Pin - Up

As a dupe for Too Faced's melted lipsticks, I was super excited to try this out when a friend gifted me the shade Pin - Up. This is a super intense red - which made me even more excited as red is one of my favourite shades to wear.

The packaging for this mimics the melted lipsticks. This comes in a squeeze tube with a gold lid and is colour coordinated with the packaging so you can easily identify which shade is which.

I like the packaging except for one thing - the applicator. This is a piece of plastic in which the product is pushed through. I really, really didn't li this as it feels quite hard on your lips and I found it really difficult to create a sharp and clean line. It could just be me but I created a big mess around my mouth when applying this straight from the tube - I ended up looking like the Joker haha!

To get around this I use a lip brush to apply this. It is way easier and cleaner, although I find it a little annoying as a lip brush isn't something I enjoy using. I prefer a product to have an ease and no fuss factor that this doesn't give me.

In terms of the product itself, it is super pigmented and has an insanely shiny finish. If you don't like a wet look to your lips then skip these, as the gloss is very, very shiny. A gloss finish isn't my favourite finish (I am more of a matte girl), and I find that the wear time on this isn't that great. It feels quite slippery and because off hat it does tend to slide around my mouth a bit. To overcome this and prolong the wear I suggest using a lip liner.

Overall I am not sure if I would purchase these. I do like them but because I am more of a fan of a matte finish this isn't something I would typically wear. The colour and pigmentation is beautiful and if this dried matte I would purchase these over and over. However, if you like a super colour saturated, glossy lip product then this is definitely right up your alley!

Tips: Use a lip liner underneath to prolong the wear of this.

Your messy but I love you

There seems to be a bit of a buzz around L.A girl products at the moment so I decided to purchase a few things from make up clearance I brought 2 of these, one in the colour babydoll and the other in blushing.

These were cheap $6.50 each... Winning!! Baby doll is a bright pink colour and blushing is a gorgeous plum colour and is my favourite of the 2. They come in little squeeze tubes which I love HOWEVER the tip on this squeeze tube is just wrong it's not slanted enough so it makes applying it rather... interesting, actually just messy. I also find the hole on the tip where the product comes out quite big so it comes out in a big blob especially if the tube is warm it just runs out. This is just annoying because I love the actual product.

The gloss smells quite minty and apart from it being a bit difficult to apply, it's easy to glide over the lip it's not sticky or gluggy. The colour is bright and it's very glossy it really stands out. It lasts about an hour and it needs to be reapplied, the colour does stain the lips so I make sure I touch up frequently if I'm eating and drinking. I love 'blushing' and have had a lot of comments on it when I wear it. For the price it's great just wish the tip was a bit better

I've had my eye on these. Are they a matte or a gloss. I'm not sure. I was going to buy one on trade me but didn't go through with it.

lip paint - coy

I have the colour coy and I love the bright violet colour. Its thick and goes on easily with a lip brush. I wouldn't recommend using straight from the tube as you wont get the precision. As a make up artist I think these are great for shoots.. however for day to day wear not so much unless you want to constantly be checking the mirror as it goes extremely patchy. These are not long lasting. You'll get about an hours wear before they start to look horrible. I would repurchase as the shade bombshell looks pretty so I want it for my kit but besides the colours the product itself is not that great.

LA Girl Glazed Lip Paints Review

I really liked these lip glazes, I've got the purple one and the pigmentation in it is awsome, its so bright and a little bit goes a long way. It also has that minty lip plumping scent and feel to it which I personally like. The price is pretty fair too i think I purchased mine from dressmart for $12. I havent tried the other colours yet but if they are as pigmented as the one I have I'm sure ill love it, the colour selection is good too thet have a range of colours

all in all I will for sure be purchasing more of these the only down side is I've only seen them at dressmart

I like painting

Omg. Yes. Love these so much. Lip paint is exactly what they are (not actual paint though guys) these are awesome to paint on your lips and I absolutely love how the color is so vibrant! They are also extremely inexpensive which is a big plus. Im comparing these to the too faced melted lipsticks and I love the texture of these much more. I currently have 4 of these babies and have two more on the way. For some reason I also love the packaging it just doesn't look as though its from a cheap makeup brand and it literally makes you want to buy it. Also the scent with these are devine and not off putting thank thw lord lol, I also love how they are not sticky at all which is another major bonus in my books. They only downside to them is that they transfer quite easily but thats not enough to put menoff! :)

Tips: Grab your lipbrush and paint!

Pigmented

I love these. Quite glossy but dries semi matte. They are very pigmented but I wouldn't say they are long wearing. A little goes a long way and there is a huge colour selection. The colours are also very unique. The consistency is perfect not too runny not too thick.

Tips: Apply with a brush as it could get messy. Line your lips if possible.

Love these Real Paints

I love them to the core, Just recently purchased due to a hype. And they have all points proven except the staying power. Still i would continue using them. I literally paint my lips with a small lip brush i have and these glide on very easy and cover my lips. so glossy, wat i love and pigmented at the same time. So many colors. I am using Pin-up and Bombshell coz i am in for bolder ones. I have used every single day since a week of owning them in my lip collection. Definitely recommend everyone i meet. Cheap too for such a nice lip accessory. I will go for other colors too. I reapply if it wears off, which happens like after 3 hours of application..not bad at all for such price..

Tips: Apply with a lip brush (wide one) for evenness.

amazing!!!

I have 6 shades and love to add more lol It is extremely pigmented,so cheap and easy to buy in NZ. I personally don't like the applicator much even though I have thick lips already!!! Lip brush is strongly recommended. I will be over the moon if this gives a matt finish like my Too faced melted liquid lipsticks... but I can't complain when it comes to the price.

Tips: After applying the lip painted for a few hours, you might find it leaking all over the lips. Use lip liner!! I tried and it does work perfectly!!!

Very pigmented although not very long-lasting

For the price, these babies are so underrated. Very pigmented and beautiful. You only need a smidgen of product to achieve full coverage.

When I first applied it, I wasn't used to the applicator at all. I'm actually still annoyed with it because it leaks easily and if you squeeze a little too hard with the tube, a lot of product comes out so be very careful!

I've got the colours "Tease" and "Seduce". Tease is a bright neon pink. I think of Barbie for some reason, whilst Seduce is more magenta. I prefer Seduce more. The lip paints all smell like peppermint so if you hate that, you should probably stay away. When applied it's very glossy and it never entirely dries on matte because it's shimmery. I find that Tease also has very fine glitter in it which I did not expect. Also partly why I prefer Seduce.

Overall, the colours are great and they're highly pigmented plus you don't need a lot of product to show their full effect. My only problem with them is that they don't last very long, and this is just a few hours without eating, and the applicator (which is not efficient whatsoever). Bottom line: if you're wanting a matte liquid lipstick, this is not for you.

Tips: Use a lip liner underneath so it lasts longer.
