La Roche-Posay® Toleriane Duo Reviews

I love both of these products! My skin is very dry and sensitive and I'm often nervous to try new products but these products were great. They didn't sting when applied and made my skin feel soft and hydrated all day and the dry patches I had, had gone within two days. I will buy these products in the future.

I had never tried any La Roche-Posay products before but had heard a lot about how good they were on BR. When I saw the invite for this trial I was over the moon and couldn't wait to try them out. Made in France oh la la!

First the eye cream. The instructions are actually on the inside of the box, very simple to use and feels so refreshing on your eyes. It is a lovely light formula which doesn't leave any greasy feeling.

It doesn't cause any irritation or redness and makes my eye area look plump and healthy. I love the packaging, it holds 20ml of product, you simply turn the lid which opens and closes it, great for travel as it shuts securely. I like the pump, very hygienic and easy to get the perfect amonut out. A little definitely goes a long way. It has no nasty ingredients which is amazing and exactly what you want when applying around your eyes. No noticable scent.

I have quite dry and sensitive skin so this product is perfect for me, I have been using both morning and night. I can't comment yet whether it helps reduces fine lines as it is too early to tell but I really think it helps with puffiness.

A lovely eye cream, totally recommend for people with sensitive and dry skin.

Now the moisturiser. It comes in the same awesome packaging with the pump. It holds 40ml of product, once again a little definitely goes a long way. Has no noticable smell and no horrible ingredients.

It says it can be used on the eye area also which is fantastic.  I have mainly been using this one at night as it is a little bit thicker than my normal day cream and as I work in an extremely hot environment I prefer something really light during the day.

This hydrates my skin so much! It makes it feel incredibly soft and plump. I had some dry patches above my eyebrows and they literally disappeared after the first use. I feel it makes me look a little shiny which is another reason I prefer it at night. I wake up with amazing looking skin every morning. No dryness and it has not broken me out. Woohoo!

Together these make an amazing duo, if you have sensitive, dry skin I highly recommend these. The price is great and the products are amazing. Thanks BR for giving me the opportunity to trial these! Love them :-)

My skin is very temperamental I have to be so careful with what I use and test everything. I have been hospitalised by a sunscreen so although some think all skincare is the same it really isn't.

I actually emailed LRP about samples, stockists etc and they were so good and so helpful.. they are a branch of L'Oréal too I notice so a familiar brand which is good to know. I have purchased a LRP sunscreen after testing is at life pharmacy and they have lots of other LRP testers too so if your curious definitely stop in there and go wild on the testers.

Anyhow I really rate this as a duo. Especially the intense soothing care. I was daring and didn't even test patch I just went full face with it. And no reaction as expected with a solution aimed at sensitive skin.

I am actually using this set morning and night as recommended. The best thing about the morning application is it acts exactly like my $50+ primer!! If not better! It lightly lingers on the skin and feels soft and smooth. It makes sunscreen and makeup application a breeze.

It's non greasy and lightweight but keeps a nice barrier on the skin for hours following application. The eye contour soothes and cools and soothing care formula works quickly to provide a moisture barrier while soothing the skin.

Packaging is very much my style simple and stylish. The modern design of the bottle is actually quite amazing - you can YouTube it even. It's got a bag inside the tube that almost shrinks down as you use it.. amazing technology - to keep your product fresh.

I love the pump applicator on both the ultra & eye contour bottles. Both are very easy to use & bottles are lightweight, making them travel-friendly.

The Toleriane Moisturiser helped with my redness and dry patches and I noticed how my skin feels dewy moments after application. However, there’s also a strange scent to it which I am not a fan of.

The eye contour, on the other hand, doesn’t really work for me. I have not noticed any difference to my skin upon using it daily.

Price for both is on the mid-expensive range. I’d rather settle for a a more affordable brand that delivers the same quality.

First, the packaging. I love the pump mechanism which is explained on both boxes. It ensures no air can enter the bottle, meaning there is no need for extra preservatives in the moisturiser. What a great idea!

The daily moisturiser is probably my favourite of these two products, and the one I would consider re-purchasing. It really delivers 'ultra' moisture as the label suggests.

As a duo, the two work well together. They have helped with redness and inflammation that I have on my nose. This is significant for me because my red nose is something I'm quite self-conscious about.

I had a massive breakout all over my face before starting this trial, so for people who struggle with acne or pimples these products won't make your breakouts better or worse. At least it is good to know that this duo didn't block my skin which would have made the pimples much much worse.

