Not a huge fan

I lovingly received this as a gift and feel blessed that I got to try it as I love my dry shampoos. Unfortunately this relationship wasn't to last long as I didn't like it at all (super sorry). The one thing I did like was the smell, I can't really explain the fragrance but I would say it was a floral type fragrance. It was easy to use however I didn't find it helped give me hair a boost in between washes. It actually left my hair feeling more greasy than less greasy, perhaps I used too much? Definitely not a fan I'm afraid but glad I got to try a different brand to compare my Batiste with.

Polished London Bristol Bloom Dry Shampoo

I received this product from a violet box and I absolutely adore it.

I recently ran out of my holy grail dry shampoo which is batiste and I had this one in the cupboard and saw that I had this one hiding away.

I get quite oily hair and found that this dry shampoo managed to make it look clean and gave it amazing volume. I love the scent of the pink one and I love how it doesn't give your hair a white cast like the batiste one has.

It does have quite a strong pressured spray so do stand back

Disliked from the get go

It was my first time using a dry shampoo and I'm usually not one to dislike a product so quick, as i did this one. The smell has such an overpowering floral scent and its just not me, but i though it could look past it and just continue to use it. Well I shortly stopped after a couple of uses. why you ask? It didn't do its job. I was still left oily during the day and had to just wash it out anyways as it was eh.. I had heard it was better to use it before bed at night as it then has all night to soak up some of the oil.. Again it didn't.

I hate to bag on a product that just needs some slight improvements, then maybe it could be better, but im sorry to say i went out and brought Batiste, it cost more, but its overall better.

This is not good!

I have super oily hair. I wash my hair everyday if i have somewhere to go. On my off days I will use dry shampoo (going somewhere unimportant). I usually use Batiste but I saw this at the pharmacy and the packaging got me. After spraying this through my hair and brushing it out, my hair was not "refreshed" it still looked limp and oily. I ended up just washing my hair cause it was that bad. After a few more go's I gave up on this and did not finish the product; went back and purchased my usual. Did I get a bad one or what...?

Seen better, Used better.

I recall buying this one instead of my normal Batiste as it was cheaper. ($12 instead of Batiste which is about $18-20 at Farmers) I was a bit vary as it is a brand I've never heard of, but I gave it a go.

It has a very sweet, florally smell however it is a little too sweet and artificial for my taste in terms of a dry shampoo. It was almost too overpowering - much stronger than my perfume and I found that the scent followed me all day. If you like a strong smell then that's great. But I find it very annoying when I can only smell my hair. Especially when it is such an artificial scent.

While it does as it says it will, I find that it is no where as good as Batiste dry shampoo is. I found that I had to spray more than I normally would to get a decent amount of product on my hair in order to get rid of the oily bits, and by more, I mean A LOT more. Which is probably why my bottle ran out very quickly. Say within 3-4 weeks.

Whenever I use dry shampoo, it gives me another 2 to 4 days of clean before I have to wash it, however with this brand, I found that it only lasted me about half a day, before I noticed large flakes and dandruff like pieces between my hair. Not a good look, especially if you have dark black hair.

However I liked that the powder that it sprayed out wasn't as opaque as my Batiste dry shampoo is. This was good as it very little effort to massage it in and brush it out for it too look like there was nothing in my hair.

Tips: I recommend this product to have in your handbag for emergencies, It's small convenient size is perfect. I also don't recommend that you use this as your regular dry shampoo. Definitely purchase one of better quality and use this on the go when you absolutely have to.

London Bristol bloom dry Shampoo

My friend is in love with dry shampoo so when we saw this new one on the shelf we had to try it. The smell is amazing, so nice it does smell like a lot of flowers. It works well making your hair look less oily but is kind of a one off as in don't use it every other day because your hair almost gets use to it. I'd say its good for emergency.

