I have had two sets of these in my lifetime and they haven't changed except for the packaging - the size of the barrel of these is the same and is the perfect size for creating big volume curls which give the hair bounce without making it curly - these are good for when I want straight hair with body as I can quickly blow dry and put up in these and they help straighten as they curl the hair. They don't get too hot either so minimal damage and less risk of burning yourself. Only downfall for me is I have a lot of hair and there is only ever enough curlers for about 3/4 of my hair so I have to use them where it counts (top and sides) and leave the back un-curled. If they included an extra 2 curlers I would rate a 5. The container is also nice and compact on the dresser (not overly bulky) and the cord neatly wraps around the base to keep things tidy.
