Cool as a Coconut

I really enjoyed trying this shampoo as I have natural tendency for oily roots and as my ends have been bleached they can often be dry feeling.

The packaging is sleek and I prefer the new click lids on these bottles versus the old design. The bottle now stands up sturdy in my shower and closed with an audible click so no chance of leaks. I do however miss the signature neon green bottle that was easy to spot on the shelf. The text is clearly written and it's easy to see which variant you are buying. I think the word shampoo should be larger however to distinguish the two bottles more obviously. I don't like that standing the bottle up on the lid means the design is then upside down, but that is more my tendency for order than an issue.

The smell is absolutely delicious, I loved showering with this and made me want to wash my hair daily.

Texture was nice and sleek, the colour is a pearlescent white and it's frothed up really easily.

It definitely cleaned my hair really well without feeling like it stripped my scalp of all the oil leaving it dry and more likely to make more! I even noticed less hair fall during this week :) My ends felt more nourished and very soft! However it didn't seem to help their frizzy nature.

Overall I like this shampoo, it's a good affordable price and i will continue to finish the bottle and see if it improves my hair over more time. I would repurchase this product.

My Hair Loves this

I received the Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Shampoo and Conditioner duo as part of the trial team. The shampoo caters to oily scalp and dry ends and claims to be sulphate and paraben free – Natural products for the win!

Firstly the shampoo is packaged in the standard Garnier green coloured bottle with a flip top for easy opening and closing. Popping the lid open revealed a subtle nice smell, not too strong.

I have dyed hair, so I tend to suffer from oily roots and dry ends. Receiving this product seemed like a God send. Using a small dollop of shampoo, I was easily able to lather up my mid length hair. I only washed and rinsed my hair once, you don’t want to strip away all the natural oils anyway and my hair wasn’t that oily.

Once my hair was dry, I did notice that my ends seemed a lot more ‘refreshed’, looked less dry and felt clean – which is always the goal after washing hair.

I wanted to see how long this would keep my hair from looking oily and to be honest it was 2 days – better than other products I have used in the past.

I’m glad this product is in the Garnier range and would defs repurchase.

Tips: Wash out with cold water, twice if need be and apply conditioner to the ends right after

Au Fait with Garnier? Coconut water shampoo

Garnier used to be made in France but is now made in India so the French name's now somewhat obscure...it's made by Loreal a French brand. I thought the colour of the packaging was nice, I liked that it's made from recycled materials. It didn't smell like coconut at all seemed like a watermelon smell. The shampoo did make my scalp less oily but I seemed to get a bit of dandruff I put it down to the chemicals as it does have a lot of harsh chemicals in. Which is probably due to it being a cheap supermarket shampoo. I think nothing beats an organic natural shampoo and it's worth the money. You get what you pay for. I liked the silicon and parable free ingredients which not many people know but silicon can cause bleached hair to break when coloured and coats the hair to make it shiny so is like plastic coating your hair.

Tips: Two shampoos gives a really deep clean and use half the shampoo for each wash

Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Shampoo

Garnier Fructis Coconut Water Shampoo had already won me over due to its silicon and paraben free formula and I was also happy to find that it did indeed work for my hair. The shampoo comes in a nice little bottle that dispenses well. The shampoo smells great and lathers well. It was easy to apply and rinse off and I could tell that it was nicely cleaning my hair and scalp without drying either out. Hair felt nice and silky after rinse and even before applying the conditioner. I was able to go two days without washing my hair without feeling weighed down and grease built up on scalp. My hair definitely felt soft, fresh and nicely cleansed.

Great smell

Loved this shampoo smell! Was expecting more of a coconut smell but pleastantly surprised it was more citrusy. This gives a great lather as well which feels like a good clean. My hair does seem less oily than normal which I am pretty happy about! Would still need to wash it every other day though

Tips: Don't think you need to use too much of the shampoo to get a good clean/lather

Good option for a silicone free shampoo

Overall I thought this was a pretty decent shampoo. I have quite oily hair and it'll usually need a wash on the second day. I thought this shampoo had a funny smell at first but I actually quite liked it as it's quite fruity. The smell does actually linger on till the next day but not as much as I like. The positives of this shampoo is definitely being silicone and paraben free as excess build up of silicone can make your hair more oily, so going silicone free is definitely a good change to make in your hair products. I think it did a pretty good job at washing and my hair definitely felt nice straight afterwards and the day after. One thing I found quite odd was that it wasn't as sudsy as a would've liked and I did feel like I had to use a bit more compared to other shampoos. I'd say it's probably not as good as other shampoos out there but it's a good option if you have oily hair and need a bit of lifting at the ends.

Favourite of the 2!

I was lucky enough to receive this range to trial. The packaging is great - I love the vibrant green, that just looks clean and appealing. I also like the eco-friendly packaging and the lid opens well with wet hands in the shower and closes securely.

It smells fruity, and lathers well. I like the shampoo the most because I feel it give my hair a really good clean! Especially since my roots are often quite oily. It just leaves my hair clean, soft and feeling amazing! I did follow it up with the conditioner on a couple days, but I feel that the conditioner didn't do much when I used just the shampoo alone.

Overall, I would repurchase the shampoo again! For the price, it's a bargain, and is pretty much suitable for everyone because my family uses it too and love it.

Fructis Shampoo

I was looking forward to trialling this product as my hair is always a bit of an issue for me. I have lily roots, and dry ends. Most hydrating products leave my hair limp and oily, and anything that I use to combate the oil ends up drying my hair out. I like the packaging of this product, it looks fresh and vibrant. The product itself lathers up quite a lot and appears to clean the hair sufficiently, although I do sometimes have to shampoo my hair twice to get all of the styling product out. This item is supposed to contain coconut water and I expected it to be more coconut frangrant yet it had the usual fructis scent. It certainly removed the oil and for the price, does a pretty good job. I will buy it again as I like the price.

Tips: Shampoo twice to remove any build up of styling products or oil

Love!

Really love the natural colour and images of the packaging that this shampoo come in. Garnier Fructis always produce products with amazing smells and this one is no exception, it smells fruity and natural. It has an amazing lather that really feels like it is cleaning my hair and really getting rid of all those excess oils and It washes out easily. I noticed the next day that my hair had a lot more ‘body’ than it usually would also. My hair lasted 4 days without needing a wash, whereas before I could only go two. I would defiantly purchase this product in future. It does exactly what it says it will!!

Tips: Use a minimal amount - it lathers really well so you dont need to use too much

Affordable and Effective

Garnier's new Coconut Water Shampoo is paraben and silicone free. It claims to cleanse, rebalance and purify the scalp and result in rebalaced hair with a clean scalp and hydrated ends that are not weighed down. So what were my impressions?

Let's start from the outside in. From the outside the packaging tells you what the product aims to achieve and puts forward the concept of Garnier being recycle friendly. The bottle itself is a standard shampoo bottle, which means I instantly get more shampoo than I need when I use the bottle. But it could be worse.

The product inside smells fruity which suggests to me that more fragrance is used than in perhaps needed.I expected it to have more of a coconut scent, given how coconut water is highlighted on the label.

In terms of effect, my roots feel clean and oil free for about 3 days. Which is fairly standard for my hair with a good shampoo. I'm not convinced that my scalp has been purified. But it is certainly clean. The top of my hair feels hydrated enough, but those dry ends are still there.

All in all I like the shampoo and it is an affordable option I would consider using again.

Tips: A serum to hydrate the ends is needed for dry ends along with the shampoo and conditioner.
