This is the best invention ever. I jave very havey thick hair and it takes ages to curl and falls out fast. But with this ots juat so fast.
I devide mu haor into pieces and then put it trough bit by bit. It sucks it in fast and spits out a perfect curl in just secounds. I was stuned the first time i ised this magnificent piece of invention. I ised haor spray but mu perfect cirls lastes the entire day this is totaly forth its price
I love wearing my hair curled but could never be bothered with how long it would take me using my wand and then my hairdresser told me about this product and I ran out to buy it. It is so quick and easy to use! At first I had a little trouble getting a nice curl but then I realised the sections I was curling were too big so once I made them smaller I was away! I curl my hair so much more now while my straighteners collect dust lol
Have you used the original Curl secret & loved it? Then you are going to love this more! I'm a big fan of VS Sasoon's automatic styling devices. That's why I have the 'original curl secret', this 'multi curler' & their newest device 'smooth & wave' in my disposal. I have used them all numerous times & that's why I can write comparative reviews on each of these.
To be honest if you have the multi curl you wont need the original anymore because VS sassoon has wiped out most of the cons of the original with this new curler. In my review of the original multi curl I have mentioned the cons as follows.
(1) Single curl direction - In multi curl you can select what you prefer. Right, left or alternative.
(2) One size curls/ringlets - New one comes with 2 barrels to choose from.
(3) Due to small hair section size, it takes longer to curl the whole head - This is still true for me with the small barrel as it is exactly the same size as the original. But the bigger barrel makes curling faster.
This is why I'm pretty impressed with VS Sasoon. They came up with the original curl secret. People loved it but being the 1st of its kind it had some issues which VS Sassoon has corrected in their next model. Got to love a brand who listens to you.
Other than these new improvements it pretty much works the same way as the original. It is very easy to use once you get the hang of it. If you are already used to the original, then it will be a cake walk but if not, there is a learning curve of getting to know the device. My suggestion is to start up with the big barrel as it's more forgiving with the size of the hair section. Then you can move on to the smaller barrel.
The warnings I gave in my curl secret review applies to this one as well. If you use a big hair section it might get stuck. Size of the section varies according to the thickness of your hair, length of the section & barrel size you choose. Big barrel - big hair section, small barrel - small hair section. Anyhow once the hair has been caught, the curler will stop rolling. You only have to stop squeezing the two ends together immediately as squeezing will encourage the curler to roll. And then you can slowly drag the hair out. It might be scary at first few times when this happens, but you'll learn fast what the curler barrel can handle & can't, soon enough. Thus why I mentioned a learning curve.
All the pros and some of the cons I mentioned in the original curl secret review applies to this as well.
Pros:
Easy to use. (Once you get the hang of it)
Fast curling automatic action.
Curls last until you have a shower even without hair spray.
Can get from defined waves to curls to tight ringlets according to the time you left the hair in the chamber.
Multi curl sizes in multi directions.
Cons:
Takes so long to curl the whole head with the small barrel. Especially if you have thick hair like me.
Hair can get stuck if you try to pull big sections.
Tips: There is a learning curve if you haven't used the original. Be patient and you will get the hang of it soon :)
Only thing this device can't do is straightening your hair! :D Which is why VS Sassoon has introduced 'Smooth and Wave'. It is a curler/ straightener in one device which can give you smooth straight hair and defined waves to loose curls.
I love my curls , this works well on my hair in very small sections only , as my hair is very long any thicker sections cant be processed properly, So in most cases l just used on 3/4 of hair length, but what the curl looked like is good Dont use very often as it takes a long time to do in such small sections But on shorter and not so thick hair would work well ,
