VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray

Shampoo and Conditioner are the obvious answers to hair care, but I think that also need good protection if you're styling your hair. VO5's Heat Protect Styling Spray is perfect if you're blow-drying or using heating tools lots. It protects the hair from the damaging heat, makes the hair dry faster and gave me a better end result. I really like this product, and it smells nice!

I hadn't bought a heat protect spray in years (shamefully), but bought the VO5 shampoo and conditioner so decided to by the heat protect spray (and another smooth/shine spray) and have the whole set so to say.

I love the smell of this one and I love the bottle. The spray is easy to use and gives a good coverage on your hair. I found that my hair was somewhat less frizzy after using this before blowdrying and straightening so completely happy about that.

I notice I still get some damage to my hair from using straighteners, but for the price I am happy with the results. I am sure I have less damage than without using this product, but more importantly I am happy with it simply reducing the frizz in my hair when blowdrying/straightening.

First of all always a fan of pink so love the packaging, really liked the lock button on spray to push when wanted to lock the spray. I wash my hair every 3 days so made sure to use my spray by their directions which is to spray generously on towel dried hair before drying or styling. The smell was gorgeous fresh and light. So the product it self promises to deliver frizz free shine and I think it fairly lived up to that, considering it is a supermarket brought item and very affordable I was happy with what it did. I didn't however like the feel after blow drying it had that slightly dense feel that products leave in your hair however upon using it the next day before straightening and on unwashed hair it was awesome, it did give me frizz free hair with a fair not a highly noticeable shine. My hair still felt light and knowing I was using something to protect it while straightening was a big bonus.

I bought this after seeing reviews on here about this product, and am impressed. The spray works well from a distance and gives a fine mist. The product smells nice, and coats my hair nicely before styling, and I feel it gives a nice taming edge to it as well.

I tried this product because it was on special. I don't usually buy Vo5 shampoos and conditioners so I was interested to see if this product would work. I instantly fell in love with the smell it is absolutely delicious! and on top of that the product works! It controls frizz and leaves a beautiful shine afterwards. Almost like a serum and frizz/heat controller all in one. very happy and will buy this again when I run out of the first one.

I have to say I can be a bit of a hair snob, as I normally only buy haircare products from hairdressers, with most items being Kerastase and Loreal.

So I was very interested to try the V05 Heat Protect Styling Spray, as it's a cheaper product that you can buy from the supermarket.

When I sprayed it on my hair the mist distributed lightly over my hair and didn't weigh it down like other products I have tried. I then blowdried my hair straight using my paddle brush.

I have to say I was impressed how this product tamed the frizz, giving me a straight, glossy finish to my hair- which lasted a couple of days! . I also loved the hot pink bottle and handy lockable feature for the spray pump.

The only downside to this styling spray was the floral type fragrance, which I found rather overpowering.

However, I found this product to be just as good as the expensive brands, and it more than does the job - the V05 Heat Protect Styling Spray is definitely on my shopping list from now on!

I was so excited to try this product on my thick coarse hair, straightening daily is essential to tame my locks so I really hoped this product would be good. I liked the look of the bottle, nice size and I thought the pump spray would be good. I know this sounds sad but I actually found the pump handle a bit awkward to use at first but it did get easier. I loved the smell of the product, it is light and fresh. My damp hair was easy to comb through after application however that is probably where the positives end. Once I started drying my hair, my hair started to feel sticky and claggy. My hair felt heavy after drying and had less shine than with my usual products. I persevered for the trial period but today used my usual products to make a comparison. I could see and feel a visible difference, sorry but I won't be continuing to use this spray. However I would still recommend it for others to try because as everyone's hair is different it may well work for others :-)

I am usually really fond of VO5 products...Being someone with very thick hair I rely heavily on my hair straightener. I always use a heat protector to stop my hair becoming dry and split and was really excited to be chosen to try this.

The smell is initially put me off - to me it smells like a mans aftershave, and I can still smell it. I followed the instructions and proceeded to style my hair as usual.

After I had styled my hair, it looked and felt super greasy - the promise to add shine to my hair did just that, only not the type of shine you would want. I also started to get a really itchy and irritated scalp from the product.

I don't think it is something I will be using again, mainly due to the reaction I had from it but also the look of greasy hair just doesn't do it for me.

I didn't have great expectations regarding this product as I've tried many others of similar type which didn't seem to work at all except make my hair feel sticky and heavy. So I gave up searching for some time until I got this product for review and surprisingly I'm not at all disappointed. The bottle is a cute pink and well sized fitting most handbags for it's 200 ml. It promises to keep your hair protected up to 230 degrees which is great if you need higher temperatures to style your hair. Not only does it protect your hair from heat as it also gives it a healthier shinny look and leaves you with a soft heavenly scented hair. The spray pump with a useful travel friendly lock/unlock button on one side distributes the product in a fine spray for full coverage.I noticed that four pumps is enough for my hair (shoulder length) so It will probably last for some time. This product definitely ticks all the boxes in my list and if you are looking for a cost effective styling heat protecting product this does it all!

This is a great heat protectant available from the supermarket. I am also not a fan of the shampoos as they don't do anything to my hair and also prefer another supermarket brand but to my surprise i actually enjoyed this product. I found that this has a lovely scent. I have found that if i use this before heat styling my hair it feels smooth afterwards and looks healthy instead of looking dry and damaged. For me this stuff lasts a year as i only heat style my hair in the weekend.
