L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Conditioner Review

I always use a salon shampoo and conditioner and was keen to try a supermarket brand to compare. I found it to be good, a little went a long way and it left my hair feeling nice and soft which is good. I have short hair so i wash my hair everyday, otherwise i can't seem to style it! I found the smell pleasant too. I think a nice smell is important! I don't have anything negative to say about this conditioner and i would defiantely use it again. I would recommend to others.

This review is hard to do in regards to separating the shampoo and the conditioner as they both work in conjunction with each other, so in consideration of this I found both the shampoo and the conditioner fantastic, I have many greys and had my hair coloured just prior to receiving these and so far (about 4 weeks later) it still seems to be holding the colour which to me is awesum as normally they would be starting to pop through now. I also found that my hair looked a lot healthier which was also a positive. All in all definitely a product I would use again.

This conditioner may be my new holy grail. No matter what I try, my color always seems to fade quickly after I've had it coloured. This conditioner makes my har feel soft, and super shiny, as well as less frizzy than usual. On top of this it doesn't fade my colour at all! Will definitely be repurchasing.

I tried this Conditioner after just colouring my hair a week earlier. The smell was really nice and it left my hair feeling and looking shiny and healthy. The things I didn't like was the fact that it seemed to be quite thick and I found it quite time consuming it rinse it out thoroughly.

it left my hair feeling beautiful (after I used the shampoo) my colour was brightened after using , smell is ok and I put some in my hair to use as leave in conditioner and it kept my hair from going frizzy so would recommend that to people with frizzy hair :)

I loved how my hair feels after using this conditioner. I used it with the shampoo, but also had days where I just used the conditioner. My hair felt silky and seemed to retain the colour nicely as after two weeks with a new colour it was still nice. Did not seem to fade as quickly as usual! Nice scent to it.

I get bored with shampoo and conditioner on a regular basis, which is why I tend to chop and change quite a bit. I had found a brand I really enjoyed but loved the opportunity to try this shampoo!

It made my hair feel incredible - soft and easy to style. It was hard to tell the effect it had on my colour as it's due to be redone, but it did feel like the colour didn't deteriorate as quickly as it normally would.

I would definitely buy this again and would recommend it to others.

Much like the shampoo I would not recommend this product for people with dyed red hair. Color fades fast and leaves the hair dull and lifeless

I was very excited to receive this Conditioner and Shampoo set as I have been looking for a product to prolong the life of my colour as well as nourish and protect my hair for ages! All of the products I have tried in the past felt like they have stripped the colour from my hair too quickly, leaving me with dull and faded colour, I have not been disappointed here!

First off, I love that this conditioner is not too thick and a little really goes a long way. It leaves my hair feeling so soft and silky and not like it is being weighed down with product. I did battle in the beginning to rinse all of it out but I soon discovered that I just needed to adjust the water pressure on my shower head a little! After doing this I have had no issues with rinsing.

The fragrance is devine, clean and fresh and paired with the shampoo gives my hair such a lovely scent.

With regards to the colour protection / prolonging part, so far I am really happy with the results. My colour has had very little fade and still looks vibrant after two weeks of using these products every second day.

All in all I am really happy with this product and will definitely continue using it!

I was really pleased to be chosen to trial the L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Conditioner.

To begin with I was pleasantly surprised with the scent of the conditioner. It wasn't overpowering and wouldn't compete with the other fragrances you wear by the time you put on your moisturiser, deodorant, perfume etc. The conditioner is light in consistency and I was really pleased to find that you actually don't need to use much to get a great coverage, making it economical. I left the conditioner on for around 3 -4 minutes before rinsing off, although there weren't any instructions on the bottle to do so. The conditioner rinses out easily. The result left my hair feeling soft and manageable.

Post wash all I do to style my hair is use an Argan oil product. I found that the combination of using the L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect Shampoo and Conditioner with the oil makes styling my hair really easy, and what's more it stays in fantastic condition for days, not having to straighten my hair in between washes, so I am really pleased with that result.

The product promises to seal colour, protect hair and prolong radiance. I feel like it delivered on most of those. The first time I used it I was a bit annoyed to see some of my colour in the foam that rinsed off. Each application since has taken a bit more of my colour with it, but to be fair to this product this may be more about the colouring product I used, rather than the shampoo and conditioner. I would need to use a different colour to be able to know for sure, so I wouldn't want to blame the Elvive for this, but still mention it as a possible observation that still needs to be resolved.

At my supermarket the shampoo and conditioner retail for $6.59 each and I think that is excellent value for money for the product, and on that basis I would definitely purchase and use it again.
