Good looking, intelligent and has a long cord.

After ogling the gorgeous look and colour of my new Remington Infinite Protect Hairdryer, the first thing I checked was the length of the electrical cord. It’s 3 metres long so I’m an extremely happy camper, as when it comes to hairdryer cords, I’m all about the length. The hanging loop is also handy although I’m not organized enough to have anything to hang it on just yet. The hairdryer is easy and comfortable to hold. My thumb sits nicely between the two switches and it was easy to use while drying my hair. I also like a hairdryer that has some oomph, and at 2300 watts, this hairdryer definitely provides a powerful blast of hot (or cold) air. So far I’ve only tried out the two concentrators as I don’t have curls for the diffuser. I like that there are two concentrators and this is useful depending on exactly how you want to style your hair. There are 6 switch combinations – 3 heat, 2 speed and the true cool shot, so plenty of different options for different needs. To be honest I tend to mainly blast my hair on full heat and speed as I’m usually in a rush in the mornings. I’m absolutely loving the intelligent sensor which monitors the air temperature and continually adjusts the heat to prevent overheating. This is perfect for me as I have the heat setting on high and I dry my hair in the bathroom which is usually quite humid, so it doesn’t take much to overheat. I’ve noticed it subtly adjusting so as not to overheat which makes it perfect over the summer as well. I prefer this option to having to use the cool shot option as I like the feel of warm/hot air to style my hair. Another bonus is the five year warranty, I wouldn’t buy a hairdryer unless it had a minimum of a five year warranty as you know you’re going to get a decent hairdryer that will last. I tend to have problems with humidity and frizz so I’m loving the ionic conditioning technology that provides 90% more ions for less frizz. I don’t actually fully understand the science behind that technology but if it prevents my hair from frizzing up, then I’m a huge ionic fan. Lastly I want to mention the shea oil infused ceramic grille. I’m not sure if you’re meant to be able to smell the shea oil but as I dry my hair in the bathroom after a shower, there are already a lot of nice smells floating around so I haven’t really been able to specifically smell the shea oil as yet. Although the other morning after drying my hair, my daughter came in to the bathroom and said the smell reminded her of Fiji, so maybe it’s there and I just haven’t been able to single it out yet. Overall I’m extremely happy with my new Remington Infinite Protect hairdryer and I know that it’s going to see me through at least the next five years without a hitch (and more importantly the frizz).

Tips: Don't forget to press the intelligent sensor button at the back of the hairdryer.

Sleek stylish looking salon hair done at home.

I was thrilled to be selected to trial the Remington Infinite Protect Hair Dryer as it has some very cool technology and after recently giving birth to my second child I am always looking for new products to save time and make my life easier.

The Remington Infinite protect hair dryer is a simple but stylish design in a lovely metallic silver colour with black buttons. I found the long handle makes it easy to hold and easy to use. It also has a very functional 3m cord and a hang loop for easy storage. The air inlet grille at the back is detachable for cleaning and is definitely easy to remove by twisting it anti clockwise.

The manual is actually useful and tell you what speeds and attachments to use to achieve your desired hairstyle. As I normally want sleek, straight hair I have only used the two concentrator attachments. The diffuser attachment is more for adding volume and for enhancing curls. All 3 attachments fitted the end of the dryer tightly and with ease.It has the standard 3 heat settings and 2 speeds (fast and faster). The thing that makes this hair dryer so cool and stand out from the crowd is the intelligent sensor. When the hair dryer is on medium or high heat you can activated the infinite button to regulate the temperature. This makes sure your hair temperature doesn't go above 85 degrees. I personally love this feature as it ensure the ends of my hair don't overheat and become drier when using. Other neat features include: the UV filters which help protect against harmful sun-rays and the ceramic grill which is coated in Shea oil to help add vibrancy and shine to your hair. Im not 100% convinced about the Shea oil adding extra shine to my hair but I do like how my hair is more manageable in-between washes since using this dryer as it is less knotty.

I used this hair dryer on high heat/speed to quickly dry my hair so it is nearly fully dry which take roughly 3-5mins. I then lower the heat and speed and attach the 11mm concentrator nozzle and use a brush to follow the nozzle down a section of my hair. I found this makes my hair lovely and straight and does actually reduce frizziness. I timed how long it took to dry my hair and it was roughly 15mins including the quick dry part so it is pretty efficient.

