Clean and soft - no dross

I bought this white grapefruit and mint conditioner with the shampoo from Countdown ages ago and don’t remember how much it cost.

It comes in a white plastic bottle with the flip top on the bottom, and has the standard Clairol branding.

The product is a thick white cream. It has the same spearminty-menthol scent as the shampoo.

I find I don’t need a lot of it to do the job, and it has lasted well. I smooth it through from the top of my head to the ends of my hair and leave it in for a few minutes, then rinse. My hair feels soft and light afterwards.

I like that it doesn’t have any parabens or colourants – less is better!!

I think it is a very good product for a simple supermarket brand, and I will buy it again.

Soft, silky hair

I have been using Herbal Essences for years and when I saw this, thought I would try it out. The smell is lovely and seems to linger in my hair for a couple of days. The conditioner does seem to feel a bit lighter and doesn't seem to leave a heavy build up. The formula is really soft. it is a bit more expensive than most of the other shampoos/conditioners within the range but its totally worth it as you will really feel the difference.

The lack of build-up afterwards is a real win i reckon!

Great in conjunction with the shampoo

I picked up a few 40 ml samples of the shampoo and conditioner in this range recently and have been using them on and off.

The packaging fits the 'naked' concept, being quite sheer and simple, with green accents and white lid on the conditioner. They are loud and proud about the product being free of silicone and dyes, which is nice.

The conditioner is white, and clean smelling, with mint being the predominant scent and an underlying note of something citrusy. (Apparently it's grapefruit but I'd never have picked that). The scent is softer and creamier in the conditioner than in the shampoo, as it should be.

Proceed as normal as for any conditioner and you'll notice that this one is nice and light but still creamy and hydrating. It washes cleanly from hair leaving it feeling soft, and rebalanced after the slightly harsher shampoo.

My hair is quite fine, and I wash it daily, and I do find that post shampoo my hair feels a bit dry and 'too clean' but the conditioner seems to rebalance it nicely - I feel like the duo work well together.

I prefer the conditioner to the shampoo in this range, and would be keen to try the conditioner with other shampoos that were less drying to see if it yielded an even better result. I like how light it is while still being creamy and hydrating.

Naked Volume

Much happier when using matching products, I purchased this to test along with the shampoo. After the squeaky clean feeling of the shampoo, this conditioner does a lovely job of making my hair soft and comb-able. It is quite creamy, and the grapefruit and mint scent is gorgeous. Overall I don't find this or the shampoo really make any difference in the illusion of volume for my hair, it looks nice on the day of washing but extra flat and ick on the next day. Simply used for cleanliness though, this duo are great.

Herbal Essences Naked Volume

I bought this conditioner along with the shampoo in this range and I love it!

Not a large amount of conditioner is required...I found that a bottle would last me over two weeks and I have past shoulder length hair that I wash every night.

The mint oil is very distinct and smells amazing! A real clean fresh feeling afterwards, and silky smooth hair!

I have quite curly hair and straight after washing with this conditioner I can easily put a comb straight through my hair

Essences Naked Volume Conditioner

I have been using this conditioner for a month or so, and I have been happy with the results so far. I have very fine, heat damaged and coloured hair. As you can imagine, it's not in the greatest of condition and often looks simultaneously limp and frazzled. I have found this does a nice job of keeping my hair looking sleek but without weighing it down like other conditioners can. There's only really so much that a product can do to give me the optical illusion of volume, but I'm pretty happy with the results of this one for the price. The minty grapefruit fragrance is divine and sticks around for a while, so I really do look forward to using this one in the morning. I also appreciate that the bottle is transparent so you can tell how much you have left. I have not yet tried this in conjunction with the shampoo (as like most people, I go through waaay more conditioner than shampoo), but as soon as my regular shampoo runs out I think I'll be giving it a go in this variant.
