Mi Vida Loca

I have been wanting this palette for such a long time and a friend of mine had messaged me one day saying "I have a palette for you", low and behold it was infact this bad boy! . The one thing I absolutely adore about this palette is it has 24 shades. Some matte some shimmer and almost every colour in the rainbow with the exception of red! Every single shadow is consistent. Pigmented and not chalky. Pigmented on the lid and it doesn't lose this as you blend them out on the eye. . There are endless possibilities with this palette and it's one I grab for whenever I'm doing my makeup, either to add depth of a colour or to add a pop of colour if I've done a neutral eye look. . The packaging is so quirky it's almost like a CD sleeve. You know how you open a CD case and the leaflet slides out this is exactly like that. . If anyone asks me what eyeshadow palette they should buy for colourful looks this is the one I reccomend everytime however it's a little trickier to get your hands on now!

Mi vida loca

When I saw this released I needed it in my possession not only did her packaging look amazing but the reviews on KVD products have been good so I jsut wanted it. So a friend sent it to me from Sephora USA. I ogled at this palette for months before taking the plunge into. Seriously I have a habit of savouring my new palettes until random times that I finally swatch it. The shades are displayed as a colour wheel which makes it easy to know what works with what & the shades are amazing they not actually out there pastel or bright but they are varied in colours. You have every shade you need to make your look you desire. I was first drawn to the berry shades & the neutral contour shades that are based at the centre of the wheel. An insert is attached to grab inspiration from. The shadows are buttery & have a bit of fall out so tapping of the brush is a must. The pigmentation is outstanding & they blend out nicely. I gravity to doing a moroon look & it gave me great quality pigmentation. I can say I was a little intimidated by this palette I didn't know which way was right & would just stick to the same shades for the same look. Which wasn't bad but it sat I my drawers for months almost a year with only a few uses(all be it giving outstanding perfromance) I couldn't justify keeping it because I wasn't giving it enough love so I sold it & do I regret it a little only because I no longer own it but as for use no I don't because I want using it & when I would use it I'd use the same shades.

Amazing.

When I was in LA last year I spotted this in Sephora and quickly grabbed it. Prior to this I hadn't owned any palettes by KVD but had tried the Shade and Light one from a friend. The fact that this is limited edition made me not think even twice about purchasing it. I rationalised that if I didn't like it I could sell it. As someone that is not big into coloured shadows, this pushed me far out of my comfort zone.

The packaging is beautiful. I am a fan of KVD's art work, and this is no exception. The package is beautifully presented and has a beautifully drawn information sleeve with suggested looks. The palette itself slides out from the case and the shadows are arranged in a circle, like a record.

There is a mix of matte and shimmers in here, and all the colours are arranged in a similar bunch. For example, pinks and purples are near each other so this makes it look almost like a gradient when looking at the palette.

As well as colourful shadows there are neutrals in the middle. I find I can easily get a complete look from this palette and not use anything else shadow wise - which is something I was concerned about.

Every single shade is extremely creamy, super pigmented and easy to blend. They are a little powdery so I find that tapping my brush before applying them helps. If I do that I have no issues with fallout whatsoever.

Overall I adore this palette. Whilst it isn't something I use every day (I am a neautral girl), I love it and am super glad that I picked it up. If you get the opportunity to purchase it - don't think twice, do it!
