L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Purple Regime Reviews

If you are a brunette that likes to be blonde then this a staple you should have! I find after a few weeks my blonde starts to go a yellow tone as I have heavy bronze undertones in my hair. This product when used together works super quick and doesn’t leave your hair feeling dried out. I found I only needed a small amount and didn’t need to leave it for 10+ minutes as I have found with other brands to work. My hair feels super soft and smooth and the smell of the product is amazing too.

I was pleasantly surprised by both the shampoo and conditioner. Pros -They both smelled great, -cute purple bottle (which would be easy to spot on supermarket shelves) -affordable - hair feels lovely and weightless after the first wash - does what it claims and reduces brassiness

Cons - I tend to only add either a shampoo or conditioner to my hair regime so personally I wouldn’t buy both to add to my routine. I may try the shampoo without the conditioner to see if I can get the same results - not dramatic results in reducing brassiness although I’m comparing it to Kevin Murphy’s range so this is a good affordable alternative - only available at New World and Chemist Warehouse, I shop at Countdown so hopefully they expand where it will be available

Great and affordable option. Smells fantastic and leaves hair smelling fragrant throughout the day.

Both are a nice texture and are easy to get through your hair. Hair feels moisturised after use, some brands leave hair feeling quite dry.

Wasn’t a big difference in my brassy tones but there was a slight effect and with regular use I’m confident it will show fantastic results. Would defiantly continue to use as a much cheaper option than the fanola brand I currently use.

Loved the purple bottles so will be easy to find, I’ve struggled to find a purple shampoo in the supermarket every time I’ve looked. Am very pleased to be able to purchase this in store.

My first impressions were that the bottles were, well, tiny. But the shampoo is 200ml so it's not that small. At 150ml the conditioner is not going to last me long. When will shampoo companies learn - no matter what you tell us, we're always going to use more conditioner!!

Both products smell pleasant - its not an identifiable smell, neither fruity, nor fresh. Just standard hair care.

The shampoo is fantastic. For starters it lathers well , a rarity with toning shampoos! And it doesn't knot my hair while I'm using it! The deep violet really does remove unwanted yellow tones.

The conditioner. Hmm. I think calling it a purple conditioner is a bit of a stretch - it's pale lilac, and would I think only offer the slightest of toning to already toned hair.

BUT. The conditioner is also probably the best supermarket conditioner I've ever used! My hair was instantly soft and silky. And I mean instantly, literally within seconds of applying it, my hair felt noticeably different.

After using both products my bleached hair is easy to style and left shiny, soft and frizz free, with no yellow in sight!

I enjoy using purple shampoos because, if they are done well they give your tired locks a wee boost. This Shampoo & conditioner from L'Oreal seriously surprised me. I liked the finish, freshness and neutralised tone that it gave my dyed blonde (but naturally brunette) hair. I followed wait-time on the bottles and was pleased to find that not only did the products work for the purpose of brightening hair they also did a good job of washing my hair too. I will definitely be re-buying these products when I run out!

These L'Oreal products are great. I have white hair with a slight residue of grey underneath. I'm not outside a lot at this time of year, but it is still inclined to a bit of yellowing, which I really don't like.

This combination of shampoo and conditioner have really helped with the yellowing. The shampoo cleans my hair, removes the brassiness and leaves a nice ashy tone. Then the conditioner works to soften and clean my hair without removing the ash tone. After using them my hair looks nice and ashy, and clean and soft. It is still easy to manage with no flyaways.

Individually the products each do what they say they'll do and together they leave a lovely result.

I'm not sure of the cost of them but it only requires a small amount of each product to get a great result, and they are recommended only for weekly use, so the product will last a long time. I think it is a great regime and I highly recommend it. I will certainly continue to use these products.

I only had my hair coloured last week (cool light blonde) so I wasn't expecting much from this product so soon after having it highlighted. My hair isn't really brassy at the moment but it does get brassy over time if I don't keep on top of it with purple shampoo and conditioner. But even though I had only just had it coloured I was still impressed by these products - after one use the lightest blonde hairs had gone even lighter, almost platinum! I'm always aiming to get lighter so this was a great result. I can see that over time this product will help maintain the cool, platinum look that I'm aiming for. I left the shampoo in for about a minute and a half and the conditioner for about 3-4 minutes.

The shampoo lathered really well, I got all over coverage from a small squeeze so I think this will last me at least a couple of months (maybe even more) from a weekly use so I believe these products will be good value for money.

The conditioner was silky smooth and washed out well, I have found that some conditioners stick around after rinsing and make my hair heavy and greasy but not this one.

They both smelled really nice and floral, not chemically at all like some other purple hair products. They were a pleasure to use.

Also only a minor point but the bottles are good sizes and easy to hold... I have an inbuilt shower shelf/cubby hole and tall bottles don't fit very easily so I'm glad I could put these bottles on the shelf rather than down on the shower floor.

I have used other purple hair products a lot and am definitely impressed by these, I'll definitely be buying them again going forward!

This L'Oreal purple shampoo and conditioner put my salon bought purple set to shame after using it. My hair felt like it had had a treatment at the salon! I like the fact it is just to be used 1x a week, alongside your regular colour shampoo.

I actually really liked these two products together. My hair naturally tends to warm up quite quickly after being bleached and the shampoo and conditioner helped keep it cooler. I have also found that with other colour correcting products that it weighs my hair down, sits really flat and looks greasy. But this system doesn’t do that! Hurrah! My only problem is that they aren’t in big enough bottles! My hair is down to my lower back and as you can imagine, takes a lot of product.

Using both these products together is a must! The shampoo makes you feel cleaner and fresher and the conditioner is perfect for softening and hydrating! Absolutely perfect combination! I love the bottles of them both, the colour and the smell! They both left my hair smelling yummy! They do work in just one use, my hair is brighter and blonder! They do all of what they say they do! 100% happy with both of these products! Will continue to use them weekly and buy them again!
