Good

The smells a tad overbearing. I love coffee but this is an extremely bold in ya face wakeup haha. It's great, because it's sugar don't use it IN the shower.

Holy grail

By far the best scrub I have used. I have had some more exspensive sugar scrubs. But this is the best I have had. Gets rid of all my dead skin, it is not harsh. I have used 2 jars of this scrub and am coming up to the end of my third.

Beautiful scrub

I received this as a gift and until then i had never even seen it around. As soon as i opened it i could instantly smell it , it smelt divine. The scrub looked very solid to me and that might be because it was such a cold day? It was very easy to use and felt so nice to rub into my skin. I like using this before i do my makeup so i have a smooth base ready beforehand. I don't have any nice scrubs like this one so i do love using it.

Great scent, too gentle for me

After having tried the other two scrubs in this range, and being gifted several samples of this from a friend, I figured I'd give this scrub a go. The scrub has a subtle cocoa butter scent, I imagined it'd smell more like chocolate, but this is great if you're someone who is sensitive to strong scents. The scrub itself is light brown in colour and has a paste like texture, it isn't very scrubby in texture, it's definitely a very fine exfoliant. I found a very tiny amount went a long way with this, which makes it very economical for the price. I have very sensitive skin, and the scrub was very gentle and didn't irritate any of my breakouts or make my skin worse. However, this isn't really much of a scrub or exfoliator, it's more like a cleanser. The exfoliant in this is so gentle it didn't really do much for me in terms of removing dead skin and exfoliation, whereas the other two scrub's in the range have a much grittier texture and exfoliate better. However, this did deliver on its promise of softening and smoothing my skin, my skin always felt baby soft are using this. I think the product is decent in that sense, but I am someone who wants a product called a scrub to actually scrub my skin, so if you're wanting a gentle product go for this, but if you're wanting an actual scrub I recommend trying the glow version in this range. This was pleasant enough to use, but it didn't wow me, so I'd only use it again as a cleanser, rather than as a facial scrub.

Sugar scrub

My friend recommended I try this scrub. It reminds me of a exfoliator scrub but less rough. It smells quite nice and feels like it removed the dried up skin on my face. Bit expensive but I was lucky enough to be able to use my friends.

Good everyday facial scrub

I haven't used any L'Oreal skincare for a while but decided to splurge when I was given some gift vouchers. I have dryish mature skin so selected the nourishing one as I didn't want it to strip all my essential skin oil. I have always found scrubs easiest to use in the shower after cleansing, and this one was a good example of that. A solid screw lid means it can't squeeze out like a tube and I had more control over how much I used. I have found the key to using scrubs is to not rub hard and this one was no different. Using my fingertips I applied several blobs to my face and massaged them in. I always find the area around my nose difficult so did that last. The product didn't sting my skin or leave it red like many scrubs have in the past but I felt it was still quite a hard texture. It left my skin lovely and soft after rinsing off though. It didn't strip my skin either so that was really pleasing.

Tips: Use a hand mitt or glove. Less is more when applying it.

Face scrub

I tried another one of these scrubs but I found this one didn’t seem to exfoliate as well as I had hoped for.

I found with this scrub I could feel more the cocoa butter than the exfoliating in it. It does smells nice and is a dark brown colour. It melts into your skin.

I tried it on my lips but it tastes gross I know you not supposed to eat it but when your scrubbing your lips it’s a bit hard not to sometimes.

My skin felt ok after but was a bit oily I wouldn’t use this one again.

Skin pampering pick-me-up in the depths of winter

I had the pleasure of trying this Loreal Paris sugar scrub as part of a Black Box I received recently (I have silver membership). The smell is fab, it has a a rich chocolatey smell, and the colour is dark chocolatey too. The texture on my face felt really nice, just gently exfoliating and slightly grainy (the texture of sugar), and before I even massaged the warm water on to my face, the formula was starting to melt into my skin. It was very easy to wash off as well - I wiped it gently off with warm water and a flannel, and I didn’t need to go to too much effort to get it off. Straight afterwards, my skin appeared more luminous - and that was only after one use (!), so this product definitely lives up to its claims and does what it says it can do. My skin also felt smoother and softer immediately afterwards - ‘baby-soft’ indeed! I reckon this face scrub makes for a nice, pampering, pick-me-up for the skin in winter - particularly if your skin is feeling a little dry, as mine was at that particular point in time. I’d use this product again.

Cocoa softness

I have wanted to try this scrub ever since it came up for trial on Beauty Review. I found it in the supermarket and purchased it so I could give it a try. The scrub comes in a luminous rosy brown box. The scrub itself comes in a 50ml glass jar, with a rosy brown lid that matches the box. The scrub inside is brown, and it smells very nice, like cocoa. It is made with cocoa butter, coconut oil, and cocoa grains as key ingredients.

The instructions say to apply the scrub with dry hands to a dry face. You can also use it on your lips. I found the scrub easy to scoop out and apply. Once you put warm water on your face, the scrub starts to melt, and then you can rinse it off.

I really like this scrub. It left my skin feeling smooth, but also very soft and moisturised. It was great on my lips too, which have been feeling very dry over winter.

I definitely recommend this scrub for people with dry skin.

Smells divine!

I originally bought this scrub after trying the kiwifruit variety for blackheads, but found that that one dried my skin out a little too much. This one is designed to exfoliate and hydrate so this sounded perfect for what I was after. This scrub smells like you could eat it, and as it happens, you almost can, because you can use it as a lip scrub! I loved this product as a lip scrub, I found that my lips (often dry and flaky in winter) felt smooth and hydrated. The scrub feels lovely on my skin, it is grainy and exfoliating, but then smooth and hydrating when water is added. I found my skin felt smooth and glowing after using this scrub. It also left my skin feeling hydrated. I would definitely buy this one again. It works great in combo with the kiwifruit one (I use that one on my nose for blackheads).

Tips: Don't forget you can use it on your lips too!
