VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray

I straighten my hair so much its crazy, i ran out of a different heat spray so i went to buy a new one and grabbed this. I used this the next time I did my hair and was just so happy with the results it was frizz free and it had a shine to it like it said. I've used this from then on and am still happy with the results. Added bonus is that it smells amazing!

I've been straightening my hair for many years now and to be honest I had kind of given up on heat protection sprays. I know how bad that is, but I think I purchased to many bad ones to want to continue using them. I read some reviews on the VO5 Heat Protect and decided that given it's decent price I would give it a try.

I really like the formula, other heat protectant sprays I have used have felt super sticky almost, and seemed to be more like a hair spray texture. This one is light and not clunky at all.

I know some people are bothered by the smell, but I quite like it. I don't find it too overpowering on my hair, and the smell seems to disappear once it drys anyway.

I'm not 100% how much it's protecting my hair though. I suppose it is kind of hard to tell - but I don't feel like my hair is any worse. I don't feel the need to wash my hair any more often that I would normally do (with other similar products I felt like my hair would get greasier quite fast).

I have used almost a whole bottle of this over the past few weeks and will be trying other products.

I have found it has worked for a short while, making my hair beautiful, sleek and shiny but then a few hours later the frizz is back and the sleekness is gone. Maybe this is because my hair is particulary hard to manage?

However, it does smell super scrummy, is really reasonably priced and is easy to use.

I've been using this product for about 6 weeks and I'm about halfway done with the bottle. I had been using a Giovanni spray previously but shipping for one item was too expensive so I decided to see what I could find at the supermarket. This was the only protectant spray I could see for a reasonable price (about $7), so I decided to give it a go.

The packaging is nice, I love pink so it's a winner there for me. The spray nozzle works well to mist the product over my hair. It also has a little push through button to easily lock it so little fingers can't waste your Product!

The smell is OK, not my fave. It kind of reminds me of a guys body spray. After straightening my hair, I can't smell it anymore though so that's good.

I think this spray makes claims that I haven't seen though. My hair hasn't been damaged from heat but I don't get any shine from this. I guess I don't really get frizz from it either which is good. My hair doesn't tend to be too frizzy anyway and I do also use leave in conditioner after straightening as well.

Overall, i think this works alright as far as heat protection goes. It's not my fave but being so cheap and accessible at the supermarket means i am very likely to pick it up again.

I liked this heat protect spray the first few times I used it. Maybe I sprayed to much on but felt like it did make my hair feel a bit oily. When I was using it I had to wash my hair a lot more often and I'm not a huge fan of that with the mop I have. But it smelt good and seemed to help with split ends so I'm happy with that part of it

I use this every time I straighten my hair and it does an awesome job. It smells amazing and sprays a good amount evenly over your hair. The spray is light weight so even if I spray too much my hair doesn't feel weighted down or greasy. I love the lock feature on the spray nozzle which makes it handy when traveling. I am left with nice soft shining hair after each use.

I've straightened my hair for many years, and have gone through quite a few hair protect products. I chose this spray because it's easy to find (supermarkets, Farmers,etc), and for it's price. It comes in a cute, hot-pink, plastic spray bottle which has a lock feature (though I find this feature sort of useless, I have never felt the need to lock my spray), but maybe it would be useful for some people. I do love the scent of the spray, it smells like the hair sprays used in salons and is pleasant and floral, as opposed to chemical. It definitely does as claimed, in protecting my hair from heat-products, as my hair continues to feel conditioned and moisturised. However, I do not feel that this product necessarily adds shine or a "smooth finish" to my hair- I believe that my hair straightener is what gives it a smooth finish. Also have not see it give me a "frizz free" finish either

This product does half of its purpose , as described. At first I thought the product was a complete bust because I broke the handle (a little sprinkled out so I thought it was unlocked but it wasnt) after struggling to get the product out, I used it properly and my hair did get protected from heat damage. Although I didnt have any shine and my hair started to fizz after a short while. The smell is average and the package is pretty pink bottle overall id say give it a try, its not the best but it does the job

I tried out the VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray after spending lots of money on expensive styling sprays for years. Was SUPER pleased with this product - not only does it do a great job but it's super cheap, smells great and has adorable packaging!

This product comes in a cute little hot pink bottle, with a spray nozzle and a handy little on-off switch which you can use to avoid accidentally spraying it in your bag or whatever when traveling. It sprays a very generous and even amount of product through your hair, smells delicious, and I found definitely contributes to my hair being straightened that much more smoothly. It seemed to help smooth fly-aways and frizz, and I will definitely be using this product again.

To me a heat protectant is exactly that. a heat protectant and I don't find it any different to other heat protectants that I have used when using heat styling tools on my hair.

I have very long, dry, coloured hair, and I believe this product protects it against heat styling the best any product can.

The spray bottle is great - very simple to use and the product disperses well. The bottle also has an off and on, which I appreciate.It has a pleasant scent, nothing too soapy or strong.

The heat protectant has a light consistency, and dries quickly.

I would recommend this product to anyone needing an affordable heat protectant spray.
