Dark blonde

I was lucky enough to be chosen for the trial of this. I opened the box found a lovely big container of conditioner which great coz there is never enough in other brands. Next I opened the gloves, great fit. I hate getting big gloves, you can't do a good job with big gloves. I mixed everything up, nice smelling. Not horrible like most. Goes on well and easy. Nice vibrant colour, beautiful and soft afterwards. I've always had good results with at home hair dye kits and this isn't any different, would recommend even just because it doesn't stink the house out. I can't wait to see how the colour lasts over the next few weeks

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss in 323 Dark Chocolate

I really like this product L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss. I tend to have a slightly sensitive scalp so I am really pleased when I find something that doesn't irritate me and does what it says!

The packaging works well, shows pictures of the hair colour, reads well. Inside are a pair of gloves, the colour mixture and conditioner for afterwards. I would also suggest having a rubbish bag ready for afterwards, old dark clothes as you don't want any stains. Easy to follow instructions, mean that applying colour is easy, and there is a lot of mixture so unless you have really really long hair its unlikely you will run out of mixture. I also have a roll of glad wrap handy and wrap up my hair once applied so I don't drip dye everywhere as it stains!!! The dye smells quite pleasant, not overly chemically. it does look really dark while on your hair before you wash it out, but don't worry it'll be fine. Rub off any dye that has landed on skin as soon as you spot them or they will be there awhile! After 20 minutes, wash the dye out in the shower until water runs clear then apply the conditioner. My hair was so very soft afterwards I didn't realise how much it needed a conditioning treatment.

Final results - the colour is a bit darker than the picture shows, but has a nice dark chocolate sheen in the sunshine. Hair is really soft and conditioned. My few white hairs are now a lovely dark chocolate. Perfect!

Tips: Be vigilant for any accidental dye spots on your skin or any on the basin/bathroom area, and rub them out immediately with water or they will stain!

Shiny and feels great

I usually dye my hair with supermarket hairdyes which are quite messy and drip everywhere. After using the L'oreal casting creme gloss i wont be using anything else this is amazing so easy to mix, no mess and great even coverage especially if you are like me and have grey hairs. My hair is shoulder length and i had more than enough creme left. My hair feels and looks great and it smells great too. L'oreal casting creme amazing product.

Tips: Put moisturiser on your forehead behind your ears and back of your neck to help wash off any excess dye.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss

Excited to receive the product as I was ready to colour my hair again. Loved that it had no ammonia that was a great plus as I hate the smell and the 'delicate fragrance' was nice. I found the product easy to use and as I have quite long thick hair was pleasantly surprised that there was enough product to complete my whole head of hair. The final result was good and my hair looked lovely and shiny the way it should. The instructions were a bit distracting with the other language and the way it was set out but not too big a problem. I would use the product again and recommend it, good experience with it.

L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss Review

I trialed the Chocolate Brown L'Oreal Casting Creme Glass Semi-Permanent 415 Iced Chocolate hair colour. I liked how the consistency was the right thickness, to be able to apply smoothly but not drip. It was just the right amount for my hair (my hair is really long, but thin) It claims to last 28washes. I have washed my hair approx 12times since applying and it is still going strong and the same colour, no fading yet. It had a pleasant smell and didn't give me a headache like some dyes can do with their strong smelling chemicals. Priced at $18.99 I think that is a good price and affordable for the quality of the product. Packing was good. Easy to access. I found the gloves inside the pack for applying dye a little tight to get on, but once on they were good (I have small hands) Processing time was faster then most hair dyes I have previously used which I appreciate as I have two young kids to look after and being able to get it done faster is great. The conditioner that came inside the box was great! Most dyes give you a tiny conditioner sample and it is just enough for one wash. This one was enough for two washes, maybe three if you had short hair and smelled lovely. Made my hair feel really soft. I would recommend it do a friend as I found the colour lovely and refreshing and has so far done what it claims to on its box. Thanks Beauty Review for the opportunity to trial it =)

L`oreal casting creme gloss

Apart from the packet being broken when I received it the goods were not damaged.I found it to be really easy to it.I would use it again. The colour that I picked was Caramel which was just about my real colour, the package was not all box so its was good for the value. Since I put the dye in I have been told that I look 10 years younger.

Tips: I would tell my friends, plus I took a pic before and after of myself and put it on facebook to see what people thought about the colour

New Year, Red Hair.

I chose the shade 262 Black Currant for this review. When the box arrived I got rather scared because the colour on the box didn't really look like the colour swatch online. However like any good Beauty Reviewer I still put it in my hair. Because I have bleach blonde hair and the box didn't advise blondes using this shade, I decided to dip dye it. Just incase it went funky. When you mix the colour up it turns a strange Orange shade which made me a tad worried, and was the same shade when applied to the hair. I honestly thought I was going to have orange hair but however, The colour applies smoothly and evenly to the hair and feels very moisturising. It didn't have that horrible hair-dye smell to it either which got a big thumbs up from me as there is nothing worse in my opinion than your whole house smelling like a packet of dye! As the colour starts to develop it does start to turn a Black Currant-Redish shade which made me wipe the sweat off my brows in relief. I am not one for orange hair, put it that way. The colour got really dark while it was developing to the point where it looked Black instead of Red. But when it was washed out it was true to the colour on the box, a beautiful Black Currant shade. The conditioner smelt AMAZING! Typically I am obsessed with packet-dye conditioners. They always smell great and make your hair feel silky smooth and well moisturised, the same goes for this conditioner-10/10. The only downside I have about this product is, I have had it in my hair for only a week and it has already faded so much. It went from Black Currant to a normal red shade very quickly so I can tell it is definitely not going to last in my hair for 28 washes which is a little disappointing. Other than that I would recommend this product 100% if you are wanting something semi permanent :)

Tips: Continue to use the conditioner with your normal shampoo routine. This will make the colour last longer in your hair and look more vibrant.

Casting Creme Gloss

I've wanted to try this L'Oreal casting creme gloss for a while now as its ammonia free. I also love the fact that it is semi permanent meaning im not ruining my hair too much. I got it in the color brownie which is like a rich medium brown. When I had mixed the two components together i could smell an amazing fruity smell unlike the horrible hair dye smells with most dyes. This helps me believe their is less chemicals in the product. It was easy to apply in a bottle with gloves. When washing the product out I did find it took quite a while for the water to run clear and the conditioner wasn't the yummiest thing I have ever smelt but it did make my hair (Very dry at the ends) feel silky smooth. Once my hair dried I loved the color and it covered my one grey patch very well but it wasn't as shiny as I was hoping. All in all I think this is a great dye and love love love that it is ammonia free, the only let down is the lack of shine.

Great - but not the best

I was chosen to trial this and unfortunately didn't receive my box, so being the curious creature that I am, I popped out and picked one of these up in the color Ebony. I have waist length, thick (ish), heat/colour damaged hair and am always on the look out for a dye that has no amonia in it as I can't stand the smell. I found this product to be OK but not amazing. Yes it covered my evil greys, yes it smells nice, yes it colours your hair, however I don't think it gave my hair that glorious glossy I've just dyed my hair look that I love! I'd use it if I didn't have anything else but there are other products on the market without amonia that I'd rather use.
