Herbal Essences BioRenew Hydrating Coconut Milk Shampoo

The shampoo comes in a brown plastic bottle with an easy to open lid. Will say I am not that fussed on the colour of the bottle but did like the sturdy shape which sat well in my wire rack in the shower. On opening the smell of coconut is apparent but not too overpowering. The shampoo is a nice thick consistency and can be controlled as to how much you want. I have shoulder length hair and only needed about a ten cent coin worth. When applied to wet hair it lathered up nicely and rinsed out well. Hair felt clean and I love that this has 0% colourants in it. Overall even tho I only had a short amount of time to review I am impressed and cant wait to carry on using to see further results.

I’m very impressed with the moisturising shampoo as it does what it says. My hair feels very smooth and not tangled even before I applied the conditioner. It’s very gentle and doesn’t irritate my sensitive scalp.

Normally I’m a bit sceptical with shampoos that has the word “moisturising” as it tends to make my hair looks and feels greasy quicker. I don't have that problem with this particular shampoo.

I find the scent a tad too strong, but the scent itself is beautiful.

Definitely will keep on using it.

This is a lovely smelling shampoo, that left hair shiny and soft. The packaging is lovely and easy to deal with in the shower. The downside for me is that it has silicones in it, of which I am not a fan. But don't let this put you off if you are someone whose hair copes with silicones :)

This is the only shampoo I've found that leaves my fine, wavy, frizz-prone hair soft and smooth, even when I don't use conditioner. I prefer to use the shampoo and conditioner together but if I'm in a rush I don't have to worry. Leaves my hair easy to comb and smells lovely. It hydrates my hair which it oily at the roots and dry at the end, without making it greasy or weighing it down. Will definitely continue to repurchase!

Thanks for the opportunity to review this Shampoo ive really loved it so far and will continue on using it. Im 38 weeks pregnant with my second and my hair is super thick and curly so was looking like a bit of a mop and in need of something that gave it a bit of shine. This has delivered!! It has just the right amount of coconut fragrance and cleans my hair well. It has a normal shampoo consistency and lathers up well. Its such a good size 400ml bottle too so should last a good while. Im impressed as its been years since ive used Herbal Essences.

This shampoo smells amaaaaaaaziiiing! It doesn’t just smell of coconut milk but it has other notes to it that makes it smell like an old school sun tan lotion, which I love! The big bulky brown bottle is also pretty old school in its design and also reminds me of an old bottle of sunscreen - I’m not so keen on it. It does have a flip top lid though and the bottle is easy to squeeze to get the product out.

You only need a tiny bit of product to get a rich, creamy lather from it and it leaves your hair squeaky clean. This is due to the product containing SLS and SLES. This is not a problem for everyone but for some, myself included, it can lead it itchy, dry skin. My scalp did feel a bit itchy afterwards but this settled down once my hair was dry. I also found this shampoo quite volumnising - not something I need so it made by hair quite big. I also tend toward the frizzies. I didn’t put any serum in my hair afterwards and it didn’t seem as frizzy as usual.

Overall, I enjoyed using this shampoo but I wouldn’t purchase it due to the SLS/SLES. I’ll continue to use it just because I love the smell but will alternate it with my usual shampoo to minimise the effects of the SLS/SLES.

I have been using the Herbal Essences Coconut Milk Moisturising Shampoo daily for the last week.

I am more of a conditioner fan and normally any shampoo goes but I really enjoyed this shampoo for two main reasons.

The hydration: My hair actually felt quite nice when I rinsed it out, not rough, dry and knotty like it normally would.

The scent: Mmmm coconut, if you are a coconut fan then this one is for you. The smell of coconut mixed with the warmth of vanilla engulfs you and lasts in your hair for the longest time.

Also the bottle size, shape and packaging are all fabulous. I really love the colour scheme.

I've never understood the term 'squeaky clean' until I used this shampoo. But, this stuff really does clean your hair. It took me a few washes to get used to the best amount to use though (I've got med to long hair). The bottle says 'apply shampoo generously' but, honestly, don't do it! You'll be a sudsy mess if you do! I found even a small amount went a LONG way. Even though the bottle calls is 'hydrate shampoo' I personally didn't notice much of a difference. I wash my hair daily and only one occasion did I notice it felt a little drier than normal, but this may have been partly due to the weather. I like all things coconut so I was expecting to smell like a hawiian holiday, but the scent was very light. Overall, I'll definitely keep using it, but I'll be using it with its conditioner.

I love coconut products, and golly gosh, this range is just to die for!

The bottle has a flip top lid which is quite secure, and importantly - easy to open when wet!

The shampoo is nice and thick and lathers well. I only wash once, washing twice seems like a waste of product to me. This shampoo rinsed easily and didnt tangle my hair too much.

I tried the shampoo without the conditioner, and although my hair didn't feel as soft as I like, it was still shiny and easy to brush.

Will I buy again? Absolutely! Do I recommend? Heck yes!

This shampoo is amazing my hair has never felt so nice before its easy to apply too. Ive had quite a few comments about my hair. Gives me a confidence boost.
