My straw-like dry hair LOVES this!

This arrived this morning (thanks Beauty Review!) along with the matching conditioner and softening ointment. I have just given it a go, and WOW. I have never found a shampoo that did not dry out my hair. Typically I find shampoo dries my hair out, and then the conditioner just helps to normalise it a bit. This shampoo made my hair feel like a conditioner does! SO silky and smooth. I am actually so surprised, I did not think a shampoo would be able to make my hair feel like this. Another plus is the fact that it is not at all heavy. It doesn't feel like I have anything heavier than usual in my hair.

The light florally scent is also so nice. I followed up with the conditioner and the softening ointment after, (the three products have the same scent), and the scent has really lingered, which is a really nice bonus.

If you have dry hair, I cannot recommend this enough. I've only used these products once, but I already know without a doubt that they have made such a difference to my hair, and I will definitely continue using them!

Tips: Use all three products in the range together (the shampoo, conditioner, and softening ointment), for maximum results and to make sure their lovely scent lingers!!

SALON QUALITY

Firstly this range comes in beautiful high end looking packaging - salon quality you could say and would look fab in any bathroom! The scent is a lovely almost minty manly scent, and could certainly be a shared family range that the hubby/partner would be happy to use.

I have a tendency to get oily roots with dry ends (I have colour treated ends - Balayage) and my hair length is just below my shoulders. For best results and a thorough 'clean' feeling, I needed 3 pumps of shampoo and washed twice. I could tell by the lather and after rinsing that it was lovely and clean!

This certainly is salon quality at an affordable supermarket price!

Tips: Shampoo, rinse and repeat before conditioning for best results!

Silky Soft Hair

'My hair was so soft when I washed it I couldn't even feel it' - this was the comment my 7 year old daughter made after using my L'Oreal Paris Botanicals Safflower Rich Infusion Shampoo & conditioner. I have to agree with her as my hair has never felt this soft with my regular shampoo.

We had some trouble working out how to open the shampoo pump but that was more of a user error (should have been wearing my glasses ;-).

I tried different drying techniques to see how it would look and I'm so impressed. After the first wash, I let it dry naturally and I was actually able to leave the house with naturally dried hair that looked half decent. I would never usually leave the house without blowdrying or straightening my hair - or at the very least tying it up as it just sticks out all over the place due to it being dry. After using the botanicals safflower shampoo & conditioner it dried really nicely and sat really well which is unheard of for my hair.

Next up was blow drying, and again, no need to straighten it as it was sitting really well. It looked really soft, silky, shiny and healthy - not the dry lifeless hair I'm accustomed to.

Lastly I blowdried and straightened my hair and it was still so soft, silky and healthy looking after the additional heat treatment. My hair can look a bit like straw sometimes after I've straightened it.

The ointment is also fantastic on both wet and dry hair. I tried the ointment over the weekend on dry hair that had been washed, blowdried and straightened the previous day. It was perfect at smoothing all the fly away hairs, without it looking greasy or unwashed. It actually looked shiny and as if it had been just washed.

We also tried it on wet hair, both my daughter and my own. I felt that it gave some extra protection before blowdrying my hair - definitely less fly away hairs. It was fantastic to use on my daughter's hair as she has long wavy hair which tangles easily. This was fantastic at detangling and leaving her hair looking amazing. All three products smell particularly lovely, as if I've just been to the hairdressers.

Overall we're so impressed with the shampoo, conditioner and ointment that we will definitely be buying this in future. The kids currently have their own shampoo & conditioner but I think I will buy this for all of us in future, or at the very least my daughter and I as it has made a huge improvement for both of us.

Tips: You don't need to use too much of the ointment, especially on dry hair.

Amazing Hair Products

If youre looking for haircare products that deliver what they promise then look no further. I trialled the Safflower Rich Infusion shampoo, conditioner and softening ointment. From the very first time I used these products I could feel an immediate difference. I have long coloured (blonde) hair and it was immediately softer, shinier and more manageable. I've now been using it for over a week and I'm sold, I will definitely be purchasing this product going forward. I'm willing to pay the extra cost for these type of results. My only negative is the shampoo is 400ml and the conditioner is only 200ml, so I'm going to be using 5-6 bottles of conditioner in the time it takes to go through the shampoo, it would be great if the quantities were reversed.

Tips: If you are using the softening ointment don't apply it to your roots, start about a third of the way down your head through to the ends, as it can make your roots quite oily.

Salon experience in the comfort of your own home

Mmmmmmm This stuff is great, i happily trialled the shampoo from the range and I can tell you it was a very pleasant experience.

Let's start with the packaging. Gorgeous autumn colours, so nice in fact I left it out rather then hiding the bottle away which I normally would do. The thought in design is evident and they look great. The shampoo comes complete with a pump which definitely gives it a more luxe feel.

Secondly the smell is devine! To smell from the bottle it smells warm and exotic but once applied to your hair it smells fresh and pepperminty. Contradictory I know, but heaven scent.

