With my very long, slightly dry and rebellious hair I was excited to be chosen to test out the new range from L'Oreal Paris Botanical range. This is for the shampoo in the range. Shampoo is something of a must in my week, as I wash my hair every second day.
The draw card for me the natural focused ingredients, the lack of parabens and silicons definitely was a great point for me.
As all the range, The packaging is really funky, I really like the colour way- it's natural looking colours and on trend design.
The shampoo comes in large pump bottle. I do like shampoos and conditioners in pumps.
The colour looks white and lotion like. A small amount pumped out and applied to my hair lathers up well. My hair does feel clean and the smell is really pleasant.
I'm normally more of a salon product user, rather than a supermarket. But this is a nice alternative, that is a lot more reasonable.
Overall, it's a really nice shampoo that is nourishing for dry and rebellious hair.
I received a 400ml version of the shampoo and was quite happy with the size, I have quite long hair so this will last me longer than usual shampoos. The product is runny but definitely thicker and creamier than other shampoos I use, it easily lathered up and spread though. The smell is amazing, just like the rest of the range. Minty, with hints of coconut and freshness, left my hair with a lovely scent. I also loved the packaging, much more elegant and upmarket than the conditioning balm. The only thing was that I felt I had to pump so many times to get the amount of product I needed out, this could be because I have long hair so I am used to using heaps of product. After using this and the rest of the range my hair did seem to untangle easier, less frizz and left my hair feeling soft and shiny. I wouldn't repurchase at $17.99 for a 250ml but would consider purchasing the 400ml if it was on a good special.
Tips: Start with a smaller amount than you would usually use with other shampoos as a little goes a long way.
