tips: These are great for using to tidy up your outer nail area after applying polish.

This is a really cool idea.

I don't like to paint my nails often as I invariably spill the nail polish remover when I go to clean my nails. As I don't like the pungent fumes of most nail polish removers I gave up on pretty nails for a few years. Until my sister gave me some of these! The fragrance is more subtle and easy to deal with, less chemically, then most other removers! But best of all is the way that the pads are much harder for me to spill everywhere! It's such a little thing, but it makes a huge difference.

Repurchase

Picked this up a while ago from The Warehouse I think? for a few dollars! I found that these pads removed all nail polish very quickly. Did leave a slight greasy / oily feel on my nails but was easily washed off. I liked that it didn't have a very harsh chemical like scent that most nail polish removers have. Great for the price, would repurchase!

Smell nice.....

Sorry I do not think these deserve the high rating from the first scorer. Yes they smell nice they seem gentle and as if they will not dry out your nails but the pads are very thin you think you have pulled out one and you have actually pulled out three or four I tried to remove my nail varnish it was OPI glitter polish and yes glitter is hard to remove in polishes so I held the pad on the finger for a few seconds and still no good. You need to really scrub to remove the polish it may work better on cheaper polish but it was really rubbish at doing the job on mine. Handy travel container for on the go but I have used better remover from the two dollar or asian stores.
