Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

What a cost effective, 'does what it says' product!

I usually use another primer for under my make up but made the switch for four days to Garnier BB cream and while it didn't feel as smooth to put make up on top of, it made no difference to my usual end result and is about 1/2 the price of my usual! I will definitely be keeping it on standby.

I also used the product on the weekend as a bit if a make up alternative - it was lighter than foundation, powder and concealer on my skin, took no time at all to apply and have a nice natural look while covering imperfections and minimising my pores.

A great product - cost effective - does what it says it will!

Nice light natural coverage, smells great and has a nice thick consistency, it is really hydrating, all in one moisturizer/light coverage, easy to apply, took me seconds to blend with my skin :-)

This BB cream is really lovely to use, it has a lotion like texture, is easy to apply, build up and blend, and it oxidises quickly to approximate your skintone. I received the shade 'Light' which is the lightest shade available, and while it's close, it's still a shade or so darker than I need for my NC15 complexion, and it has that slight orange cast when applied that you hear about with Garnier BBs. Pairing it with powder and concealer made it more wearable, but wrongly matched BB makes me a bit self conscious. My skin felt very soft, hydrated and the BB cream gave a lovely dewy and luminous finish. If you're deeper in complexion than me, I'm sure you'll find your match and love this product, but anyone paler than NC15 may struggle to make this work. The wear time was great, with the BB cream staying in place the whole day; no sliding or oxidising further. I applied it using a damp beauty blender, but the light texture and blendability would lend itself well to being applied with your fingers on the run as well.

I really like this BB cream! It has a great silky consistency and applies easily and smoothly. It has a really nice fragrance too, not the typical makeup smell. The coverage isn't great however, it is relatively useless at covering blemishes, but over smooth skin it leaves a really even and slightly dewy finish which i love. The medium shade I was sent was a touch too dark for my skin currently, but I think I could get away with it in the summer. The bottle is a decent size with a resealable cap, and relatively easy to use, but it can be tricky not to get too much product out. It's nice to wear on its own for those days when you cant be bothered with foundation, especially for hot summer days, but I find it doesn't quite last all day. I would reuse and recommend it to a friend, but it's not quite the miracle product it claims to be in my opinion.

Love love love love this! I stole my sisters i loved it so much. Gives good coverage on spots and evens out your skin tone amazingly! Covers blackheads and gives your skin a lovely glow! I found the consistency a bit thicker than bb but lighter than foundation.

I don't use BB creams because the last couple I've used made my skin break out but I actually really like this one. I thought it might be a little dark when I first saw it but the medium turned out to be a perfect colour when worked into my face. It also has a surprising amount of coverage. I can see myself using this as a light coverage with powder for a casual day face. Very impressed as will definitely be buying more:)

I like this as a primer as i like full coverage, for around the house this is good on its own as it takes away the redness and makes me look more alive, although for full coverage as a primer this is amazing, smooth and seems to make imperfections invisible under foundation. I enjoy this product and would buy again. also the colour matching is great with my pale skin tone.!

The product was quite thick compared to other bb creams so i find its easier to control the amount of product that comes out of the tube.

And is easy to apply all over nice and evenly, it hasn't got much of a perfumed smell but it does slightly which in some casescan be a little off putting.

Recently Ive been hearing a lot of good things about BB creams. They sounded amazing and I instantly jumped online and started researching, reading reviews to find one to buy. I don't have a lot of spare cash, so I do research a lot before I lay down my hard earned cash. So obviously I was delighted to have the opportunity to review this BB cream.

Firstly, I have super super fair skin with no natural colour (blushed checks etc) so people always ask if I'm sick. I also have dark circles under the eyes (night shift worker), bit of a freakly red splotches and recently Ive had a few pimples too. YAY, so to sum up - I naturally look like death..

It only comes in 2 shades. Light and medium. So I ordered the light shade. The packaging looks nice. Its a squeeze tube with the nozzle at the bottom so there shouldn't be much product wastage once you get down to the end of the product.

I was shocked when i did squeeze the cream out as it looked so dark! (my skin is so white clinique is the only brand so far that has foundation white enough for me). The smell wasn't the best either. Consistency wise - it was nice, felt smooth and velvety.

Day 1: I washed my face as normal, dried, then applied the BB cream over half my face - I wanted to see if I could notice a difference in before and after. And I honestly could not see a difference at all, my skin felt moisturised. However, the colouring looked exactly the same. Pimples, dark eyes, red splotches all stayed the same. It goes on very thin - so id call it a tinted moisturiser maybe? But even then I didn't notice a colour difference. I left my face like this all day (I dont get out much) and I felt like at the end of the day my face did need more moisture.

Day 2: I did a full makeup look. Washed and moisturised first. 2 layers of BB cream. Concealer for eyes and pimples. Blush for cheeks. Eye makeup etc. I just couldn't grow to love this product. My skin colour didnt look even at all, it just looked like I had nothing on. Also, because I applied more of it I noticed that it did rub off onto clothing.

Long story short, this product wasn't for me.

The consistency of the product is rather thick but creamy, however when a applied the product spreads for a nice smooth coverage. It is surprisingly rather fragrant with a slight fruity aroma to it - which adds to the fresh feeling when worn. Price is pretty affordable as its a common drug-store brand which can be found pretty much everywhere which makes it easily accessible for anyone and everyone. Packaging is rather standard. I really dig the compact size and light weight of the bottle/tube and how easy it is to gain access of the product within (pretty similar to squeezing out toothpaste in a way) (the lid of the product also seems also secure). Overall I really liked this product for its nice, light glowing finish on the skin. Would defs use again!
