Herbal Essences Honey I'm Strong Shampoo Review

I bought this at it was on sale, and overall I've never had a problem with Herbal Essences, they are a trusted brand for me when I dont want to spend lots of money. For that price its a bargain. I don't feel like it wowed me at all, you get what you pay for. A basic, yummmmmmmmy smelling product that washes your hair well.

Golden and creamy, this shampoo claims to make hair stronger in one wash! My hair is silver and gold, wavy, just below shoulder length and fine. It can tend to feel dry and brittle, but this shampoo is so moisturising, that my hair feels clean and nourished. After using, my hair feels soft and stronger, so I guess the claim is well made. Not particularly honey scented, I smell vanilla and mild coconut sweetness, but it is unobtrusive. Will definitely repurchase.

I like the packaging this comes in, fun and bright. The shampoo is a good standard shampoo for a very decent price. My hair seems to like it, coming out of a wash clean and shiny. This shampoo leaves your scalp feeling clean and free of oil whilst not dry. Unsure about the strength claims, that's very hard to judge. My hair is currently coloured and has been bleached. This shampoo paired with the conditioner leaves my hair in good healthy condition.

a creamy looking shampoo with a sweet scent I like the idea of having honey in this as I do know honey is very good for you the claim of 10x stronger in one wash is not true though but I love this line of products what I do not like is they are always over priced however they always smell soo good and you do not need to use a heck of a lot at a time to get a good result you do not want to use too much as it can dry your hair I think these have high laurel sulphate content so they foam up super easy but can strip the hair on the plus the conditioners seem nice and rich so they can be vaulue for money in the sense that you would use less shampoo to get a good lather and less conditioner to get good results this smells yummy yet it is not over powering the shampoo bottle has grip on the sides and the curve in the bottle makes it unique I would like to give this another go at some stage but the other scents from this line are also great so this one probabbly would not be the top choice as I tend to buy what I love the scent of most. I do wonder the quality of the honey and amount that is actually used in this too and the 10x claim I bet would be with using the whole range say a mask and serum

Before I get into my review, il tell you my hair is very long, and very thick, with a tendency to be slightly frizzy, and a sensitive scalp.

So after hearing the amazing things about this shampoo, I knew I had to try it! I managed to get in on special for $3.99 so had nothing to lose, and with all the great reviews and everyone raving about it, I thought for sure this was the bargain on my week!!

So the bottle is not hard to spot, and even in an beauty aisle in a supermarket, its easy to see being yellow, bright and vibrant so its pretty hard to walk past. The design is similar to all the other herbal essences shampoos and conditioners, but the colour is nice!! It has the same green lid as the others too. The bottle has a nice curve to it, so it easy to hold in the shower with wet hands. Additionally, the bottle has slight raised circles on it which makes it less likely to slip out of your hands. The gap for the product to be released is quite small so it’s hard to squeeze out too much product, which is great because I don’t think I’m the only one who over estimates how hard to squeeze the bottle and lose half my handful of shampoo down the drain.

Now to the golden elixir that comes from this bottle. Its yellow in colour, a beautiful consistency, and has a luminous sheen to it. But wait for it.. it’s the smell that just makes this product delicious. When I first smelt it, it smelt like a mix of vanilla with a touch of lollies but its not sickly sweet, it just a nice hint of sweetness. That’s the best way I can describe it. It lathers well, and gets my hair nice and clean. Also after repetitive use, I found the amount of hair I lost in the shower had decreased!

But here is where we have to go our separate ways. This shampoo is actually lovely, but my scalp does not like it. I did not really notice a problem to begin with, but after switching to this product completely, my scalp began to get really dry, and flaky! And I mean flaky, it was like it was a snow globe! In saying that, my scalp can be a little madam sometimes and can be quite sensitive to some products, whether it should be or not!

Even though my scalp did not agree with this product, I really do recommend it to other to try as i enjoyed everything about the product, except for how my scalp reacted to it!! Also would love to know if anyone gets the same results that I did!

This smells so good! I really like this shampoo. The bottle is so cute! And this lasts for ages! Well worth the price.

I decided to try this out when my hair was feeling brittle. This shampoo made my hair 10x stronger and it definatly did the job. But it left my hair feeling like straw after using it but when I applied the conditioner that disappeared. The only other downfall is that it did make my hair fall out unfortunately.

I purchased the Honey I'm Strong range on the back of a fellow BR's recommendation and I couldn't be happier. I purchase this from our local Countdown and they often have it on special for under $5 so it's a bargain. I love the packaging, the golden colour is beautiful and the description along with the storylines are so quirky and cute. A little goes a long way with the shampoo, the product is really thick and creamy and lathers beautifully. The best thing is that it cleans away all of the grime and product but it doesn't strip your hair and leave it 'squeaky' like some other shampoos do. I've been using this for over 2 months now and still love it! My hair feels amazing, I have a lot less breakage and the smell is divine!

A seriously good squeaky clean finish, I use Herbal essences if its on sale at the supermarket. Not only are the scents unique and smell fab, I find no other shampoo takes away yucky remnants of the day, but the conditioner restores some moisture, without making you feel like it needs a clean again. Trusted brand for me.

I bought this shampoo and conditioner set after a friend recommended it to me and it is absolutely incredible! So incredible that I would recommend it to anyone based on the in shower experience alone.

First off, the packaging is really lovely. The perfect golden colour to represent honey and the green compliments it well. I love bright packaging in the shower to cheer me up and this does exactly that!

The shampoo itself comes out a lovely golden colour as well and it is really soft and massages into the hair easily. It creates a good foam in the hair so if you're into shampoos that foam up then this would be good for you. Once rinsed it leaves the hair feeling lovely and clean but also really nourished..not too squeaky clean.

The smell of this product is what gets me though - it is DIVINE! It makes showering so relaxing and it even lingers in your hair for a while after,which I love. I have been raving to everyone about this product and the fact that its a supermarket brand makes it all the better. Highly recommend trying this one out.

I bought this product on the strength of Plumpies review. It sounded like just the shampoo I was looking for and it didn't disappoint. It looks classy in the bottle and smells delicious. I bought the conditioner too, and between the two my hair is looking better than it has in a while. It smells wonderful too. The only minor issue I have is with the bottle. I have to push really hard to get it open and I'm a fairly husky wench. A small price to pay though as the shampoo is worth fighting for.
