My straw-like dry hair LOVES this!

This arrived this morning (thanks Beauty Review!) along with the matching conditioner and softening ointment. I have just given it a go, and WOW. I have never found a shampoo that did not dry out my hair. Typically I find shampoo dries my hair out, and then the conditioner just helps to normalise it a bit. This shampoo made my hair feel like a conditioner does! SO silky and smooth. I am actually so surprised, I did not think a shampoo would be able to make my hair feel like this. Another plus is the fact that it is not at all heavy. It doesn't feel like I have anything heavier than usual in my hair.

The light florally scent is also so nice. I followed up with the conditioner and the softening ointment after, (the three products have the same scent), and the scent has really lingered, which is a really nice bonus.

If you have dry hair, I cannot recommend this enough. I've only used these products once, but I already know without a doubt that they have made such a difference to my hair, and I will definitely continue using them!

Tips: Use all three products in the range together (the shampoo, conditioner, and softening ointment), for maximum results and to make sure their lovely scent lingers!!

Lovely scent

So this actually arrived on hair washing day today! Great timing. Usually I wash my hair every 3 days (4 if i'm being extra lazy and no dry shampoo).

A little about my hair: It's fine, curly, dry and I tend to use heat styling on it every time it gets washed. So think blow dryer and flat irons to tame it. I tend to expect a lot from my shampoo and conditioners. I don't want my fine hair to be weighed down, but I don't want frizz and I want to be able to run my hands through its lengths and marvel at its softeness...is that too much to ask?!

Anyway onto the actual review. The shampoo has a lovely scent to it and to me didn't actually lather all that much. Which was fine it smelled good enough. My hair felt fairly clean after the first rise (I always cleanse my hair twice because I wash it so infrequently). The conditioner gave it some good slip and my hair actually felt pretty moisturised. I applied a teeny amount of the treatment after and was kind of amazed I could run my wide tooth comb though my hair without running into a tangle like I normally do.

Hair dried and styled it's actually looking pretty shiny and soft. SO say's it smells nice. However! I can feel a teeny tiny amount of something in my hair, and its sitting a bit flatter than usual. Could be how I styled it but I hadn't really changed that technique. Maybe next time i'll skip the treatment and go for my normal styling oil.

Tips: Let the conditoner sit in your hair for a bit while you shave or finish up in the shower. Sinks in and gives it a good amount of slip.

Like salon shampoo at the market

I got this today atthe supermarket wouldn't usually spend $17.99 on a shampoo from the supermarket but I liked the idea that it looked like a professional salon product. I loved the smell lathered up really well and washed out like a dream my hair ( when wet ) felt sleek and and smooth not the usual shampoo Matt feel I have left to air dry and my comb went hhhruhht my hair like a dream !!!

Tips: Nope ! Well yes ! Buy it !!!!

I see you L'Oreal

So as always firstly the packaging is super cute, it gives a high end feel for a "drug store" product. I especially love the pump on the shampoo, it just makes life soooo much easier!! The fragrance for this was really pleasant, very fresh with a slight almost mint background scent. I found the shampoo to do a good job of cleansing my hair and lathered up really well with just one pump, I always do two shampoos to one condition, and this left my hair feeling nice and soft opposed to its normal craziness.

Tips: A little goes a long way

SALON QUALITY

Firstly this range comes in beautiful high end looking packaging - salon quality you could say and would look fab in any bathroom! The scent is a lovely almost minty manly scent, and could certainly be a shared family range that the hubby/partner would be happy to use.

I have a tendency to get oily roots with dry ends (I have colour treated ends - Balayage) and my hair length is just below my shoulders. For best results and a thorough 'clean' feeling, I needed 3 pumps of shampoo and washed twice. I could tell by the lather and after rinsing that it was lovely and clean!

This certainly is salon quality at an affordable supermarket price!

Tips: Shampoo, rinse and repeat before conditioning for best results!

Silky Soft Hair

'My hair was so soft when I washed it I couldn't even feel it' - this was the comment my 7 year old daughter made after using my L'Oreal Paris Botanicals Safflower Rich Infusion Shampoo & conditioner. I have to agree with her as my hair has never felt this soft with my regular shampoo.

We had some trouble working out how to open the shampoo pump but that was more of a user error (should have been wearing my glasses ;-).

I tried different drying techniques to see how it would look and I'm so impressed. After the first wash, I let it dry naturally and I was actually able to leave the house with naturally dried hair that looked half decent. I would never usually leave the house without blowdrying or straightening my hair - or at the very least tying it up as it just sticks out all over the place due to it being dry. After using the botanicals safflower shampoo & conditioner it dried really nicely and sat really well which is unheard of for my hair.

Next up was blow drying, and again, no need to straighten it as it was sitting really well. It looked really soft, silky, shiny and healthy - not the dry lifeless hair I'm accustomed to.

Lastly I blowdried and straightened my hair and it was still so soft, silky and healthy looking after the additional heat treatment. My hair can look a bit like straw sometimes after I've straightened it.

