Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

I got up early this morning as I had a job interview at 10am and I wanted to have plenty time to get ready. Of course this meant that the 7 year old spilt his cereal (which I had to clean up) and the man dropped his contact lens (20 mins of crawling around searching the floor later I found it stuck to his foot) and the puppies escaped and ran rampant around the yard. So after a quick shower I had exactly minus two mins to do skincare and makeup. Thank goodness I had this Garnier Miracle BB Cream sitting conveniently on the bathroom vanity. I opened the tube (which was already out of the biggest negative I could find with this stuff, the pointless box!) squeezed some of the creamy stuff into my palm and slapped it on my face. Didn't even have time to moisturise first, just the BB Cream! I was really impressed when I looked in the visor mirror at the first set of traffic lights. The coverage was even, my skin didn't look dry despite the lack of moisturiser and it had a slight "glow" about it. The point of writing this in this review is not to vent (although it does feel better now) but to highlight one of the coolest things about BB Cream, its sooo quick and easy to use! My skin is normally on the drier side and I have never worn foundation without moisturising first because it makes my skin look dryer but this stuff really did do it all! It has a pleasant fragrance that doesn't hang around and interfere with your perfume. I used the Light but will need to move to the Dark in summer as it was almost a little too light even now. Its a really reasonable price and easy to find a stockist too. I could contiune typing its praises but I think you get that I loved it (and I think a puppy just ran past so its probably time to play chase the puppies again!).

This BB cream is an exceptionally lightweight, luminous and refreshing product, especially well suited for dry skin. I found that it produced a glowing, dewy effect and I also enjoyed its fragrant smell. I found it blended well with my natural skin tone and was relatively easy to apply. It gave me an even, smooth skin tone and counteracted any redness I had on my cheeks, and under-eye darkness. However because it is quite lightweight I would recommend using a concealer with it to hide particularly stubborn under-eye darkness. I also found that it didn't wear particularly well over the day, and I had to reapply it later in the afternoon. Overall though I would definitely recommend it, particularly for people with sensitive, dry skin.

I trialled this not expecting much as I had heard BB creams were basically tinted moisturizers and I really like a good coverage foundation as I have redness in my cheeks I like to cover. This BB cream sooo exceeded my expectations. I love it!! I have used it for 5 days now and would not go back to using my old Revlon Colourstay Foundation. I find this BB cream has better staying power than my foundation and makes my skin look so much more radiant. It also doesn’t dry my skin out like my old foundation could do at times. I even love the smell of it. The consistency wasn’t at all like I was expecting either. I was expecting a thin watery cream but this was nice and thick, although doesn’t feel thick once you apply it. I applied it as I do my foundation – with a brush. I tried it the first couple of days just by itself to see what sort of coverage it gave and how long it would last and it lasted well so in the past couple of days I have gone back to my usual routine of adding a bronzer as well on top of the cream. This product is so worth the money and I am glad I was given the opportunity to trial it, as I would never have gone and bought it to try otherwise, now I’m converted and will buy it again once this tube runs out!

Not a huge fan of BB creams as I like a more full coverage look. I tried this both by its self and under foundation and it worked well, it had good coverage for a BB cream and lasted all day which was a plus as most don't. I found it be really moisturizing and not to oily on the skin either which was nice under my foundation. Would defiantly use again, it would be a nice product for in summer or away on holiday when you don't won't to wear too much.

I have been using this product for 5 days now every morning and have trialed it as a make-up primer and also by itself for days I want to look more natural. It created quite a nice base for my make-up, but for some reason tended to wear off in little clumps throughout the day. When I wore it on it's own it reduced my redness and evened out my skin tone as well as still giving me that natural look I craved on 'no make-up days'.

My skin is normally normal-dry and this product didn't give me any irritation or added dryness, it actually gave exactly the right amount of moisture. The packaging is simple but practical (the product is very easy to get out) and the fragrance is pleasant and not overwhelming. The product is a perfect consistency and doesn't run out of the tube (which means you won't ever use too much) and application with both fingers and a foundation brush is a breeze (so easy to blend in). The coverage is light which is why I used it as a primer for my foundation (but perfect if you just want to reduce redness). I found it lasted most of the day, but I started to see my redness again after about five hours so re-application is necessary if you want to keep the coverage consistent. This product is incredibly affordable compared to a lot of other BB creams, and is very easy to source (sold in most supermarkets).

