Has its ups and downs

Colour: blue black Price: $15

I dye my hair every 6 months just to keep the colour so I decided to buy this brand of hair colour I thought it was cool because it says it has non ammonia so that's good.

So as usual I applied it waited for 45 mins then rinsed out. It looked good no bad opinion on that. But 2 days later I washed my hair with one of my colour last shampoos and conditioner it completely washed the colour and my brown came back threw. I guess black is the hardest colour to maintain but I've never used a dye that washed it out so badly.

I haven't used that brand since.

Good and bad.

I'm a bit torn about this product, but will most likely continue using it because of the amazing colour. I use the shade Intense Red, which I have got so many complements on and truly love.

Unfortunately I think that is where the positives end. The application is awful, it's oil based, and feels like it. My hair felt so heavy and greasy I just wanted to shampoo it again and again, but didn't want to wash the colour out. I think that it is a it less drying and damaging and is nice to not have the ammonia smell but I don't think it's worth that. The formula is also quite difficult to spread thought the hair, I've coloured my own hair so many times and this was the first time i'd had a patchy result, so I was extra careful the second time. It just feels like it clumps in the hair a little bit.

The other big downside is how fast it fades, especially as the colour I use is meant to be intense, it doesn't look quite so good after a couple of weeks.

I would love suggestions for other products in similar shades so that I don't have to buy this again!

Good coverage, soft and shiny hair.

Clear simple instructions were within the box.The mixture was easy to mix and the cardboard box holder was handy when trying to empty the containers into the application bottle. I did find the product dripped easily from the bottle, other than that application was standard. Love the fact there was no strong smell of ammonia. Processing took 30 mins and then I washed it out in the shower followed by the application of conditioner supplied. Product rinsed out easily and I dried my hair off after finding it easy to style. The colour is as indicated on the box for my base hair colour. My hair is soft and shiny, love the feeling of my hair after using this product.

Tips: Put something down to catch drips as I did find it tended to drip from the bottle more easily than products I usually use.

Not vibrant enough

I usually use Swarzkopf hair dye (hypnotic red) but i wanted to try this brand as it wouldnt have been as harmful to my hair - I dye my hair red. I tried the 6.60 Intense Red. After I washed my hair, I noticed that the colour wasnt as vibrant or as shiny as the Swarzkopf and the colour didnt wear as long. I usually get 4 weeks with Swarzkopf and i found i needed to recolour after 3. I definately wont be trying this again.

Good but nothing to tell your friends about

This was a nice colour on the box, for my shade it should have been more vibrant (it said vibrant red after all). Its an OK colour but not as bright and flamboyant as I had hoped for. It seems to last well (was about 3/4 weeks ago and my hair fades fast) it has kept its colour. the application was a tad patchy (that may not have been the colour but the application) and the colour doesn't seem to have taken over the previous shade that was there. It has made the roots brighter (which is strange as they are usually the darkest). while this colour was nice I won't be purchasing it again

Tips: Maybe best suited for light hair (blonde to very light brown) wanting a nice red colour but not for mid really for brown and darker

Didn't Last

I purchased this from the supermarket in a hurry as needed to pep up my hair for going out.

The bottle is a bit unusual and at times slipped out of my hands as it is quite wide to hold.

I really like that this product doesn't have the nasty chemical smell that other hair dyes come with. It mixed up easily and the directions were straight forward. This was easy to apply apart from the odd shaped bottle.

The results were gorgeous initially but after a few washes the colour faded alot and became very dull.

It works but nothing special

I often colour my hair blue black as I love the intensity. I found this product fine but wasn't anything extraordinary. It is very much like a lot of the other supermarket bought colours I have used in the past.

The colour was great but not as intense as some of the other brands.

I did find that it lost it's shine and depth of colour quite quickly and left my hair feeling like it had a residue on it. It didn't give me the nice soft shiny hair that I have got from other products. Overall it was decent for the price but I wouldn't specifically choose it again.

Tips: If any colour gets on your skin be sure to keep wipe it off straight away. Also "colour remove's colour" so when you go to wash it off. Damp your hair a wee bit and rub the stained skin with a little bit of the colour from your hair.

nice but ...

i brought this a few weeks ago and brought the Deep Violet colour. it did what it said about 100 % grey coverage as i sadly have grey hair :( lol. anyway this was a nice smell and it was pretty much easy to follow instructions and apply. It felt a lot more smother than other hair dyes that I've tried. once i dryed my hair i found it to be nice and had a soft feeling to my hair. the price was ok as i brought it on special at countdown for $11 and thought id give it a go. as far as the colour it turned out quite dark more like a almost black but it did have a little bit of a Violet shade in it. I found it didn't keep the colour in for very long and seemed to me as it faded only after 2 weeks. overall it was ok. and only if it was on special again i would consider buying it. I personally think they should have more purples but at the moment they only have the Deep Violet. oh forgot to mention that the bottle was quite round and it was a little hard to have a good grip on the bottle I could not see the point in having such a round bottle and also the bottle did not fit the cut out hole bit, that was on the box to hold it altogether while putting the mixes in, it just didn't seem to work..

Tips: always rub in Vaseline around your fore head and around your ears so your dye wont stain your skin. do this with any type of hair dye.

Amazing

I love it I use the dark brown and my hair feels so soft and healthy after I dye it. I use this product every 6 weeks and I love that it comes with heaps of conditioner so it lasts many washes.

DIY on a budget

We were heading away for the weekend and I wanted a colour to spruce up my dull hair. Popped into the supermarket and grabbed a light brown for $10.99

The instructions were easy to follow and gloves really generously sized. Love that there is no ammonia, no nasty smells that make my eyes water!

My husband put my colour through and found the colour spread easily through my hair.

After washing out and drying off my hair, I was really impressed with the colour, it was very similar to my natural colour but bright and shiny. A week later it is still lovely.

I enjoy using the conditioner, it has a beautiful smell really helps keep my hair soft and prevents it from drying out.

Overall I was really impressed and would use this colour again