Comparing the Remington dryer to my 4 year old ghd hair dryer I would have to say that this is on par if not better in terms of drying speed. It is slightly larger in size but weighs about the same as the ghd but the handle and buttons are more user friendly. It gave the same overall finish as the ghd in terms of reducing frizziness and shine but I think I prefer the Remington hair dryer due to the intelligent sensor technology and how more manageable my hair is in-between washes. This really is a wonderful hair dryer for $99. It has some of the latest technology that sometimes only more expensive hair dryers on the market have and it also has a 5 year warranty too so it really is worth investing in.

Tips: Use the cool shot to look in your desired hair style at the end of drying!

What a beast!

I was so stoked to pick this up in the Beauty Vault,  thanks BR! My old hairdryer was definitely past its prime so this is exactly  what I needed. It is a beautiful champagne colour which I love, I also have the matching curling tongs, once again thanks BR!

The first thing I noticed was the weight, this beast is heavy! It took me a while to get used to it, it has a powerful motor and dries my hair quite quick. I always have the infinite protect button on which makes sure your hair does not get too hot, you know it is on when the little blue light on top lights up. I also love it has a super long cord.

It has a cool shot button, 2 speeds and 3 heat settings, I use it on top speed and high heat for best drying for me. I like to use no attachments to start with then when my hair is nearly dry I attach the thin nozzle which is great for straightening and reducing frizz.

I have very long hair and after each use it looks so good! It definitely looks smoother and shiny. This is hands down the best hairdryer I have ever owned and recommend it to everyone for sure.

Love it!

After reading amazing reviews about it, I really wanted to try this out. I very lucky I managed to grab this few Beauty Vaults ago. I definitely wouldn't be paying a that much for a hairdryer myself.

It's a beautiful light gold shade and it's surprisingly heavy, which I didn't expect it to be. It has three changeable nozzles for different styles. It has 3 heat settings and 2 speed settings. I use this after washing my hair or whenever my hair gets wet.

I still haven't managed to figure out how the diffuser works for my curls, but I love just drying my hair with this. It dries my hair fast and my hair looks healthy without any heat damage. I recommend it if you're looking for a very good hair dryer.

Tips: Squeeze out all excess water from the hair before drying with the hair dryer.

Solid gold

Please excuse the pun in the title. My first thought when I saw this was pure delight at the beautiful pale gold colour. My second was 'wow, she's weighty!'

My regular hairdrier cost about $30 and it does the job, but when I picked this up I felt a massive weight difference. This told me that a) this is a much more heavy-duty machine, designed to last, and b) it can do a lot more than my cheapie.

When I pulled it out of the box I was pleased to see a generously long cord on it (no need for extension cords!), plus three different tools that clip on to the hairdrier for styling purposes.

Here is where I come clean: I very rarely use a hairdrier. As such, I'm not amazing at using it for styling purposes. I tried to do curls using the diffuser, but there were no instructions (as far as I could understand) in the enclosed instruction booklet,so I gave up and tried to dry it straight. I found the instruction booklet generally very helpful. I know people may laugh at me for reading the instructions but I'm a WOMAN and we're ALLOWED to read instructions!

As for the hairdrier itself, it didn't dry as fast as I anticipated but I guess that's because it's moderating the temperature to ensure your hair doesn't overheat. When I finished I believe it did look and feel smoother than previously, and I just needed to put a little serum in to finish it off.

Altogether I am finding this a really good tool, though my styling skills require some finesse. I'll keep you updated as I get used to my new toy!

Tips: Nice long cord so you're guaranteed to reach the mirror. Yay!

Pretty hair dryer!

This is such a pretty hair dryer- I love the colour! When my other hair dryer was getting a bit old and ready to be replaced I purchased this one- and happy that I did!

It’s comfortable to hold and looks really nice.

The dryer dries my hair well and efficiently. My hair feels silky and smooth. This hair dryer is a really nice and good quality hair dryer. I am happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend.

I would give it 4 stars, just because it doesn’t dry my hair as fast as my last hair dryer and doesn’t have all the features that hopefully my next hair dryer will.
