Obsessed

Before purchasing mac for the first time I thought it would be another over rated product that costs more than it's worth but I was so wrong. I got creme d nude and almost finished the tube in less than two months. It smells delicious and the finish is beautiful. It's the most beautiful nude shade I have ever come across. I will definitely be buying more!

First MAC purchase

I recently purchased my first MAC lipstick and I can honestly say it was the best $40 I have ever spent. I chose the shade 'Angel' just because I wanted something neutral and easy to wear for work since I work in a professional environment that wouldn't approve of something as bright as 'Candy Yum Yum'. I love the pigmentation and how easily the slide on and of course how long wearing they are. The vanilla smell of the lipstick also makes it even better. I've tried way to many lipsticks in the past that smell gross and you don't want to be putting something like that on your lips!

Tips: Keep your lips in tip-top shape by regularly applying a good lip balm and using the occasional lip scrub to get rid of any flaky bits so your lipstick looks perfect everytime

Brighten up your pout with MAC!

Since the age of 14 I have been obsessed with MAC, this Canadian company surely has set in stone a strong vision and target market for their brand. But lets be honest who doesn't love a little MAC in their lives!

From celebrities gracing the covers of the latest mags for the Viva Glam campaign to the enticement of limited edition collections popping up every few months,it's only to easy to see why MAC have the cult like following that they do.

So what sets MAC apart from everyone else? - More like what doesn't!

Having had the honour to work on counter for MAC myself, it's too easy to see why it sells. In particular the most known products that stand pretty and tall within the vast range would of course have be the lippys!

With that amazing vanilla scent, creamy silky texture and lets not forget that oh so trendy colour selection, for the price tag of $40NZD or $15USD you can see why these fly off the shelves.

So with the names of Lady Danger, Morange, Vegas Volt, Chatterbox ,Angel, Russian Red, Ruby Woo, Pink Nouveau, St Germaine plus many others rolling off the tips of makeup loving tongues everywhere I highly recommend getting some of these to try yourself. You can guarantee there will be no disappointment in sight!

But remember to pick your shade and finish to suit your lifestyle, it can be overwhelming standing in front of that bright eye catching stand but keep in mind what result you are wanting it to have when your wearing it out and about.

I personally love Cremesheens, Amplifieds and Matte finishes due to wanting something that will stay bold with the amazing colour pay off and bright on my pout without having to touch up every two seconds.

No matter what colour, finish or packaging you choose to go for when making your MAC lip candy purchase, it's rewarding to know that there is only going to be the lowest chance that you will ever regret buying any MAC product.

So go on be bright, be bold , be daring and spice up your pout!

Stacey xx

Tips: - Pair MAC Prep + Prime lip with any MAC lipstick to ensure hydrated lips that hold colour all day.

- Lining your lips with a slightly deeper or lighter lip liner, makes for an easy way to change up the way you wear your fave lippys!

- Apply with a lip brush to ensure a precise, sharp application.

- If MAC is a little to out of your price range opt for dupes! Wet n Wild make some amazing dupes for our fave MAC shades!

- Stay true to the brand, MAC products are being seen replicated alot lately, so safeguard yourself and buy from MAC authorised stores and their official website only.

Love!

Mac lipsticks, especially their matte ones as they are the only formula I have so far , are AMAZING! they are so long-lasting and the colour range is to die for. Completely worth the investment and super pigmented!

MAC Lipstick

I only recently gave in and bought my first MAC lipstick and so super happy that I did! They have such an amazing range of colours - I'm hooked. Go on really easily and last forever. I have Girl About Town and it really stains your lips, so the only thing is I find I need to give my lips a really good scrub the next day to get it all off!

Love mac lipsticks!

I adore mac lipsticks! They have such an awesome range of colours and finishes so there's one for every person as occasion! Can't wait to add more to my collection

Tips: The matte formulas can be drying so using lip balm before hand is super important. Lip liners are also great for some of the darker shades!

Diva and please me.

I love MAC lipstick. They have an amazing range of colours with super creative names!! I have Diva and Please me, I absolutely love these colours! Please me is my go to colour on those hot summer days and I reach for Diva for cold winter days. I love how they apply easily and smoothly and the colour lasts all day! They are very high quality and I prefer them over other lipstick brands as MAC lipstick works for me every time! You are never disappointed with MAC lipstick. I have Please me in matte and Diva in frost. Although I found that matte finish dry's out your lips a bit but its worth it as the matte finish makes the bright colour really stand out!

Shanghai spice and Snob

These are the names of the two mac lipsticks i use the most. Shanghai spice is a nice natural looking copper/coral where as Snob is a solid candy pink.

Tips: Before applying the lipstick, use a lip scrub to get off any dead skin which will make your lipstick go on more evenly, and use a clear lip balm underneath it too.

mac - still the lipstick winners

Amazing wear, amazing look. Some colours were slightly off what I thought, but still look good. I love the lustre, matte and frost finishes. Brilliant to keep in handbags and clutches.

Tips: If money is an issue, choose wisely, as MAC is high end and pricey.

Rebel and Media

I own two MAC lipsticks, Rebel and Media. Rebel is one of their more popular darker colours. I know plenty of girls of all different skin colours who own and rock this lipstick! It's such a universal berry, plum colour- perfect for those Autumn and Winter days. Media is a dark brown/red with a hint of plum- it's a bit more vampy than rebel and I find myself reaching for it when I go out at night. Both of these lipsticks are satin finishes which I personally love as they don't look glossy or matte- they're the perfect in-between finish that is suitable for day and night. The other thing I love about MAC lipsticks is that they are extremely pigmented and long lasting! My lips have quite a dark pigmentation so lipsticks are often a hit/miss thing with me. With other lipsticks I've found they look amazing in the tube but on my lips they only offer a hint of colour but one swipe of Rebel or Media and the coverage and opacity is perfect! Even after eating the colour is still very vivid and it doesn't need much of a touch up at all. Overall I am very impressed with my MAC lipsticks and they were well worth the money.

Tips: Use a lipliner in a similar colour so your lipstick doesn't feather!
