Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

I have used Garnier BB cream in the past and went for the medium shade not the light shade which now I realise was probably the wrong colour for me as the light shade has blended into my skin nicely so much that I can't tell if its actually on my skin or not. It doesn't have quite the coverage I would like that I have seen in other BB creams but it is fine if I am having a 'good skin day' then I am not bothered if it covers a lot or not.I applied it just with my fingers like putting on a moisturiser and it was easy enough to work into my skin. I am not sure if I would go out and buy this for $17.49 I think I would prefer another brand.

I have just reviewed the Anti-Ageing version of this product which is definitely the one for me. This one, which is still a great product just did not have the level of moisturisation that I require at 54 years old. I therefore felt I did not want to continue using this one as it was not right for me. I do think that it would be perfect for someone much younger. I am a convert to the Anti-Ageing product!

BB creams are interesting because they only have a hint of colour yet people expect them to take the place of foundation. If you want a proper base and total coverage, go for foundation; if your skin is pretty clear but needs a touch of colour or help evening your tone out, use a BB cream. It's especially helpful for mums like me who don't have time to do the full makeup regime any more but still want a hint of coverage. I haven't been using it long enough to know if there is enough vitamin C in it to make it effective, but the product certainly added moisture to my skin. (In fact, this BB cream verges on the generous side, so I wouldn't recommend if you're prone to oiliness). A very good buy for less than $20.

I have sensitive skin that reacts to many ingredients in products and causes me a lot of grief when trialing new developments and/or skin care products. I equally struggle with the colours of foundation and BB creams as my skin tends to have more of a yellow base which isn't well supported in many of the brands available. I was lucky ed to trial two BB creams - one the normal Miracle Skin Perfector and the other the Anti-ageing one so I chose to apply both - one to each side of my face for a week. On initial application I noted the very pleasant fragrance of the anti-ageing BB cream. It was subtle but refreshing. The normal BB cream had a different fragrance and while not as pleasant as the anti-ageing product it was still perfectly acceptable. Packing for both was identical other than the additional of a red banner on the anti-ageing BB cream. Packing was attractive and functional. Now to the colour - I chose the medium colour. My immediate reaction was OMG this is so dark! I was almost put off using it but thankfully I perservered as the colour spread out evenly and went on smoothly. Neither product left streaks when applied to cleansed skin. I did not pre moisturise but applied both creams to bare skin. There is quite a lot of orange pigment in the Medium colour but it did blend in well.. Did I notice andl differences in the appearance of my skin when wearing two different types of Miracle Skin Perfector BB cream. To be frank the only glaring difference was that the anti ageing BB cream gave my skin a more highlighted appearance on my cheekbones and above my brows. The normal BB cream was drier but still left an overall smooth appearance to my complexion. Both products lasted exceptionally well throughout the day and left me feeling like I was bare-skinned but with a more even skin tone than would normally be the case. I have some serious pigmentation issues under my chin which neither product covered very well. Whether the anti-ageing BB cream gave my wrinkles (I am lucky to not have a huge number of them) or not is still under debate in my household. My skin certainly felt firmer and definitely glowed. The side of my face that used the normal BB cream did not feel as firm nor had the highlighted appearance as the other. Overall both creams left me feeling confident that my skin was well presented when out and about. Nobody noticed or commented that my face looked different one side to the other. Best of all I experienced no break-outs or irritations which is always a bonus for someone with sensitive skin. The only downside is the overall orange tinge that I would have preferred to be more toned down in the medium. I think that as far as value for money goes this is a great daily wear product that leaves skin feeling hydrated and natural

Let me start off by saying I absolutely love this BB Cream! It's the first one I've tried, only because I didn't think they would do anything for me as I usually like fuller coverage foundations. This BB cream is now a favourite of mine and I will definitely be using it heaps in the future... :) I really like that Garnier has come out with a few different BB creams for different skin types, it means there is something for everyone. I like the packaging, its cute and easy to use, the squeezy tube allows better control of how much product comes out. It looks quite dark when you squeeze it out but don't let that scare you, it blends away to almost no colour whatsoever. Its very creamy and smells pleasant. Like I said it blends away very well, but still gives a nice amount of coverage. It makes the skin look smoother, more radiant and hydrated. It lasts on my skin a good 7-8 hours I would say. Has no shine or oilyness. Minimizes the appearance of pores and is nice and light on the skin, not heavy at all. I think this product would be perfect for girls who don't like to wear allot of makeup during the day because it makes your skin look naturally flawless without the weight of a foundation.

This foundation is brilliant! its so smooth and light, i didnt even notice i was wearing it. it blended into my skin perfectly so i had no noticable lines. The only downside is the hole that the foundation comes out of is quite large so alot of foundation comes out at once. A smaller hole would be great, then it would last longer as well. the foundation smelt ok, some can smell horrible but this one didnt. :)

The first thing I will say is that I love the fact this is paraben free!!

I really like the formula of this BB cream, its quite a "mousey" type cream,, so goes on really nicely. I also liked the smell (Which is just the normal Garnier sweet scent).

I tried this BB cream quite a few different ways.

1 - Followed the directions and used it without moisturiser.

2- Used a Moisturiser then this on top

3- Used underneath foundation as a primer

4- Used with a powder on top

Overall I found that using a powder on top worked the best for me, it made the BB cream last alot longer on my face. Without the powder it would last about 4 hours max, but with powder it lasted all day.

The product itself had a nice coverage, the colour (Medium) was perfect for my skin tone, and it did feel hydrating, even out my complexion and give me a healthy glow.

I did need to use concealer on blemishes that were still visible after, but that is pretty normal.

All in all it is a nice product, and I would repurchase but next time I would be better getting the oily skin version as it did leave me feeling quite shiny and oily at the end of the day.

After using the product for a few days, I've found that it does not make a good foundation as it does not conceal anything on my face. However, I have found that in a way it is a great moisturiser, but leaves me feeling like I have wet skin. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a 2-in-1 of a moisturiser and a foundation.

My 18yr old daughter tested this product for me. She absolutely loved it. Definitely considering buying the product for future use. Loved the dual purpose, helping her skin and a light foundation as well. People commented how nice the product was and noticed she looked different.

I loved this product. It does what it says. My face looked great and my skin tone looked more even and radiant. I would definately buy this product again. It gives me a slight make-up look, but without having to go the whole hog. It's subtle and very very easy to use.
