This product claims to help hair become stronger after just one use! My hair is silver and gold, just below shoulder length, wavy and fine. I can report that it lives up to its claims. A mustardy yellow colour, it doesn't smell as honeyish as i thought it would, but the scent is pleasant and unobtrusive. I use a small amount, apply to my lengths and rinse straight away. My hair feels soft and well moisturised which makes it feel less brittle, and so stronger.

Tips: Use with matching shampoo
I would recommend this conditioner to anyone. It's thick and creamy, smells delicious and my hair absolutely loves it-it makes it super soft and easy to manage, and the smell lasts all day. I also really like how the packaging, and the actual product, is the colour of honey...I wonder if it was designed that way on purpose? (That's a joke haha)
Tips: Apply generously
I can't say I have noticed strength difference but that's hard to judge. I can say it is a nice standard conditioner, leaves your hair shiny and looking healthy, detangles and nourished your hair. I like the bottle, fun and bright. This is a good product for a very decent price.
I was super excited to try this conditioner after reading some of the reviews, and having had good experiences in the past with this brand. I'd also picked up the Lush honey shampoo bar and the part of my brain that likes cute matchy matchy sets was taken with the honey combo.
Herbal Essences 'Honey, I'm Strong' Conditioner comes in the standard bottle for the range - a curved, brightly coloured plastic bottle with a base-mounted flip-cap dispenser. It's a funky bottle that looks great in the shower caddy. This particular range is a 'bright honey colour' - more of a bronzey gold colour than a true yellow, but very reminiscent of good honey in colour. The conditioner itself is also a dark honey colour, with a 'typical' conditioner scent with honey overtones. It's not super sweet, or strong scent-wise, but it's there. The conditioner is of standard thickness - fluid enough to be dispensed by squeezing the bottle, and easy to distribute through hair, but thick enough to stay where it's put.
This conditioner is adequate. Admittedly it's not right for me, which is where the break up message in the title comes in - a real 'it's not you! it's me!' scenario. My hair is bleached to ombre and dyed every couple weeks, plus dried, straightened and curled regularly, and it needs more than this conditioner can offer.
For a supermarket cheapie it does a great job of offering strength and shine to hair, but not at a consistently solid enough level compared to others i've tried to make it be a staple, must-get for me.
If your hair is less abused than mine then this could well work for you - like I say, I like it, it's just that my hair needs a lil bit MORE :)
My hair type: short neck length, very frizzy and curly, coarse texture when wet and after shampooing. Scent: hint of honey/sweet, not a potent scent. Consistency: creamy and not too thick. Application: hair instantly feels really soft and manageable.
I have been using the conditioner for 2 weeks now and I absolutely swear by this conditioner. It honestly makes your hair smooth, nourished and moisturized. My scalp is quite sensitive and very dry at the moment, therefore I use head and shoulders for now. Ladies with curly/frizzy and unmanageable hair, go ahead and try this. You do not need to apply a large amount and your is so smooth that you can finger detangle it! Which means less breakage.
Hope this was helpful :)
I tried this conditioner out a few months ago and have finished the bottle just recently. I have straight black hair, that is sort of thick and I have a lot of it. Overall the conditioner has a nice gentle smell and thick-ish creamy consistency. I think its a good basic conditioner that is affordable from the supermarket, it leaves my hair nicely moisturised and soft. One thing I really hated was the packaging. As the product was starting to run out, the bottle was very hard to squeeze the remaining conditioner, either the plastic was just really hard and made it difficult to get the last bits of the product. To be honest I probably won't buy the product again just because of the packaging !
Smells good, made my hair smooth and shiny, really affordable, I would get this or any other one from the herbal essences range again, they have great conditioners for cheap :)
I've got frizzy, curly, dry hair and finding the right product to give it moisture is a bit of a mission. I'd heard good things about this conditioner so I decided to give it a go, and I love it! Not only does it smell incredible, but it leaves your hair feeling and looking shinier and healthier immediately. I let my hair air dry, and the conditioner makes it dry smooth and frizz-free. It is quite thick so you have to make sure you give your scalp a good rub and get all of it out when you're washing your hair though.
Before I get into my review, il tell you my hair is very long, and very thick, with a tendency to be slightly frizzy, and a sensitive scalp.
I brought this product and the matching shampoo after hearing amazing things about both products, and managed to get this for 3.99 from countdown! I was so excited to try this product, especially as I tend to be a girl who goes for the shampoo and conditioners from salon brands versus supermarket brands, but as a student I realised it was time I got real and chose something more within my budget, so the hype around this product was perfect timing for my new.. more realistic budget.
I love the packaging. It made it so easy to spot this product amongst the rows of other shampoos and conditioners, aswell as looking awesome in my shower amongst an otherwise pretty boring range of packaging! The design on the product continues on a positive note, with the bottle has a sleek curve to it, making it so easy to hold and use in the shower, with extra non-slip designs evident on the sides on the bottle (Atleast.. I think that’s what they are). The product has a lid the pops up, well the opposite side pops down, and there is a small hole which the product is released from which makes it easy to release just the right amount of product, so not much wastage here.
The product itself reminds me of a really thick custard, and it smells like one too! Well.. not really! But it does smells delicious. A little goes a long way, and it makes the shower smell amazing as well as my hair.
So results.. I did notice less hair fall in the shower so I assume that’s because this product (in conjunction with the shampoo) was making my hair stronger. However my hair did not look as shiny as it normally does, and this product slightly dried out my ends. If you read my review on the shampoo, you would see I had a similar experience with my hair and scalp being dryer. So it seems like this product is just not the right one for me, even though I wanted to love it!
This product clearly wasnt right for my hair type, but i would still mention the product to friend as it seems people have had some really great experiences with it!!
I just love the naughty perfumey scents of Herbal Essense hair products... They smell good.. They look good.. So when i saw this one in the supermarket i decided to give it a try. Yip.. yip.. not too bad. It’s a nice creamy, thick conditioner with a nice sweetish scent... not the typical strong natural honey smell you would find in a lot of soaps.
As soon as i washed the conditioner out of my hair.. My hair felt nice, strong and silky-smooth.. The next day my hair felt not dead straight but soft and alive.. with a bit of smoothness.. and a bit of volume which i like. Athough my hair felt soft and happy, my hair didn’t feel as silky-smooth as it initially felt it on the night i washed my hair.
Overall.. i think it’s not a bad conditioner.. but i do prefer to enjoy a bit more smooth n silkiness the next day.
