Garnier Miracle BB Cream

I have dry/combination skin and found this product great for my skin type, the texture is quite thick but it spreads easily and feels light on the skin. I applied using my fingers and found it easy to blend. The coverage did not cover my freckles but did even out my skin tone, it doesn't cover as good as the photo on the packaging shows. I found it lasted all day and didn't make me break out I would defiantly buy this product as I think it is good value for money.

Tips: A little goes a long way. For extra coverage add powder over top

Fast perfection

The smell of the product was good. It wasn't strong, or have a fake make up type smell. When applying the BB Cream it went on very easy and evenly. I did feel that I may have needed to match my neck skin colour with bronzer. I wore it through the hottest part of the day at the pools and it didn't run or make my skin go oily nor did it make my skin irritated. I'm a new mum of two boys so I defiantly don't have time to apply foundation so this BB Cream is a perfect product for my life style. Will purchase once the trail sample is gone.

Tips: For best results don't apply to much and make sure it is well blended into your skin. Applying to a clean face is always going to give you great results.

Loving Garnier Skin Perfector BB cream.

I am very impressed with the sleek and stylish packing. I used my BB cream after applying my daily moisturizer, I found that I didn't even need to apply any moisturizer beforehand. This Skin Perfector went on smoothly and provided great coverage. All I needed to do was add a brush of powder and I was ready for the day. I love the long wear on my normal skin and it gave me healthy glow without a cakey look. It was really a product I would recommend, However, I would prefer it to feel more light weight on my skin. I would replace my normal foundation with this BB cream. Garnier Miracle skin Perfector BB Cream is now a staple in my beauty regime.

Quite good for a BB Cream

Found this quite good. Got quite good coverage and good results in terms of removing redness and evening out skin tone. Definitely need something more intense if there are big pimples but usually it is enough for every day wear and pretty good value for money.

Tips: A little goes a long way. It is also quite hard to remove it at the end of the day, required a lot of toner/make up remover.

Would not Buy

This BB cream had a very strong scent which made me nauseous and gave me headaches. Went on Dewy I prefer Matte but I can see how it would give women a look they want. Covered most redness not all. Went on sticky but that subdued after about an hour and the look was ok. By the mid afternoon it was oily and definitely needed touch up. I wouldn't buy it again.

I wasn't wowed

Lets start off with the good. I think that the packaging is great. I found the box to be very informative, more than any other BB Cream I have used in the past. Not only does it have it's claims as to what it does for your skin. It also has the % results from a survey taken during testing. It has an age indicator on the box showing the recommended age groups for this cream. So over all if you were standing in the shops you could tell pretty much from the box if this is what you are after.

I did like the smell of the product...slightly floral perhaps or citrusy. Mostly a lovely fresh smell. I also like that it feels quite weightless on the skin (apart from when I touch it,I will cover below in my dislikes)

*please note here that there was a mix up & I received the Medium shade instead of the Light as request*

I found this cream went on quite dark. I am by no means pale or super fair skinned so when picking out of the 2 shades medium would seem like the logical choice for me. However having found the Anti-aging BB cream by Garnier in Medium that I brought some time ago quite dark I had asked to try this in Light instead. Im glad I didn't because I think it would be too pale for me. Let me explain. When I apply this cream it does go on quite dark & orange but once rubbed in it seems to settle into the skin after awhile & becomes almost a perfect fit shade wise. Still a little dark but not orange like first applied. That's not to say that I wouldn't like to one day to eventually try a sample of this in the Light to see if it is a better fit but I don't see me buying another tube.

What I didn't like about it. I found it to be quite hard to blend. I tried with both my fingers & a sponge on different days. The fingers were the better application but because I found this to absorb quite fast I found it a bit difficult to keep moving around & blending. I also don't like that my sink feels a little tacky/slightly sticky to touch once it's applied. I find this strange because it does absorb so fast, so not sure what causes that. I didn't find this to correct blemishes or give me much of an improved flawless look either. It really only gave me a slight tint to my skin, very light coverage if any coverage at all, so better suited in my opinion as more or a primer in summer when I have more of a tan & wearing a darker foundation shade. I have other BB creams that I feel work better for that no make-up look.\ One last thing to note is that while I have normal skin I found my skin became quite oily in the afternoon when wearing this. (I have had this problem recently with another product that I will review so this is more of a side note because it may be my skin being weird lately)

Over all I wouldn't personally buy it again but as I say I will hold on to it for the warmer months to wear under foundation as a prep & primer until I have used the bottle because I wasn't 100% unhappy with it, I just wasn't blown away.

Tips: If you are a medium skin shade & you buy the medium but find it quite dark during application, just keep applying, let it settle for 5 minutes then look in the mirror again. I find it just needs some time to settle.

Not for me...

