Skin Screen and luxurious moisturiser combined

I am always on the lookout for face moisturiser with a sunblock combined as I am a tad lazy in the morning. My usual finds are great but tend to be more on the lighter side where moisturising is concerned, being over 40 I need all the help I can get.

The cream is lovely and thick and I find the tips of two fingers worth plenty to cover my face and neck. The product melts into the skin nicely and doesn't leave the skin feeling heavy or greasy with sun block. I love the packaging bright colors are always easy to find in my cosmetics bag when I'm traveling. Overall my skin has been left feeling soft and hydrated, I haven't noticed any reduction in fine lines but it's only been a week. I haven't felt the need to use any extra sun block on my face and, even with this very sunny weather at present, I haven't suffered any sunburn.

I will happily purchase this product once my current supply has run out.

Tips: Throw the box into your recycling bin as soon as you can if you dont want a constant reminder that yours is an over 40s product ;D

A serious anti-ageing contender!

Thanks so much to Beauty Review for the opportunity to review the Revitalift Laser X3, I’m a huge fan of skincare and was so excited to try this!

I have been starting to use some anti-ageing products in the last year and hadn’t tried any of L’Oreal’s skincare range in the wide pool of anti-ageing creams in the beauty market.

Firstly, I love a day cream with SPF! The Revitalift Laser X3 has SPF 15, so a pretty good one for me as I work in an office but never underestimate the power of the sun even in my short walks from the car to office or out to the cafe at lunchtime.

This cream has a velvety, medium texture and a pleasant scent. I generally tend to use lighter day creams as I have combination skin, but I’ve had no issues with using the Revitalift under my primer and foundation.

I’ve used it every morning and have found it to be quite firming so far, and have noticed a plumpness to my skin. I use a daily scrub to cleanse my face every morning and find that this cream glides on nicely after that.

The Revitalift is definitely hydrating, you certainly feel like you have face cream on after applying and that’s not necessarily undesirable, but I would recommend a lighter textured cream for those with an oily complexion.

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed using the Revitalift Laser X3, I’ve seen an improvement in the elasticity and tone of my skin and would recommend it for those after a serious anti-ageing day cream with SPF!

Tips: You don’t need to apply a lot - spread the cream evenly in circular motion as the instructions suggest. Don’t forget your neck and décolletage too! :)

Fab day cream for those aged 40+, with added Spf

I've been using Loreal Paris Revitalift Laser x3 Spf15 day cream for I think just under about 2 weeks now. I liked it as soon as I starting using it due to its texture, smell and feel - it scored big ticks from me in all those areas. And I like it even more now that I've been using it continuously on a daily basis, because of its noticeably positive effects on my skin.

The packaging is eye-catching - as it always is with Loreal Revitalift skincare products. It looks luxurious, with its silvery-purple lid and dark red base. The square tub is a cute size that's easy to grip and hold.

The other thing that caught my eye immediately was that it contains Spf15. To be honest, no day cream these days should be without some kind of sun protection factor (Spf). With this cream though, the Spf hasn't been included at the expense of the fragrance - unlike some other day creams I've tried. This one just smells pleasing and subtle - not too strong at all.

As for its texture, it's lovely and light! I was pleasantly surprised about this because day creams for the over 40s can often be a bit rich and dense, making them harder to apply. Not so with this one. While it might deliver a large dollop of skincare goodness, it feels light on the skin - as if it's not even there. I really like its texture as it just glides on effortlessly.

Once applied, my skin feels smoother and softer, like its just been delivered a huge dose of moisture and care! After using it daily, I've noticed my skin feels softer, more supple and much more hydrated. Fine lines also appear less pronounced once I've applied this cream, which is always a bonus for those of us on the wrong side of 40! The overall results on my skin have been very positive.

Time waits for no woman, but this Revitalift cream is helping me to fight back against the ageing process. As we age, we need day creams that deliver loads of moisture, but they also need to perform well under makeup and not lose that moisture over the course of the day. They also should contain some kind of sun protection factor. This day cream provides all those essentials for me, plus it then delivers some very noticeable benefits the more I use it, such as softer, more hydrated skin.

Out of all the Loreal Revitalift day creams I've tried, which have all been pretty good, this one is the best so far. It's everything you'd want in a day cream for the over 40s. With its added Spf, light texture and positive effects on the skin, what is actually not to like? I'd recommend it to anyone who is over 40 and wanting to take decent care of their skin. Five kisses.

Good ole Loreal, oldie but goodie!

Loreal has consistantly impressed me over the years. I haven’t used any of the Revitalift Laser X3 products for a while, i was lucky enough to be chosen to review.

Opening I felt a sense of comfort, with one of those textures and smells that takes me back. Coming in a 50ml glass pot, shrink wrapped package. I do appreciate shrink wrapped products, ensures freshness. Claims to Correct, Redensifie & Even Out. At this time of year especially in Auckland during Jan & Feb, I feel like product is just absorbed quickly and I really need to apply two layers. One layer was enough of the Loreal cream. Another issue is product sliding off, it has been un-expected to discover how well, easy and retained one application of this Revitalift day cream is. It was secondly unexpected that it worked so well under my "go to" in summer which is BB cream or thin layer of foundation then mineral powder. If I was going out at night or wanted to more dramatic look I would use a thicker moisturizer. Added SPF is always a bonus too. SPF15 seems like not too much, but I don’t really need anything stronger than that, 15 has always seen me right.