The ointment is also fantastic on both wet and dry hair. I tried the ointment over the weekend on dry hair that had been washed, blowdried and straightened the previous day. It was perfect at smoothing all the fly away hairs, without it looking greasy or unwashed. It actually looked shiny and as if it had been just washed.

We also tried it on wet hair, both my daughter and my own. I felt that it gave some extra protection before blowdrying my hair - definitely less fly away hairs. It was fantastic to use on my daughter's hair as she has long wavy hair which tangles easily. This was fantastic at detangling and leaving her hair looking amazing. All three products smell particularly lovely, as if I've just been to the hairdressers.

Overall we're so impressed with the shampoo, conditioner and ointment that we will definitely be buying this in future. The kids currently have their own shampoo & conditioner but I think I will buy this for all of us in future, or at the very least my daughter and I as it has made a huge improvement for both of us.

Tips: You don't need to use too much of the ointment, especially on dry hair.

Smells Devine!!!

I received the Loreal Paris Botanticals Shampoo from BR to trial. The packaging of this shampoo is gorgeous, really eye catching and has that salon look to it but not the big price tag (retail $17.99). Would happily have it displayed in my bathroom for all to see! The pump lid is just fantastic,so convenient & easy to pump just the right amount and not waste any.

The smell is delish - very caramely (my husband and kids tried it too) and we all give it a big thumbs up in the scent department. It lingers in your hair for about 3 days after too.

It foams up quickly and spreads nicely to give long or short hair a really deep clean. For my hair that is bleached blonde, very long and dry I started to notice after I washed out the shampoo my hair was feel stringey and felt a bit crunchy. For my husband and children their hair was super silky soft after washing out the shampoo. After my hair had dried it was tangle free but still quite dry compared to after I would normally wash it with my normal shampoo Personally I don't think I would buy this or recommended it for friends who have heavily bleached hair as it really wasn't nourishing enough for my dry hair...however my husband loves the shampoo and would definitely buy it again for himself and the kids If I was to dye my hair back dark or let my natural hair colour grow out I would most definitely purchase this shampoo to use

Gently cleansing

I was lucky enough to receive this product, along with the accompanying conditioner and softening balm, from BR. My hair is fine and frizzy, damaged by bleaching, dying and using my straighteners. As such, shampoos that are too harsh leave my hair feeling dry and nasty.

The first time I used this set together I put in too much softening balm, leaving me looking like a little grease ball. I was interested to see how the shampoo would cope at fixing that situation without drying out my hair. I wasn't disappointed - it gently removed the excess product while nourishing my hair so it wasn't left feeling stripped and dry. Used in combination with the other two products it did, indeed, give me softer hair.

The packaging is an easy-to-use pump bottle which I love (seriously, why don't more shampoos do this?). The colour scheme and design look very lush, making my shower feel happy (and that's what's important, right). I've used expensive salon hair products before and while they're good, they're not necessarily better than this - so the price of under $18 is a bargain!

I've only used this a couple of times (I usually wash my hair once a week. Exception made for after I used too much softening balm!), so I can't give an opinion on the long term effect yet, but early results suggest this is a winner for gentle cleansing that leaves soft hair.

Tips: Use as a set (shampoo, conditioner and balm) for the best results.

Amazing Hair Products

If youre looking for haircare products that deliver what they promise then look no further. I trialled the Safflower Rich Infusion shampoo, conditioner and softening ointment. From the very first time I used these products I could feel an immediate difference. I have long coloured (blonde) hair and it was immediately softer, shinier and more manageable. I've now been using it for over a week and I'm sold, I will definitely be purchasing this product going forward. I'm willing to pay the extra cost for these type of results. My only negative is the shampoo is 400ml and the conditioner is only 200ml, so I'm going to be using 5-6 bottles of conditioner in the time it takes to go through the shampoo, it would be great if the quantities were reversed.

Tips: If you are using the softening ointment don't apply it to your roots, start about a third of the way down your head through to the ends, as it can make your roots quite oily.

Salon experience in the comfort of your own home

Mmmmmmm This stuff is great, i happily trialled the shampoo from the range and I can tell you it was a very pleasant experience.

Let's start with the packaging. Gorgeous autumn colours, so nice in fact I left it out rather then hiding the bottle away which I normally would do. The thought in design is evident and they look great. The shampoo comes complete with a pump which definitely gives it a more luxe feel.

Secondly the smell is devine! To smell from the bottle it smells warm and exotic but once applied to your hair it smells fresh and pepperminty. Contradictory I know, but heaven scent.

The shampoo lathers just the right amount and you don't need a lot of product, but being a pump bottle it does take a few pumps to get your desired amount. After application my hair felt clean and quite nourished, not dry, squeaky or stripped like it does with other shampoos.

I really enjoyed this shampoo and will re purchase.

If you want that salon experience in the comfort of your own home, give the whole range a try, they really are good!
