Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream Nude Review

I am pretty much a diehard BB Cream user because it's quick and easy and I go for the minimal look (mainly because I have't found my perfect foundation yet). I'm getting older now though and BB Cream just isn't cutting it sadly. I've tried pretty much all the BB Creams so I wasn't really expecting anything different. Boy, was I wrong. First of all, I squeezed a bit out and it was white, like normal face cream, put it on my face and it felt like moisturiser. Then I started to blend it and something magical happened! It seemed to blend and change into my skin tone. Immediately my face had a nice glow, it felt lovely and moisturised and it didn't even look like I had anything on. My skin was instantly perfect and it just looked natural. Huge win for a 30 something with aging skin. There was no orangey looking line around my face where I hadn't blended it properly either. I couldn't believe how forgiving the stuff is. So, yes, I'll be buying this miracle cream again, I love it, it saves time, it magically matches my skin tone and makes me look healthy! Not bad for a cream you can buy at the supermarket (for an incredibly good price too).

I suffer from patches of vitiligo on my face as well as rosacea so was looking forward to trying Garnier's SkinActive BB cream. It comes in a tube with a flip lid and is easy to apply with your fingers. The cream comes out white and when applied blends in to your skin colour and the shade itself was perfect for my skin. I found it nice and creamy and it spread easily on to my face and did look natural, however, I found that there wasn't enough coverage to hide my little imperfections! I did apply a second layer as mentioned on the packaging and although it helped a little, I could still see my vitiligo and it didn't feel as natural as promised.

It claims to feel like you're not wearing make up and on every day I wore it, it disappeared when I got hot (granted, it was very hot!) By the time I got home, there was no cream left on my face so I have to question it's staying power!!

I did like the fact that it offers a 15 SPF and would like to try this again in the colder months when I'm not so hot and sticky and it hopefully lasts longer on my face!

So I wasn't expecting to love this, but I do! For me it was super moisturizing and muted the red tones on my face really well. The sent was also quite pleasant, kind of smelled of oranges to me lol

I was so excited to try a new Garnier BB product as Garnier BB cream is my favourite every day light cover. I really wasn't sure what to expect and it still surprised me when I opened the tube to find the cream is white! I wasn't sure how it was going to work but applied it as I would a regular BB cream, rubbing it into my hands a little first then spreading it out across my face and blending down onto my neck as I would any moisturiser. It went on super smoothly and evenly. Instantly I could see my skin transform and begin to glow! As I rinsed my hands off under the tap I saw the water turn an orange-brown colour! "What is this sorcery?!" I thought to myself and had to have another go, applying the cream to my hands so I could watch it change. Somehow, like 24 carat magic, it changes from pure white to a glowing apricot shade and it really does "blur" my skin to give a smoother, brighter appearance. It gives just a light coverage, enough to blur imperfections but not completely hide them. So it is perfect for at home with the SPF 15, for the gym, or general days when I don't want to wear make up but still want my skin looking fresh and smooth. It definitely doesn't give me as much coverage as the regular Garnier BB cream but I found I could build it up, the same I do sometimes with regular BB cream, to add a little more coverage. Just pop on a little concealer if you're feeling a bit extra! It smells nice, not overpowering, just a really light, subtle apricot scent and makes my skin feel really soft. So it has the bonus effect of being really good for your skin with the added benefits of vitamin c and apricot oil and the SPF as I mentioned before. When I look at my skin wearing this in the sunlight, it gives me a real glow, as if I have a great highlighter on. I also tried it underneath foundation and found it worked well to keep my skin hydrated and added extra glow to that too! Personally most days I want a bit more coverage but it did help for days when I don't want to "do makeup". It blurred freckles and sunspots and the darker patches I have around my cheeks and eyes since having children were blurred and glowing. It seems to reflect the light so as to give the appearance of smooth, even skin and that glow.