Has a real lush texture, easy to moisturize in. I really like that Loreal specifically suggest on packaging for which age group (40+ noted on this one). Has some products targeted at me – Pro-Xylane to help correct wrinkles, redensify skin and firm contours, LHA to exfoliate and resurface skin and even out skin tone. I’m not dazzled by “scientific” names and claims; I just go by what product is like for me.

I appreciate that I can use all the product in pot, sometimes those pesky self administrating packs leave me knowing there is more product inside. No breakouts and after using for 3 weeks feel I’d at least have 3 or 4 months left.

I’ve also used with serum and without, I feel the extra punch and staying power is given when using in conjunction with serum. Serum applied first then moisturizer. Serum has been a stable for me for 3 odd years now, morning and night. Always have day and night time regime. The 3X serum works really well with this moisturizer.

Loreal kinda just stays under the radar for me, they are always reliable and always there. There is something for everyone at any age with products suited many skin tones and textures. I do find it hard to part with $47 for this (at Farmers) but won’t hesitate buying both serum and day cream when on special.

I wouldn’t hesitate recommending this product, it’s not offensive, not over the top, it’s just a great honest product that does a great job, even with evening out fine lines.

Not enough time to review

I love L'Oreal Revitalift products. Like others, this product has such a luxurious feel to it. The cream feels quite dense so you don't need much (and therefore it lasts a long time!). And it smells delicious. I have combination skin that is oily in places and this definitely didn't increase the greasiness in those areas. As for did it live up to its claims, I don't believe two weeks is long enough to see those impacts. Even the TV ad compares the performance over a 4 week period and includes the night cream in the experiment. It has a lovely luxurious feeling though and I would happily continue using it if the price was right.

L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Laser X3 SPF15 Day Cream

The packaging was of a high quality and the container the cream came in felt luxurious and loved the colours. The cream itself smells wonderful and sometimes day creams or any face creams can be a bit "thick and heavy" and I was really surprised when I opened it and smelled and took a bit and rubbed it on my hand it was not thick and heavy at all but a nice lightweight cream that absorbed into my skin easily.

Even though I did have deep wrinkles yet, I could definitely see the fine lines around my eyes change as well overall difference in the brightness and texture of my skin being more softer. I also have pigmentation spots on my forehead and even though they are not completely gone, they are much lighter.

I have used this with an extra serum, but have found that the day cream is more than enough and that I didn't really need to use the serum that I had.

The day cream is also really fast absorbent and does not sit on your skin and with the smell I really felt refreshed and ready to go.

Not convinced

Thanks BR for letting me review this product! Firstly, I'm a BIG L'Oreal skincare stan, and really love the Revitalift range - especially the serum and the spf 30 day cream for (ahem) mature skin. But I found the Laser x3 just didn't do it for me. The packaging, I really like. Classic L'Oreal styling, very streamlined, heavy glass jar, dark red and grey colouring. Not a huge fan of having to stick my fingers in an open jar, but the container still looks good on my shelf. It's nice and moisturising and sinks in well. Fine for under makeup or by itself. However, the fragrance is extremely cloying and overpowering, with a talcum powdery, floral scent that I associate with extremely elderly people. (Like - I'm mature - but not THAT mature.) Also, the label says its 'an intensive anti-ageing moisturiser', so you'd think the spf would be higher than spf15. I usually use an spf30 every day, so using this made me feel extremely reckless! I think this moisturiser is fine, but there are better ones in the L'Oreal range.

Tips: Wash your hands before using, or use a clean applicator! With the open jar, its easy to transfer bacteria and germs.

Good but not amazing!

I can say the cream feels luxurious and velvety and sinks into my skin but it's not super heavy. However I'm not much of a fan of the fragrance, I wish it was fragrance-free! The cream does have SPF 15 which is a bonus however I do like to apply sunscreen on top for added sun protection. Overall, it's a good option for a day moisturising cream.

Tips: Don't forget about your hands and neck!

Everything you love about Revitalift...WITH SPF!

I am partial to the Revitalift range - it's one of those ranges that is accessible to all. It's not hard on the budget, regularly on special and easy to pick up in the supermarket.

The packaging is your usual Revitalift fare. Classy and good quality.

The cream itself isn't overly heavy and doesn't have that SPF smell that some products have. It absorbed easily and left a nice base for make up. There was no piling when I applied my foundation.

I've been using this for about 10 days and am really happy with the effects - my skin feels soft, nourished and supple and I really appreciate the added SPF in this bright, Kiwi sunshine!

Nice but needs more SPF and less fragrance

I was sent this to review by Beauty Review - thanks for the trial! It comes in heavy red glass jar with a metallic look lid, inside a cardboard box. The size and weight of the jar makes it feel like you get a lot of product - it is in fact 50ml which isn't huge.

The cream inside has a quite a strong, fresh scent. It is more heavily scented than I would like (as is the case with all Loreal products I have used), however this did not upset my skin at all. At first the cream appears really thick in the jar but it actually absorbs very quickly into the skin. I initially thought this would be too heavy to then apply over my dedicated SPF but this was not the case. Here is where this product falls down - SPF15 is really not adequate on its own so I would prefer if there was none in this product at all. This would make it more versatile as you would then be able to use it at night as well.

Despite being hot and humid at the moment, this does not leave me a sticky mess or oil slick at the end of the day. In fact I feel like it absorbs completely into my skin, and I do use quite a generous amount as I also apply to my neck and decolletage. I don't feel like this jar would last me a particularly long time. I have not been able to test this long enough to verify what the long term effects of this cream would be. It does leave my skin soft, plump and glowing when I use it though. I will keep using this until it is finished but I wouldn't purchase this unless it had less fragrance and more SPF.