I will definitely be using this product again and passing my positive experience on to my friends (amazing quality and results for the price).

Although the colour of this BB cream was much too red/ orange for my yellow skin tone, I loved the texture and the satin finish, it gave my skin a lovely luminous look, which is what I love. I like that my skin felt hydrated all day too. If I could of had a shade more suitable to my skin tone, I may have purchased this again.

I'm very slack when it comes to applying all over make-up daily but I found the Garnier BB Cream very easy to use. My face is naturally quite pale but the cream colour looked natural on me. I finally looked healthy instead of looking somewhat ill because it also provided some cover for the regular dark marks under my eyes. It gave me an even tone all over. The cream is quite smooth and blends in easily but if I used too much it was quite sticky and shiny. It did not feel heavy on my skin and lasted to the end of the day. At the end of the day I could wash it off without any drama and on the one occasion when I fell asleep before washing it off, my face did not feel suffocated the next morning when I woke up. The fragrance is pleasant and the packaging lived happily in my handbag without leaking everywhere. My skin feels soft and I have not experienced any breakouts since using the BB Cream.

I have previously tried the miracle skin perfecter bb cream for oily skin and have now tried the product for normal skin. There are a few main differences I found between the products the most obvious being the shape of the tube. This product has a thicker consistency than the cream for oily skin which I personally prefer as there is a less likely chance too much of it will come out of it will spill off my hand as I'm trying to apply it which the other product frequently threatened to do. The coverage provided by this product is reasonably good but compared to it's counterpart for oily skin would perhaps need more frequent touch ups. It feels a lot more moisturising though which is great. It is very cost effective and lasts ages even using it everyday, it's easy for an on the move lifestyle and can be found in any local supermarket.

The first thing I noticed about this product when I opened the tube was the scent. I'm not a huge fan of scented makeup but luckily it dissipated pretty quickly. The second thing was how thick it is for a BB Cream! I found on my skin it blended pretty easily for its thickness - I applied with fingers and then buffed over it with a flat topped brush. However, I did have a few issues with this product so that I probably wouldn't wear it again by itself: 1. It's pretty oily. I tested this out with primer and without, and I was quite shocked that without primer actually worked better for my skin. However in both instances I noticed that by the end of the day my nose was pretty shiny - and that's not a problem I normally have. 2. The shade. While I'm pale, I'm not ghostly so I was kind of annoyed that the Light colour was actually too dark for me! This was especially noticeable when I applied my concealer afterwards (I have quite dark acne scarring so even with a full coverage foundation I need to apply concealer to these) - even with buffing in I still had pale patches that were even more noticeable towards the end of the day. 3. The longevity of the product. This definitely started to wear off towards the end of my day. As it's a BB Cream and therefore quite sheer it wasn't super noticeable but as I said earlier it just enhanced the fact that my concealer was a different shade. All in all it's not a *bad* BB Cream, but probably not one I'd repurchase when I run out.

I got mine in light, so when I first did a makeup swatch on my hand, I was surprised at the colour. But when it's blended it's a bit lighter, it's suited for people who aren't pale. I also felt that the cream was a bit thick and took awhile to blend out. I've tried blending this out with both my hands and a brush. Applying it with a brush seems much easier but I still had to even it out with my hands because it just didn't apply very well.

The coverage is very light as well, so it wasn't enough for me to apply just one layer. There's also a light fragrance coming from the cream which I didn't like, because it smells a bit strong to me. After applying it, it takes while awhile to dry, so it ends up caking very easily. It only lasted me a few hours without reapplying. It gave my face a glowy look, but it felt very sticky.

This isn't the first BB cream I've used and I must say the other BB creams have worked a lot better for me than this one. But this is the cheapest BB cream I have used so far. So if you don't need a lot of coverage, this BB cream could be for you.
