From Frizzy To Smooth

This is a tool with all the features you could want in a hair straightener; plus more! It enables you to custom pick the best temperature for your hair, resulting in smooth, silky locks with less damage.

The VS Sassoon Goddess has two, large ceramic panels to straighten your hair. These are perfect for anyone with thicker hair, as you can fit more in the straightener. This makes for an extra fast straighten that is good to go in no time!

There is a built in comb which can be set to three different lengths. However, I prefer not to use the comb at all as I feel like it makes the straightener pull on my hair too much.

No more are the days of waiting for what seems like hours for your straightener to heat up! After you have picked whichever temperature works best for your hair, the Goddess will reach that temperature in seconds! Also featuring ionic, conditioning steam, this straightener really does ensure a smooth, flawless look in mere minutes!

Not very consistent

I bought this on sale for $80 at Harvey Norman because it claimed to be similar or even better than GHD. I thought I'll give it a go. The first year of using this was great! It was so fast to straighten my hair as the plates was able to hold thick locks on my hair, and the straight hair last for the whole day, but for some reason after a year of using it. My hair smelled burnt after using it, and it won't even stay straight all day. And it didn't leave my hair shiny and smooth as it did before. My hair was lifeless and dull after a year of using this. It was good while it lasted.

gooddess at first

When freshly pulled out the box and used to straighten my hair I tort at first this was such a brilliant hot iron as I straighten my hair and left a fishing sine afterwards .but as I get to use it more I figured it had started wearing and tearing early and started to badly damage my hair by burning striping and drying out my hair leaving a straw look wire feeling type to my hair.i recommend this for a backup straightener but only for a short amount of Tim as back as its only good on he first few turns u have of it then after that I find it damaging

Tips: Only good as a back for a SHORT time

Goddess Hair

I got these originally only for the free travel sized straighteners (which are voltage switching, so yes, they work well in the USA!) Farmers will often have these on sale too, so be patient and save yourself a hundy.

As for the main game straighteners, you can set the temperature. My hairdresser recommended the highest setting to me to stop my hair losing my straightness throughout the day (she was right!). The steam also really helps with setting the hair, and keeping moisture in as well. I have brittle, fine hair and using these every other day has not damaged my hair.

They have a large, almost paddle like plates which really helps with straightening too, but you can't pull tricks like using them to curl your hair. And they warm up really quickly too. I usually leave them to warm up while I go and tone and moisturise my face.

I just wish they had a little loop at the end of them to make it easier to hang them up in the bathroom.

Great for not frying your hair

The best feature of these straighteners is that they have a range of heat settings, so they won't fry your hair on the low settings if you have brittle hair. The combs that you can flick up through the plates are handy if you have hair that is a bit stubborn at wanting to go through straighteners nicely. The one function that I was disappointed with on this was the steam function where you fill up the reservoir with water to help straighten your hair (like they did with irons in the old days!). When I used the steam function my hair DID go frizzy rather than the smooth straightness promised. So I never use that function now. I love how good it straightens on the low heat and if you have any stubborn bits you can up the heat for those without having to use high heat on all your hair.

Tips: Ditch the steam function and make use of the low heat to keep your hair in good health.

Be a Goddess!

I love this straightener! I got it on special at Noel Lemmings for $160 I think. At the time, my hair had a lot of layers and the sales assistant warned me about it being not so easy to use due to the wide plates. This was a minor issue for me and I happily straightened my fuzzy mop into silky tresses in no time. Speaking of time...oh wow, its so much quicker to use that my daughter's GHD! I really like how it has a steam reservoir as this seems to totally smooth the kinks and I feel like it speeds up the process also. You do have to refill at least 2x though! It has a built in comb attachment that you can alter to 3 different lengths, depending on the tangle in your hair. It has an LED temperature gauge that you can alter. It heats up to 230° but I usually have it set at 180-200. My plates are quite dirty now and I accidentally dropped it a few time but its still going strong!

Tips: *Don't drop it! *Remember to top up the water reservoir often *Clean the plates because product build up will occur