I was pretty excited to try this stuff... I've been glued to my maybelline dream fresh for a long time now and was looking forward to changing things up! The packaging is really nice, the shiny light gold tube allows easy access to the product, and ensures that you can actually get most of the product out (vs. a pump). The BB cream itself smells AMAZING - kind of fruity I'd say. So you can see how exciting this was for me... until i squeezed out the product. Looking at it in my hands I thought "have they put the medium shade in here by mistake?" This stuff is DARK. And I'm not even super pale. So I blended it out onto my face, and the colour was way too warm. It comes off really yellow in natural lighting, which looks rather horrid on my cool-toned skin. I think this product would work better on olive skin. To prove my point further, I tested this out on my Asian flatmates hand... It was her colour. Not exactly catering for the light-skinned crowd. This stuff does blend out surprisingly well, which it needs to since the colour is so dark, which I did like. It meant it could be applied really quickly with your fingers. The finish is really dewy, and super light coverage. The product claims to even the complexion and correct blemishes, but I didn't really see this. my cheeks still looked red, and my pimples looked exactly the same. The dewy finish and the SPF 15 are the only two things about this product that I like. Maybe if you have clear, warm-toned medium skin, this product will work for you. Personally, I will be sticking to the maybelline dream fresh for everyday use. Maybe I could use this as a primer for when I'm going out... But for now I am not impressed.

Tips: If you have pale skin, any redness etc, you will need to use something on top of this, I personally used my mac studio fix powder. Do not use if you have oily skin - it's super dewy.

Give it time

Let me start by asserting some specifics; I have dry skin, as most do in winter, blemishes and redness. Now we've got those down we can talk about how Garnier went about correcting this. I applied the BB cream after moisturising, and found application incredibly easy, smooth with no clinging to patchiness. Once applied I found that the finish was very light coverage, not quite heavy enough to cover my blemishes sadly, and very very dewy, almost oily. HOWEVER! Within about 5 minutes this dewiness had faded and the bb had settled on my skin. The coverage increased as the dewiness died down and my redness was completely covered! My acne, while still requiring some concealer was much less visible. All in all it lasted about 6 hours before I felt it needed a touch up but during that time it felt lovely on my skin, very lightweight and moisturising.

Tips: Apply with your fingers for better application. Always apply moisturiser first .

Excellent base

I had previously never tried a BB cream that was actually for my skin type - I have bought 2 other BB creams, but I accidentally bought the oily skin version, so they dry my skin out like crazy and have therefore been sitting in my drawer wasting away (if anyone wants them, let me know...). My skin is usually normal, can get a bit dry around my nose and forehead and sometimes gets randomly oily on my nose :(

When I got this BB cream, I tried it out in all the ways I could possibly think of to find out how I like it best - as a base for my foundation, on it's own, on it's own with a powder, and I tried it out with different foundations and powders too. By far my favourite way to use this is with my Revlon Colourstay liquid foundation (the one for oily/combination skin again... always read the packaging, girls). Alone the BB cream is quite thick in consistency, and can look a little shiny on it's own, but combined with the matte look that my Colourstay gives, it's awesome! Super easy to apply, just put it on with my fingers (washed hands first, of course!), it has a very light amount of coverage, but because of that, I have found that I am using less foundation. That plus the hydration of the BB cream has stopped my foundation looking heavy and cakey, which is is sometimes prone to doing throughout the day. This means less touch ups for me, and my foundation seems to last a whole lot longer and looks "lit from within" instead of completely matte or dewy.

The packaging is pretty simple, not super cute like some other BB creams I've seen, but definitely not bad looking. The smell is great because it doesn't really smell like anything at all. I think that even if a product smells great, there's always going to be someone who dislikes it, so no smell is better. I think it's definitely worth the price, which is not much at all. It's just great, I love it so much, and it will definitely be my go to base from now on.

Tips: 1. If you're having a good skin day, this will look good on it's own, with maybe a bit of concealer for problem areas (for a dewy look). For a more matte look, try it with a matte powder. 2. If you mix it with your foundation, rather than using it as a base, it will sheer your foundation out a bit, which can be pretty good if the foundation is usually too heavy. 3. If you're using it as a base, be patient and wait until it dries/sets to put your foundation on, otherwise, I've found, it makes it a little harder to blend the foundation

Garnier BB cream

i have combination skin and my nose tends to be slightly dry, the cream is thick and a good coverage which is easy to apply using either fingers or a make up sponge, it is a sheer enough coverage to make it look natural and the finish is a matte which helps avoid unwanted shine, coverage lasted all day without me needing to reapply. Price wise it is very reasonable and i like that i can pick it up from the local supermarket along with my groceries. packaging is good and product is easy to get out however i did find that i squeezed out to much so had left over that had to be washed down the drain other than that a great product that i will continue to purchase as this along with a little mascara is a quick and great looking beauty routine for the busy mum i am

Tips: only squeeze out tiny bits at a time to avoid wastage, you generally don't need as much as you would if using foundation