The shampoo lathers just the right amount and you don't need a lot of product, but being a pump bottle it does take a few pumps to get your desired amount. After application my hair felt clean and quite nourished, not dry, squeaky or stripped like it does with other shampoos.

I really enjoyed this shampoo and will re purchase.

If you want that salon experience in the comfort of your own home, give the whole range a try, they really are good!

My New Favourite

I was super excited to be chosen for this trial because, 1. I'm always on the look out for the newest and greatest beauty products and; 2. Being that I have hair extensions, I thought my review would be helpful for others out there who also have hair extensions,

First off, being that this shampoo contains no silicone, parabens, and artificial colouring, it means for those who have hair extensions like myself, won't be damaging them as it is all natural products.

My own natural hair is quite dry and typically shampoos will strip A LOT of the natural oils (more than a shampoo should, especially on the extensions), which mean I have to use quite a bit of conditioner to get the moisture back). Not with this stuff. As soon as I had washed the shampoo out of my hair, it was already feeling soft and I felt that I didn't need to use much conditioner at all.

As for the scent, strangely enough to me it had a slightly minty/peppermint smell to it, even though none of the ingredients listed had anything that would relate the product having this scent. Perhaps it was the Safflower. Wherever the smell came from, it gave me a sense that my hair was clean, and it definitely gave me the assurance that it was a natural product as it just smelt, well, natural.

Size and pricewise, 400 mls is pretty decent for $17.99 (Loreal is somewhat expensive in NZ so I think this is a pretty good price). 400mls should last you a decent amount of time.

In short, if you have hair extensions, I highly recommend this shampoo as it doesn't contain any of those nasties that can shorten the lifespan of your hair. For those without hair extensions but who have dry hair, you will love this as well!

Tips: You might need more than the usual amount of shampoo if you like a lather with your wash. You really only need to wash your hair once as well to get it feeling super clean

L'Oréal Botanicals Shampoo

Pump action with a difference! This little beauty arrived as number one in a three part programme, and I couldn't wait to try it, it's gorgeous bottle design complimented by its fresh seasonal colours, simply made my shower look stunning, after looking for "instructions" on how many pumps were recommended and not finding any, I took a guess and applied, the pump action is easy to use, dispenses adequately and was good to grip in a wet shower. The scent was first to hit me, with its refreshing smelt of safflower and hint of mint, it applied effortlessly throughout my hair, non dripping and non greasy made for a pleasant experiance! This product rinsed out easily enough leaving no residual feel. Overall a pleasing experiance!

Tips: Read the lock instructions on the pump before you spend 5 minutes twisting it around and around...

Rich Infusion Shampoo

Out of the products in the Rich Infusion triology, the shampoo was my favourite.

Firstly, the packaging. I received a 400ml bottle of this product. It came in a sturdy bottle with a pump, in autumy colours that matched the other products in the range. I prefer shampoo bottles with pumps, and this one is easy-to-use, and also able to unscrew so you can you use all the product in the bottle. The smell is amazing, like the rest of the line, and, while still being strong, isn't unbearable. The texture is creamy and smooth.

The shampoo claims to restore softness, detangle hair and leave it nourished, and I agree fully that it does all this. With the majority of shampoos I've used (not counting expensive shampoos) I feel like they dry out my already extremely dry hair, but I loved the way this left my hair feeling - soft, nourished, clean and smelling lovely. It does everything I look for in a good shampoo and I definitely recommend for dry hair, especially for the price!

I think the bottle will last my awhile, due to the fact that I only wash my hair about once every three days, but will definitely consider repurchasing once my bottle runs out.

Tips: Overall, a lovely shampoo!!

Gorgeous Shampoo

Of course when I saw this on BR I just had to have it! I managed to pick it up from New World on special for $12.95 which I feel is a much better price than the $17.99 that it usually sells for. It is a huge 400ml bottle with a pump top which I really like. Beautiful packaging, very earthy looking and pleasing to the eye.

It is a very light, creamy consistency and I need about 4 pumps for my long hair. It lathers up very well and definately gives my hair a deep clean. It smells quite minty to me and also musky, I quite like it and the smell lingers for days.

I find the shampoo leaves my hair feeling quite nourished and so clean. It is easy to wash out and my hair isn't a tangled mess afterwards. The bottle is only about a quarter used and I have been using it for nearly 4 weeks so it will last me for ages which is great. I only wish the matching conditioner was the same size.

I would repurchase this but also would love to try the coriander range.

I love this stuff!

I bought this after I finally finished the everpure shampoo I had been using for years and not gonna lie, it was partly because it smells amazing! The pump bottle is really useful as well because when I get home at 3am or 11am from work I don't have to think too hard to wash my hair and I can't confuse the shampoo for the conditioner. It lathers up nicely without stripping the oils out of my hair and left it soft without the horrible itch that comes form a shampoo being too harsh for my scalp. It rinsed clean easily without leaving a residue. Very happy to purchase again despite it being on the more expensive side to my usual purchases.

Tips: I found my fine hair likes conditioner before shampoo which makes it more manageable and less likely to get greasy or weighed down quickly.
