My old tongs finally died - they'd been a $2 purchase from Savemart by a friend who gave them to me. That was years ago, and they were great. So they broke down and I needed new ones. I got these in a Farmers sale for I think $60.00.
What I like about these is that they look cute, and they are very light. They don't seem as hot as my previous ones, and so it takes a bit longer to straighten to my hair. But they do a good job and don't cause any noticeable stress to my hair. They do leave it smooth and silky as per the product claim.
So weighing the extra time it takes to straighten, balanced against the lesser obvious damage to my hair, and the economical price, I'd say they're a good purchase.