Tips: Spray far away from your head and mix it through your hair well otherwise you get white marks

Polished London Dry Shampoo

I was in desperate need of some dry shampoo and I finally found some in my local chemist. I have fine hair which gets oily easily, so dry shampoo is a must have for me. I found this reasonably priced at around $10. The packaging was pretty and it has a nice scent. It did an ok job of keeping the oils at bay, but I still find the V05 dry shampoo to be much more effective. I don't feel it has much of a volumising effect either.

A life saver for last minute situations

I've never really dabbled in the dry shampoo thing - but have been very keen, so I was stoked to see I had a chance to try this out.

I'm in quite a bust role and I have thick long hair - so washing my hair on a regular basis can be quite an ordeal, just with the hours I work etc.

So this is a life saver in that sense. But because I have quite thick hair - i wouldn't consider it as apart of my "routine" probably more for like emergency situations etc. Have it in your hand bag - quick spray before you meet up with someone etc.

The smell is great, and a bit powdery when sprayed - could be an issue for the brunettes etc (I have dark hair and I found that if I sprayed quite a bit it made my hair look a bit dull. Could be a good thing if you are having an oily hair day though.)

It did make my hair feel really soft.

Another reason why I wouldn't make it apart of my routine is that it did aggravate my scalp and cause some dandruff, but in saying that I cannot really use too many products because I am easily prone to dandruff.

So all in all - for the price, its a great little thing to have for last minute touch ups etc. It smells great, and leaves your hair soft and oil free.

I just personally wouldn't use it all the time for the concern of dandruff and dull hair.

Tips: If you have dark hair - do not spray too much in one go.

Polished London bloom dry shampo

I was quite impressed with this little guy was like a normal dry shampo how it sprayed, although I found the smell quite potent I kid you not smelt a lot like tequila but I don't feel the smell lingered although it sprayed white it didn't stay white long I feel it did what a dry shampoo is suppose to deliver so would definitely say go out and dry it and from why I've seen affordable to.

Tips: No other tips spray like you would a dry shampo then just massage in :)

Polished London Bristol Bloom Dry Shampoo

I'd been wanting to try dry shampoo for a while so I was very excited to receive the Polished London dry shampoo to review. My hair is chin length, dark, fine and dead straight, and I tend to get oily roots by the end of the day. I wondered whether this would be a way to be able to give it a quick boost.

Before I tried it the first time I had a look at the ingredients. This scared the bejeezus out of me. This stuff comes with a warning that it is EXTREMELY FLAMMABLE. The primary ingredients, those that provide the propellant, are butane, isobutane and propane. Hello, thats Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG). Yikes! It did a good job of getting the product out of the can - it came out at a great rate of knots, about a billion times the speed of hairspray which makde it hard to focus the spray just at my roots. It went everywhere.

The main active ingredient is maize starch, a really fine absorbent powder that, along with a few other ingredients, bulks up to pull dirt and oils from the hair. A few other ingredients provide detangling and conditioning properties and fragrance. A brief word of warning, two ingredients, linalool and hexl cinnamal, can be problematic for those with sensitive skin or allergies, so do a skin test at least 12 hours before trying it for the first time. I didn't have any problems myself.

I found the main problem with the product that it was hard to control and so I always ended up with more than I wanted on my hair. I tried spraying it into the palm of my hand to run it through my hair that way but the isobutane, which is also a refridgerant, froze my hand for a minute instead. This was not dangerous (although it can be if inhaled - please keep it out of the reach of those who might do that sort of thing), but a bit freaky! It did make my hair feel clean and smooth again for a while but, because my hair is very fine and straight, it eventually left it feeling greasy again. The powder dulled the shine of my hair too. The Bristol Bloom fragrance was very nice, not overpowering and not chemically. I would guess that this is a pretty inexpensive brand. The packaging is a bit cheap and dated looking.

Overall, while grateful to have had the chance to try this product I wasn't overly impressed with it. Its just a bit too hard to use to get a good result and its still a bit scary.

Tips: Try to be very sparing with the product, spray in very short and light bursts. Once sprayed, leave it for a minute or two and then comb or brush it through thoroughly. If you can still see product, wrap a hand or hairprush with toilet paper and run it though your hair to try to pull it out.
