Creamy and smells amazing

I received a 400ml version of the shampoo and was quite happy with the size, I have quite long hair so this will last me longer than usual shampoos. The product is runny but definitely thicker and creamier than other shampoos I use, it easily lathered up and spread though. The smell is amazing, just like the rest of the range. Minty, with hints of coconut and freshness, left my hair with a lovely scent. I also loved the packaging, much more elegant and upmarket than the conditioning balm. The only thing was that I felt I had to pump so many times to get the amount of product I needed out, this could be because I have long hair so I am used to using heaps of product. After using this and the rest of the range my hair did seem to untangle easier, less frizz and left my hair feeling soft and shiny. I wouldn't repurchase at $17.99 for a 250ml but would consider purchasing the 400ml if it was on a good special.

Tips: Start with a smaller amount than you would usually use with other shampoos as a little goes a long way.

Shampoo for dry hair

With my very long, slightly dry and rebellious hair I was excited to be chosen to test out the new range from L'Oreal Paris Botanical range. This is for the shampoo in the range. Shampoo is something of a must in my week, as I wash my hair every second day.

The draw card for me the natural focused ingredients, the lack of parabens and silicons definitely was a great point for me.

As all the range, The packaging is really funky, I really like the colour way- it's natural looking colours and on trend design.

The shampoo comes in large pump bottle. I do like shampoos and conditioners in pumps.

The colour looks white and lotion like. A small amount pumped out and applied to my hair lathers up well. My hair does feel clean and the smell is really pleasant.

I'm normally more of a salon product user, rather than a supermarket. But this is a nice alternative, that is a lot more reasonable.

Overall, it's a really nice shampoo that is nourishing for dry and rebellious hair.

Lovely shampoo for a supermarket item

I love the packaging, very trendy and stands out on the shelf, very cool colours and design.

Really like the pump, making it easier to handle in the shower. The smell is soooooo good and smells really fresh and almost food like (herby).

I found that I needed to use around 4 pumps of the shampoo even though I have short hair, maybe as it's pretty dry, but I like to get a good lather up :)

Didn't make my hair feel that soft after I washed it out, that's due to dryness I guess but not really a big deal as still had to use the conditioner etc afterwards.

I would use this shampoo again, I like the product, love the smell and the fact that it is fairly natural too.

Tips: Doesn't seem to lather up that much, probably due to being a bit more natural, but don't worry too much as it still works well :)

It's a no from me

Using this shampoo has got me mixed in feelings about it. Just you know I have shoulder length hair and it is coarse. Super dry through winter months! I love the bottle itself as the nozzle can "lock" (now that I have a 1.5yr old Mr who loves to open things and squeeze everything out lol)

At 1st I used 2 pumps.. which ddnt do anything! Didn't spread at all. I washed my hair 3 times to get any real result of getting it going. Super annoying that I had to use so much shampoo. It did however not tangle up like it normally would after shampooing so super pleased with that. Love the scent aswell it's like minty coconut.

All in all wouldn't purchase this shampoo again as I have to use so much for it to do anothing.

Tips: A little does not go a long way

My New Favourite

I was super excited to be chosen for this trial because, 1. I'm always on the look out for the newest and greatest beauty products and; 2. Being that I have hair extensions, I thought my review would be helpful for others out there who also have hair extensions,

First off, being that this shampoo contains no silicone, parabens, and artificial colouring, it means for those who have hair extensions like myself, won't be damaging them as it is all natural products.

My own natural hair is quite dry and typically shampoos will strip A LOT of the natural oils (more than a shampoo should, especially on the extensions), which mean I have to use quite a bit of conditioner to get the moisture back). Not with this stuff. As soon as I had washed the shampoo out of my hair, it was already feeling soft and I felt that I didn't need to use much conditioner at all.

As for the scent, strangely enough to me it had a slightly minty/peppermint smell to it, even though none of the ingredients listed had anything that would relate the product having this scent. Perhaps it was the Safflower. Wherever the smell came from, it gave me a sense that my hair was clean, and it definitely gave me the assurance that it was a natural product as it just smelt, well, natural.

Size and pricewise, 400 mls is pretty decent for $17.99 (Loreal is somewhat expensive in NZ so I think this is a pretty good price). 400mls should last you a decent amount of time.

In short, if you have hair extensions, I highly recommend this shampoo as it doesn't contain any of those nasties that can shorten the lifespan of your hair. For those without hair extensions but who have dry hair, you will love this as well!

Tips: You might need more than the usual amount of shampoo if you like a lather with your wash. You really only need to wash your hair once as well to get it feeling super clean

Salon shampoo

Yes, the packaging looks good, so the bottle looks good sitting in my shower!

