My day cream is SPF 30, not SPF 15 (as specified above).
It unfortunately does have a slight sunscreen-like smell to it in my opinion, not overwhelming, but it’s definitely there and it is not a favourite smell of mine in skincare. However, I do appreciate that all good skincare regimes should probably have sun protection in them and I know why it needs to be there. Perhaps it is because I am used to lighter day creams, but it did also feel a bit too thick on my skin. But it does moisturise well and make my skin feel hydrated.
I would probably give this about 3 out of 5 for all of those those reasons.
I've been using all three of the L'Oreal Revitalift creams for 3 weeks now and its been a bit of a mixed bag for me. The day cream comes in a heavy glass jar which freaks my ocd out a little bit, sticking my fingers in every time. Thankfully I didn't have to share! The cream itself is apricot tinted, quite dense and has an interesting smell. Its kind of old fashioned a bit like a soapy kind of smell and not really my cup of tea. Having said that, the smell doesn't last long and as a negative it's a little one! The cream goes on smoothly, a little goes a long way thou! It soaks in quickly and doesn't feel greasy at all which was a surprise given how dense the cream is. I haven't seen a noticeable reduction in the fine lines on my face but it feels tighter and smoother than it did 3 weeks ago! I love that it has an spf factor, a must these days!
Tips: Make sure you have a great cleanser, I feel like the creams built up a little after a few uses but a good exfoliate fixed that :)
