Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

a perfect perfect product..... does everything it claims and at a fraction of the price of my other foundations..... I have had to "move up" to the anti-aging foundation (sigh) but for all you lucky ladies on the right side of 45 you will NOT find a better product!

I have had very mixed feelings about this product from the very start. I think my expectations were a bit too high for this product. I received the Garnier Normal Skin BB cream in Medium. In hindsight I should have gone for the Light shade as this one ended up being a bit too dark for me most of the time. I think the packaging is quite nice and the box has all the information that you would want to know on it which is good, as I hate it when you have a box that doesn't tell you anything useful about the product. I think the caramel brown colour of the tube is quite nice and think that the flat bottom is quite handy as it means you can stand it upright on your dresser. The consistency of the BB cream is thick and creamy and it wasn't running down the side of my hand when I went to apply it. When applying it I just applied it like my normal moisturizer, with my hands. As I was doing this as a trial I tried different ways of applying but would not recommend any of them. I tried applying with a duo fibre Real Techniques brush and a normal foundation but didn't like either of them very much and I still had to use my fingers to blend. I did try a buffer brush to blend but found it took off half the product. I also tried applying it with a beauty blender, which worked better than the brushes, but again had to use my fingers so hands it was for me. The coverage was a light to medium coverage and did well at covering my minor blemishes and redness. I did try applying twice for extra coverage, waiting in between for the first layer to dry, and that did work rather nicely instead of usingfoundation. The longevity wasn’t too good compared to another BB cream I have used, and the weather isn't even hot yet. I have found that as it dried it sometimes looked a bit orange on my skin and it would all be pretty much gone by the time I go to wipe it off with my makeup wipes at night. When applied under my matte foundation it made it look oily and also decreased the longevity of that product too even though it did give me a more flawless look. One of the things I was most disappointed with was that this product has made my skin oilier. I have combination/normal skin depending on the season. Some days it goes slightly oily or slightly dry. My skin hasn't felt as oily as it does now in about 4 years! I may need the one for oily skin now which is a bit annoying. Will have to go back to toning my face which again I haven’t had to do in years. If this BB cream had of been the perfect fit and I would have been using it every day then I think this probably would have lasted me about a month and a half. For $17.49 for a 50 ml package it is a good price but I would rather stick to my moisturizer and foundation combo as I get exactly the right colour for my skin, SPF protection and oil free skin. I will try this BB cream in this shade again in summer when my olive skin looks a bit darker. I’m not sure if I would recommend this product to anyone who has similar skin to me.

I used the Normal BB Cream, Medium shade for a week. I used in all different ways , using my fingers, using a brush, using a primer, using a powder. All gave different results. My favourite way to wear was to buff the bb cream in with a brush and then lightly dust on some translucent powder. It is a very thick consistency so use a light hand. I found the medium to be a bit orangey on my skin , I usually use yellow based foundations. But when applied lightly it gave a sunkissed look. Overall I wouldn't use this as my everyday BB Cream but would love to try again in summer when my skin is a bit darker.

I love this product! I would have never thought to have brought this myself as I wasn't sure if it would do as it said. After trying this product I will be going out to buy it again, I fell in love with it the first time I tried it, you look like you have make up on and it hydrates your skin - 2 mins in the morn and you are ready to take on the day! I love this and recommend to all !

I'd never have considered buying a BB Cream as I prefer foundation with a full coverage.

However I was very impressed by this product. It gives me a youthful glow, provides a nice amount of coverage, yet still has a natural look about it.

I'm particularly enjoying having a foundation that's more moisturising than my usual because winter dries out my skin.

unfortunately I did not enjoy this product, I reckon think the shade was right for me ( too dark). I also found it went quite hard to blend and found it dried quite orange. I do however believe it provided adequate sun protection.

I have worn this product for the past week and have really liked it. My whole life I've used tinted moisturiser but now I'm going to be chaning to bb creme. It made my skin look lovely and flawless and like I wasn't wearing makeup at all. I wore only one layer thin layer each day. I will definitely keep using this product as a light daily quick to apply foundation. The only thing I would recommend is not using a normal moisturiser before applying bb creme as that seemed to make my skin oily. When it's on my face its nice and light on my skin whilst looking amazing.

After my first use I was really impressed at how well it balanced out the redness on my cheeks. My skin looked smoother, more even and illuminated. II've been using this daily ever since and have recommended it to several others. I would not hesitate to buy this again.

I have normal skin, sometimes dry sometimes oily. I found this product easy to use, easy to squeeze the right amout out of the bottle. Sheer coverage, and felt light throughout the day. On days when i didn't want to wear too much makeup, this was perfect. I would use this in replace of moisteriser, and it would give my skin a tint of colour. On days where i would wear more makeup, i would use this as a base under my bronzer. Non greasy, not powdery. Light creamy texture, blends well.

My new favourite! I trialed the normal skin cream. It goes on easily there is no sticky or oily residue. It lasted all day it's so nice and light weight. It is quite strong smelling but it's not unbearable and it is pleasent smelling. It's great on its own and under a bit of foundation. I loved how it instantly evened out my skin tone and gave me a nice glow. I love how it has an SPF 15 too. It's also free from parabens. There is nothing really bad about this product except the strong smell.