Was pretty stoked when I was chosen to review these product, to seek relief for my sensitive skin. The packaging was what I would expect of a French based company – white with blue writing that still look stylish although the setout was pretty straight forward.

What is great about this formula is that it is free of preservatives such as lanolin, perfume, alcohol, colorant and parabens. I have now been using the product every morning and night and have had no irritation at all. I did however expected the texture to be thick, like other eye creams, but surprisingly this one is very light and spreads effortlessly.

To apply, I just follow the instructions printed inside the box (only saw that by accident). I just use my ring finger and gently dab the tiniest amount of product (it really goes a long way) over my eye contour and eyelid and apply a bit of pressure from the inside of my eye outwards, finishing off with added pressure over the entire eye.

For the Soothing Fluid, I have heard and read good things about this range, but was still a bit hesitant about the all-natural products. I have used some all-natural products in the past, but unfortunately, they have not even come close to what they advertised.

The soothing fluid is slightly bigger than the eye cream, but still a decent and acceptable size to travel with. I’m happy about this as we have an overseas trip coming up soon and I was freaking out about what moisturising products to pack. Pretty sure these will be great for the carry on.

It comes little twist pump that squirts just a good about of the milky light texture, that when applying with the fingers absorbs into the skin quickly, with no greasy after-feel. I could feel my skin immediately starting to calm after application and found the fluid to be hydrating and soothed the redness around my nose and cheeks.

A week later and I am glad to report that the skin around my eyes looks and feels so nice and hydrated. I love the size especially because I have some upcoming travelling and this will make it a super travel friendly and small enough to include as a carry on.

This cream is excellent, I have extremely dry skin and find it hard to get nourishing creams that do not react with my skin.this cream has cleared up the dry spots on my nose and cheeks almost completely which is so hard in the winter air. Some of the redness has died off. It melts into the skin well and does not leave any oily residue or shine. The eye cream is soft and easy to apply. It soothes and softens skin. I will continue to use the rest of the products as I think they are great. You only need a small amount to do the whole eye area and the whole face with the cream which is great value as I think they will last a long time.

I have sensitive skin and it can be a right pain. I cannot use the same moisturiser or face products for too long because one day I will go to put it on and bam, my face suddenly hates it. I even reacted to micellar water, it's supposed to have next to no ingredients and be good for sensitive skin but nope, it basically burnt my face off. I was excited to get on the trial team for these products because it sounded like a bit of what my skin needs. I swapped out my normal moisturiser and eye cream during this trial and carried on as usual otherwise with my skincare routine. The eye cream is quite thick and rich and I found one pump to be too much. You really only need a tiny bit to cover the area. the moisturiser has almost a whipped texture once it comes out of the bottle and is quite pleasant to apply. I didn't get the usual breakout from changing products which was a relief. When they say these products have no fragrance they are correct, they have basically no detectable smell so would be perfect if that's something your skin reacts to. Both bottles have a twist-to-lock feature which I like because if you are travelling with them you don't waste any product making sure they are fully closed. The bottles are plastic and to be honest for the price of the products lets them down a bit. I did read on their website that it's ultra-hermetic packaging so it does kind of make sense now. In good news my face did not react to the products and they did what you expect from an eye cream and moisturiser. The only downside was that one or both of these products have made my forehead excessively oily. I have an oily t-zone if I'm not careful with my routine but this was next level. While these are good for my skin on a sensitive skin level I don't think the formula suited what my skin needs.

Being picked for this review couldn't have come at a better time as I had just had my eye area fibroblasted two weeks earlier so my skin was ultra sensitive around my eyes and was needing a bit of extra tlc. The pump dispensing mechanism on these lightweight bottles gave the a perfect (maybe slightly generous) amount. I used one pump of the eye cream which was very soothing around my eyes and glided on easily. I don't like to skimp on the eye area. My eye area was a little itchy and prickly because of the treatment I had just had but found that over the course of the week that this helped it settle. I used two pumps of the face cream but possibly would've used three if I wasn't using the eye cream also. Again this glided on easily and spreads nicely and left my skin feeling silky. Both creams are fragrance free and don't contain nasties like parabens or alcohol so that is always a bonus for me. My skin definately seemed very hydrated after using these products and I felt that my skin seemed more clearer than usual and I did receive comments that my skin was looking good! It is a little pricey which is the downside for me but I would probably pay the extra for the benefits it seemed to give my skin
