If you were to be practicing how to be using a flat iron then I would recommend this straightener only for that use as it does not heat up enough to be able to professionally straighten a persons head as the. Plates do not produce enough heat between each other to be able to create heat to straighten hair.I have experienced using this best on Maybe a child's hair or just asboractice as no one would be happy with the outcome and will not get that sleek straight look you'd be trying to achieve. Would maybe be suitable on someone with fine thin hair as it would take affect on that and of hair but not by me check.for its retail price It costs way to much as the outcome wouldn't be very satisfying to n e person's nor pairs wantn the great straight sleek look
