Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Review

Skin Type -My skin is normal , bordering slightly dry during winter which is why I use moisturiser frequently. On the first attempt I used the Garnier BB cream alone, because I wanted to see how if faired on its own. It left my skin feeling slightly dry but shiny. Consistency - The consistency is creamy, making it easy to apply. Application - On the first day I applied it exactly like my moisturiser (like the packaging recommends). It definitely makes my skin look even and hides the blemishes. On the subsequent attempts I dabbed it on the dark spots on my face to provider lighter, more natural coverage. This definitely gave me better results when used along with a primer. Fragrance - It has a sweet smell that cannot be ignored, but it goes away quite quickly. I personally prefer my make up to be less 'fragrant' than this. Coverage - The more I apply, the more coverage I get. For lighter results, I use it on target areas and then blend it out. The finish, on its own was quite shiny/oily. Longevity - I had to apply it only once in the morning. Price - This was my first BB Cream experience, but Garnier is definitely priced strategically in comparison to competing brands. I would still look out for specials to see if I could grab it for $15 or under. Packaging - The tube structure definitely makes it easy to pour the product onto your palm. At the same time, the nozzle is narrow enough to allow you to dab it on to the brush/sponge directly. Results - The product definitely evens out my skin, however I would not use it on its own…I need to use a primer to reduce the shine. Would you recommend it - Not to be used on its own, but to be used along with other product(s)

I was really excited to test out this product as I have heard so much about it , I really love it, its a perfect match to my skin, easy to blend, nice and light and creamy, only down side is when Im having a bad skin day it doesnt provide the coverage Im looking for so I end up having to wear multiple foundations , but apart from that its fantastic , very easy to remove, will definitely purchase more in the future :-)

I really enjoyed testing this product. Over all it is smooth and smells really fresh. The texture is great and is easy to apply, it does need a fair amount of blending when going for a second round of cover. I took time to try it different ways. I usually use foundation during the day for work because I can get some really nasty blemishes. First I tried it on its own. One application - the coverage was light but took the tone of my skin very well. Great to wear as a light cover if your having a "less skin conscious day". I then tried it as a primer for my foundation. Literally just using my foundation to cover those stubborn spotty areas - I found my foundation stayed on longer. I then tried it as a full cover, like I would with my foundation. Doubling up gets a bit tricky, it's not that easy to do and blending was a bit tricky. It also became quite oily and shiny which is not a look I like. I prefer a matt finish. Overall it's a good light cover and foundation preserver. I had a bit of a break out on my cheek which I don't usually get but I guess using a new product can do that.

I would buy it again but perhaps for a different skin type to prevent the sheen and breakout.

I trailed both this one and the anti ageing version.This had a slightly thicker consistency but both were creamy,pleasant smelling and the same shade. It went on easily and smoothly with fingers but it did remain shiny so I had to set it with powder to make it matte which I prefer. It stayed on for about 2-4 hours but disappeared rapidly after that. My skin is normal but starting to show my age with larger pores and crows feet and this did even the skin out. I am not sure if I am seeing changes to my actual skin yet but I will use up the tube. I may recommend to friends if they are looking for a bb cream and I will use it up.

Okay so my biggest issue with this product was the Shades! Every other bb cream I have had has been in the shade medium, but this medium made me look like a caked up oompa Lumpa! Needles to say it was difficult to get a decent trial out of it. The texture of the product is quite thick, almost a mousse which I quite like. The coverage is a medium, as my scars were showing through, but that is quite typical of a bb cream. I wasn't able to get a good test for how long the product lasts just because of the colour mismatch but I'd imagine it would last quite well over the day as long as you weren't getting too sweaty. It was quite a nice bb cream and even had a nice scent. But I think I will stick to my maybelline bb :)

This product was an easy product to trial as I was on the look out for something new to wear daily without having to wear a full face of makeup. It has great coverage and feels nice and light on my skin and you don't need to use a lot to get good coverage. I found it easy to apply with my fingers and it left my skin feeling nice, not greasy and not like I was wearing a foundation which can be quite heavy. The fragrance was neither here nor there for me not bad and not great. Once dried it has no smell at all. I did find that I had to reapply before heading out for a night but I was ok about this as it is a cream not a foundation. The packaging was simple yet appealing and easy to use. Just the way I like it. As for pricing I was telling a friend all about the product and she already uses it and told me it is often on special at the supermarket which is good news for me. In saying that I would also pay the full price and you can tell I have already recommended it to a friend.

I have normal skin with a few blemishes so I was really looking forward to this product that claims to fix so many things! The packaging is ok, - what I was expecting but I do think you get a large amount of product for your money. The smell is pleasant. I first thought the product was quite gluggy when I tested on my hand, however with the heat of my skin it melted out nicely as I applied and I only needed to use a little product to get complete coverage which is great. The colour looked quite orange on my hand at first but once rubbing in it seemed to match ok so I thought it may be ok for me. Now for the face test.... I applied after cleansing, toning and moisturising, like I would with any BB cream. Unfortunately the shade medium was much too dark for my skin, luckily its a Saturday night in for me and I don't mind looking like an oompa loompa at home for the evening :) I only had to use a small amount of product to get complete coverage compared to other BB creams I have used so I was very happy with that. It did even out my skin tone like it says it will but it didn't correct blemishes as well as other BB creams. As for the "healthy glow", I looked like I had just been for a run, too glowy for me! It made my skin look very oily. This may have been able to be toned down with a powder over the top but I like to be able to wear my BB cream alone at times. It lasted well for the few hours I had it on and I am glad it has SPF. Overall, I was underwhelmed, however I think some people may love the "glowy" finish and I can see others potentially really liking it.

I have tried the anti aging BB cream in this range as well but I consider myself to have normal skin also I was excited to try this one out to see the difference. I found this BB creams coverage was pretty similar to the anti ageing one but the finish was a bit dewier. It felt really lovely on my skin. Seemed to last throughout the day. The packaging in my opinion is very dull and boring but the product as an every day coverage product it did the job. As I don't wear full makeup it worked for me.

A wonderful cream that will be replacing my garnier pure moisturizer and finishing powder. Only need the smallest amount for full coverage that will leave you glowing for the day. A real time saver as it does two plus things in one step and also saves money as a little goes a long way. Price and size of bottle is reasonable but I do believe that you would be able to get cheaper but I personally like Garnier so will be more possibly likely to continue use. Packaging in all right I have seen better and seen worse nothing really eye popping about it to grab your attention. I would recommend this to my closest friends as I don't want all knowing lol.