As a long term user of BB Creams, I've tried a few. This one had a really good consistency, a proper cream, which was an immediate surprise as it was white. Don't be fooled. I applied the cream onto sections of my face then smoothed on with my fingers, and as the consistency of the cream is so good, it went on really well. Surprising again, as it immediately changed to a skin-tone colour. Did it match mine? Not quite - it was me if I had a bit of a tan, however it didn't look too dark for me. What I immediately noticed was the grey circles under my eyes instantly improved! The smell is pleasant, not overpowering. The coverage is a little lighter than I was hoping for giving it was a cream, however it did improve the appearance of my skin, minimising the red capillaries, the overall look being smoother, more even. I did patch cover a few places, but it didn't build up like a foundation. My skin felt moisturised all day, which again was a surprise given the current humitidy and heat in Auckland, and did indeed have a healthy glow to it as claimed. Personally however, now I'm in my 40's I find a 'glow' doesn't really suit as it can reflect back the imperfections/fine lines, and this is exactly what happened. The actual coverage was still in place after a busy day, which is important for me as a massage therapist who sweats a little during work. Packaging wise, it is typically Garnier with all the info you need on the product and ingredients. The tube is standard, easy to squeeze, and while I prefer pump bottles so there is no issue with leaking product/mess from tubes while getting lid back on with product on fingers, because this is a cream, nothing leaked out. Overall I'd say this product does exactly what it claims, I would use again and I'd recommend it, possibly for first time BB Creamers especially wanting healthy looking day time skin without foundation.

This stuff is amazing my skin has never ever felt so nice before so easy to apply makes me look much younger would highly recommend to anyone.

I use BB Cream everyday, however this one shockec me at first, when you first get it out of the tube it's white but then as soon as you start rubbing it in it changes to an orange colour, seeing this color I thought I would end up looking like a carrot, however that couldn't be further from the truth, it blended perfectly into my skin and you could hardly tell it was there. While it doesn't offer as much coverage as some others I have tried it looks much more natural and just evens your skin tone and minimises redness. What I like most about it is that it doesn't settle in to your fine lines like others sometimes do so you can use this without a primer making it a good choice when you just want a quick easy choice in the morning.

I was super excited to receive this product as i’m constantly mixing moituriser with foundation to get a 2 in 1. This product comes out smelling pleasant with little to no smell, is white and smooth. I used it all over my face and it felt light and smooth. It glided over my skin but was very uneven and streaky, requiring quite a bit of work patting it to get an even coverage. There was little colour and no real glow. I tried in the following days squeezing it into my hand and mixing it until the colour was showing before applying it and this seemed to help the application go on better and provide an even coverage. I wouldn’t buy again as it just didn’t give me any colour and the coverage wasn’t smooth enough for me.

This product was a real surprise. When I saw it was clear I thought how on earth is this going to work? It has. Pleasant, sweet fragrance and is velvety smooth. When I smoothed it on, like magic the blotchyness and sun spots were minimised. Not gone but I didn't expect that from a BB cream. It felt light but gave great coverage and the color was perfect. It was a humid day but it lasted well. Didn't go shiny and I didn't feel I needed to reapply it. I have used other Garnier BB creams but this is by far the best best. I have at tan in summer and not in winter and with being able to adjust to any color this is a go to product anytime. This sits at a fantastic price point for the magic it performs.

I will have to admit I kinda freaked out when I first tried this on my hand and the cream turned from white to an orange-brown...however as you keep rubbing it into the skin it does blend in quite nicely. The consistency is that of your standard moisturiser - not runny but not super thick either. It has less coverage than the BB cream's I usually wear but I would still wear this on a "no makeup" day, just to even out my skin tone. It doesn't do a lot to hide redness unfortunately so if thatch a big concern, a pop of concealer should help.

My skin is dry - I felt this product added a nice level of hydration without making me look shiny. There is a light scent to the product also.

The product comes in your typical BB cream squeezy tube - the same as the original Garnier BB cream I believe and is easy to use, I found it applied perfectly fine just using my hands.