I have been using this shampoo for just over a week now, and wash my hair on a daily basis. I have long hair, which has been chemically treated and not in the best condition, so please keep this in mind!

The first time I used the shampoo, my hair felt great, even before I applied conditioner.

you don't need a lot of this shampoo, and it does not produce a huge amount of lather - and it smells devine!!

As the days went on I found that the shampoo did not make my hair feel as soft and tangle free as it did after the first wash.

After each shampoo, I used the matching conditioner and on some days the treatment.

A younger family member with natural (non-chemically treated long hair) also has been using the shampoo and had great tangle free hair on every wash.

Salon experience in the comfort of your own home

Mmmmmmm This stuff is great, i happily trialled the shampoo from the range and I can tell you it was a very pleasant experience.

Let's start with the packaging. Gorgeous autumn colours, so nice in fact I left it out rather then hiding the bottle away which I normally would do. The thought in design is evident and they look great. The shampoo comes complete with a pump which definitely gives it a more luxe feel.

Secondly the smell is devine! To smell from the bottle it smells warm and exotic but once applied to your hair it smells fresh and pepperminty. Contradictory I know, but heaven scent.

The shampoo lathers just the right amount and you don't need a lot of product, but being a pump bottle it does take a few pumps to get your desired amount. After application my hair felt clean and quite nourished, not dry, squeaky or stripped like it does with other shampoos.

I really enjoyed this shampoo and will re purchase.

If you want that salon experience in the comfort of your own home, give the whole range a try, they really are good!

Amazing Hair Products

If youre looking for haircare products that deliver what they promise then look no further. I trialled the Safflower Rich Infusion shampoo, conditioner and softening ointment. From the very first time I used these products I could feel an immediate difference. I have long coloured (blonde) hair and it was immediately softer, shinier and more manageable. I've now been using it for over a week and I'm sold, I will definitely be purchasing this product going forward. I'm willing to pay the extra cost for these type of results. My only negative is the shampoo is 400ml and the conditioner is only 200ml, so I'm going to be using 5-6 bottles of conditioner in the time it takes to go through the shampoo, it would be great if the quantities were reversed.

Tips: If you are using the softening ointment don't apply it to your roots, start about a third of the way down your head through to the ends, as it can make your roots quite oily.

Gently cleansing

I was lucky enough to receive this product, along with the accompanying conditioner and softening balm, from BR. My hair is fine and frizzy, damaged by bleaching, dying and using my straighteners. As such, shampoos that are too harsh leave my hair feeling dry and nasty.

The first time I used this set together I put in too much softening balm, leaving me looking like a little grease ball. I was interested to see how the shampoo would cope at fixing that situation without drying out my hair. I wasn't disappointed - it gently removed the excess product while nourishing my hair so it wasn't left feeling stripped and dry. Used in combination with the other two products it did, indeed, give me softer hair.

The packaging is an easy-to-use pump bottle which I love (seriously, why don't more shampoos do this?). The colour scheme and design look very lush, making my shower feel happy (and that's what's important, right). I've used expensive salon hair products before and while they're good, they're not necessarily better than this - so the price of under $18 is a bargain!

I've only used this a couple of times (I usually wash my hair once a week. Exception made for after I used too much softening balm!), so I can't give an opinion on the long term effect yet, but early results suggest this is a winner for gentle cleansing that leaves soft hair.

Tips: Use as a set (shampoo, conditioner and balm) for the best results.

Smells Devine!!!

I received the Loreal Paris Botanticals Shampoo from BR to trial. The packaging of this shampoo is gorgeous, really eye catching and has that salon look to it but not the big price tag (retail $17.99). Would happily have it displayed in my bathroom for all to see! The pump lid is just fantastic,so convenient & easy to pump just the right amount and not waste any.

The smell is delish - very caramely (my husband and kids tried it too) and we all give it a big thumbs up in the scent department. It lingers in your hair for about 3 days after too.

It foams up quickly and spreads nicely to give long or short hair a really deep clean. For my hair that is bleached blonde, very long and dry I started to notice after I washed out the shampoo my hair was feel stringey and felt a bit crunchy. For my husband and children their hair was super silky soft after washing out the shampoo. After my hair had dried it was tangle free but still quite dry compared to after I would normally wash it with my normal shampoo Personally I don't think I would buy this or recommended it for friends who have heavily bleached hair as it really wasn't nourishing enough for my dry hair...however my husband loves the shampoo and would definitely buy it again for himself and the kids If I was to dye my hair back dark or let my natural hair colour grow out I would most definitely purchase this shampoo to use
